There is a few different reasons I went with the stock hole. If you cut more than a 1” off the rear you get into the hull and have to do more fiberglass work on the rear. I wanted to keep the stock seat so it worked with the shape that’s cut into the seat. There really isn’t enough room between the original hole and the seat bracket. Hope that helps. To be honest it looks very normal once the seat is on there and not a protrusion. 🤘🏼🔥 Check out my other videos for the final product.

couldnt you just tap a new hole for the bow eye so you dont have a weird protrusion?
