What most neurodivergent people (I'm one of them!) really need is actually just a simple clarification. That's why when the interviewer explained that they wanted to understand, he felt like something is finally cleared. So whenever we encounter a neurodivergent person, it's very needed for us to explain our reasoning or intention :) I'm glad that the interviewer understood this. Most of the time, for those who don't know about this, tend to make neurodivergent people uncomfortable in the middle of conversation. But hey, we learn something with an open mind every day.

That moment he understood your intention of understanding him instead of asking questions just so you can find things to judge him about. That moment he understood your intention of understanding him instead of asking questions just so you can find things to judge him about. I feel
like he's so used to real and hallucinatory bullying that it's very hard to distinguish when people genuinely want to understand, connect and believe him. The reaction in the moment he understood that is probably the most genuine human reaction I have had the honour of seeing. Just by creating these small moments of connection could change these people lives drastically. Thank you!
When he hugged his sister and cried and said “ this is how I feel” my heart ❤️ he is such a beautiful soul.
11:49 THATS SO CUTE!!!! it's so nice to see him smiling and having fun with someone
I agree. I loved when he laughed so hard with Chris. He needs that joy in his life. 😄
This makes me want to cry. This man is speaking the most honest words anyone ever spoke. His brain is fighting itself and because of that battle he probably couldn't even imagine something like being intentionally deceitful or mean. so awful to experience. I hope he finds a circle of tolerant friends to watch movies and shows with him, and grow with him through the years.
Bro, I love the guy but I can't ignore the fact that the man talking to him is incredible at making questions and having a good conversation
For real, this cat is the truth
When Miguel gave his sister that hug and let out this breath of relief and security and said “this is how I feel”. That was enough to make a grown man cry. Nothing but love and respect for u Miguel.
Thank you
I'm a film student, and every time things get tough I watch this interview, the part that Miguel tells why he likes to watch movies. Because knowing that I can be part of entertaining someone who is having a hard time, it gets me emotional.
I feel exactly the same way
It makes me really happy to see that nobody in the comments are being mean :)

That was very wholesome on the interviewers part
He’s pretty slow bro I don’t think he can tell the difference regardless
@@etherious5957 he probably has trouble understanding the interviewers motives due to his autism which causes general socialization issues but he's definitely intelligent enough to know that that there are people who ask him these questions to belittle him. once he was told that he was asking for the sake of understanding his situation, he opened up. nothing slow about that. just an autistic brain working the way that it does.

I love this
He’s so self aware and articulate. I teared up numerous times throughout the course of this video solely because of how brave he was to come out and speak on his diagnoses on social media despite how unfriendly people can be. His support system is amazing; you can tell how wholesome his mother’s parenting has been as well as how impactful his relationship with his sister has been.💜
Isn't funny how the ones who are so alone just want the rest of the world to be happy and healthy? It makes me wish i could be friends with more people like that because those are the best qualities to have as people especially in friends
I am SO ecstatic to see the comments enabled! I think Miguel is a very smart and charming man. He has answers to questions so quickly and responds with thoughtfulness. You can tell he really loves and appreciates those who care for him and stand by his side. I really hope he will begin taking his medications to see if that will help to fight this battle. Good luck Miguel and family!
Godspeed, much love n care for everyone especially Miguel.

Imagine how strong willed this man’s brain has to be to be able to talk and hold a conversation against all his issues. This man is an absolute genius. I just love how sincere Miguel is, specially when he realizes that the interview is about learning about him and understanding his situation. I really hope Miguel is doing ok today!
You know what really hits? His desire and appreciation for real friends is exactly what so many people quietly wish for in their own lives.

What a smart, sweet and articulate young man.
What an intelligent young man. Very articulate, very well spoken. You can tell this is extremely tiring for him.
"I just want people to be happy and healthy with each other instead of being there all by themselves" ❤️
And to know that he is indeed “alone” in his head in a sense makes him saying that so much more beautiful (but also sad)
As someone who struggles with Asperger's (higher-functioning autism), depression, psychosis, having different personalities that helped me cope with over 16 years of childhood truama, I can genuinely say this person has a genuine idea of what it is like to struggle nearly every day for your whole life, and never give up!
My son is autistic and this just hits me so hard, it's like being able to hear inside his mind. Sometimes I know what he's thinking, but other times I wish I knew.
Does he talk? My toddler doesn’t yet
Even with all of the effects he goes through he still shines through it in his answers, definitely a unique brain in there.
@M M i get the joke, but because of the situation is was hard to find it funny. Maybe because it's a serious video.. like there's times to joke and times not to kinda thing

This was brilliant to watch and I feel like I learn each and every time how to show people how valued they are when they do not necessarily communicate or function as I do. Thank you for teaching the world how to love people better.
I've been binge watching this channel for a bit, and would just like to add to your words that Chris genuinely instills a sense of awe for what he does. The man has the emotional intelligence and capacity the size of a mountain. meu irmão é exatamente como ele, foi a diagnosticado com 12 anos, hoje com está 24.
