    I love your tutorial! I love a tier that doesn't have a lot of gathering like yours. And I've gone through like 20 videos, and all they talk about is how long the tier is...they never show exactly the round about skirt or not going into details. Or even show the step by step tutorial like u just did. I'm sooo thankful I found you. Thank you! 🙏🏽 ❤

    This is a very good tutorial. I especially like how you calculated the percentages for the tiers...so helpful for math challenged sewers like me. The only thing I'm adding is understitching the pockets at the side seams. This helps keep them from popping out as you take your hands in/out. I'm sewing my skirt as we speak. Can't wait to wear it. :-)

    Really helpful and clear. My favourite skirt to wear has three tiers like this but the top of the skirt has 8 inches of shirring. It’s super comfortable to wear. Do you think the measurements would be the same for the top of the skirt if it was to be shirred instead of using a piece of elastic?
    Thanks so much.

    • @HiSydGraham
      @HiSydGraham  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably similar! I’ve never shirred fabric before, so you could make your first attempt a practice skirt! If it works out, amazing! If not, you’ll learn better for your “official” skirt!

Question- I want to add a drawstring with elastic for the the waistband. I usually make a drawstring out of the same fabric (like for merchant and mills 101 trousers for ex.).
