honestly a lot of the creepy pokédex entries to me don’t read as literal facts about the pokémon but more as common folklore that people have about them. Lots of cultures have weird and creepy folklore about real animals like wolves, bears and koalas that doesn’t reflect on those actual animals. it probably explains a bit how trainers can safely have ghost type pokémon haha
