I just got this pattern a couple months ago and to be honest I got quite confused. But thanks to your crystal clear instructions I know 100% what to do. I also am going to add pockets! :)

Your skirt turned out beautifully! Luv the way you used the back of the denim as a contrasting tier. I really enjoyed seeing all of the helpful tips within the sew along (especially the one about using yarn for gathering). Great job!
Thanks, Maureen. You can if your pocket top is closer to the top of your skirt, otherwise the pockets should stay well because of the stay tape and understitching. Thanks for checking out the tutorial. 😊
You still have to pull it to make the gathers, but the yarn is stronger so the thread doesn't break when you pull it like regular thread. It's also easier to remove after you sew. Hope that explains it.

So Crystal, when you put the yarn in for the gathers, did it gather automatically or did you gather it yourself? I think I missed something 🤔
