Snowed in with a major blizzard that hit us yesterday but it's always a good day to cuddle up on the couch under the electric blanket and watch basement of Horror
A new favorite episode for me! I fell in love with that bigfoot when you first showed him in an older video, and I finally got a hold of a boxed one last year! I'm still searching for an affordable loose figure, he's too cool to only be confined to the box.
Great subject matter! Years ago i purchased the Archie McPhees Bigfoot Action Figure. Love collecting Oddities Like what you are Showcasing in this presentation. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing these! Great toys. In 2005, I had a personal experience rockhounding near the base of Mt. St. Helens, it made me a renewed believer in Bigfoot.
@@RaymondCastile It's a hobby that collectors of specimens of rocks do. In this case, I was looking for rocks formed by the volcano, in a dried out river bed...
That Godzilla is a 90s Horizon figure that was sold as a pre-built "kit." I don't remember how I got it, but it was free. It has some play wear, which is interesting, considering that it was pricey when it was new.
The Bigfoot and Yeti are great looking figures. I have the Roswell alien, and I also have the alien robot they released, which is my favourite. Did this company release a Jersey Devil or Mothman?
No. As far as I know, they never made a Jersey Devil or a Mothman. Those would have been great for the second series of boxed figures. I don't know why they only made two...and one was a Centaur. The second series should have been Yeti, Mothman, Chupacabra, Jersey Devil. Then they could have added a Centaur or Cyclops to round things out.
Just letting you know they did make it to normal toy stores. I first came across them at a place called Toy Liquidators which was in the Woodbury Commons (Central Valley, NY). They had a mix of the first and second series ( picked up the yeti). TL later became a Kay Bee toys but they still sold the same stuff inc these guys. They did make there way to some ToysRus outlets as well because I remember seeing them there also. This was all in the mid to late 90’s. I liked the Yeti, but overall never cared much for the line
Wow, I had the small version of the grey alien. I bought it at the Magic Kingdom in a store that I think was right across from Alien Encounter in Tomorrowland. No idea what happened to the little guy. Hope he's doing well.
I can't begin to analyze their motivations. I don't think a cryptid line would have sold, but a Bigfoot or Yeti would have been popular. They should have made a Hammer Yeti. Bigfoot would have fit right in with their generic monsters from a few years ago, like the Headless Horseman and the unlicensed Fly. At this point, I'm not paying any attention to what Mego does or does not produce.

Thank you! I thought cryptids like Bigfoot and Yeti would make for good winter viewing.
Poster is awesome!
Thank you!

I remember these from the 90's, during the x files craze, I wish I bought some now!
They're pretty affordable on eBay. You'll pay more for the shipping than the toy.

Thank you! I have that figure. It's been in production a long, long time.
Spot on pop cultural assessments!
Thank you!
Love your final thoughts about the UFO/paranormal craze of the90s and the70s, I agree 100 percent.! Lots of con men within those communities
I think we are still feeling the effects of the damage they caused. It will take generations to rinse it out.
The reptilian Alien is pretty cool.
He's cute. I wish I knew where I put my loose one. He's around here somewhere.
Now I'm hoping you're going to show us a V toy collection! Always nice to hear Communion mentioned! One of my favorite alien films!
I don't have any V toys, so you won't be seeing that episode!

Thank you! I don't know what rockhounding is.

These are awesome! As a Cryptozoologist, some of these have found their way onto my shelves. Digging that Gojira that's peaking over your shoulder.

@@RaymondCastile Oh, yeah. I remember that one. That one was popular when the Trendmasters Gojira figures were a big thing.
i have the bigfoot, nessi and yeti from back then. I never seen the aliens before.
I find the Red Devil👹 on the shelf to the left very intriguing
It's a Krampus.

That Bigfoot is giving off some serious Wilford Brimley vibes right there.
He does look like he's hosting a 2 a.m. informercial aimed at ripping off seniors.

Alien Races!
So much Lochness!😅 I never saw it as one word, in spanish it's Lago Ness, lake Ness, a lake called Ness.
You can never have enough lochnessity.
Ray why doesn't Mego make a cryptid line ????
