    Hey gamers! Lots of people are asking for the full list of prime Pokémon, so I figured I'd post it here.
    Enjoy, and let me know what cool observations you make!

      Charmellion is also prime in Galar at 379 but not prime in Kalos at 84 or Blueberry at 168.
      Every dex starts with the grass, fire,and water starters of that region so every first stage water starter, second stage grass/fire starter, and third stage grass starter are primes in their regional dex.
      So you could make the equation even harder to solve by using different regional dexs.
      Another option is to use the pokemon infinite fusion dex which is currently at over 220,000 possible pokemon about 100,000 have unique sprites.

    Pokemon nuzlocke but you can only use pokemon who's pokedex number is a prime number

    • @ZunkleFunkle
      @ZunkleFunkle 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +95

      If this is restricted to the respective regional dex, the only starter you could get fully evolved is the grass one but you couldn't use its first stage since 1 isn't prime.

    • @Soulraven2735
      @Soulraven2735 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +95

      @@ZunkleFunkleIn that case, you might have a similar rule from monotype runs where you can use a Pokemon if its evolution has that type. For example: in a gen 5 mono-fighting challenge, you can use Tepig since Pignite and Emboar are Fighting types.

      No but I love this idea and (assuming you allow 1 even though it isnt a prime number) could be even more interesting if the full challenge is "by the end of the game ONLY the prime numbers can be filled into your pokeex" - you simply Cannot catch a pre-evolution, so your starter is the only one you get to evolve full-stop. (Could also work the opposite way round where all prime numbers are banned, which has the side effect of forcing you to start with the grass or fire starter and never evolve it 😂) Alternatively, this could be converted into a really interesting thought experinemt challenge - assuming you want to fill in ONLY the prime numbers in your pokedex, which region lets you complete the most?

    Fun fact, during the HGSS era of pokemon, the pokemon TCG had "special" pokemon known as pokemon prime.
    Pokemon prime had no special gimmick or different name, the name was mostly just used for marketing purposes.
    Sadly, out of the 26 (not a prime number) pokemon prime released during that year, only 9 (not a prime number) of them used pokemon that are prime numbers!
    Then a few years later during pokemon's 25th anniversary, pokemon released the set "celebrations" which included some throwbacks to old pokemon tcg eras, including a dragapult prime, which is a prime number!
    Which means now 10 (still not a prime) out of the 27 (still not a prime) of the prime pokemon are actually prime.

    • @DaTimmeh
      @DaTimmeh 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Assuming all pokemon are available in the game (equal chance encounter) and you mean perfect IVs for every stat, it's
      172/1025 x 1/4096 x (1/32)^6, or about 3.8e-14. 3.8/100,000,000,000,000. Halve it if you have old shiny odds, so 1.9e-14.
      P.S. This is the odds for a single encounter, not an entire nuzlocke.

    i actually really like the idea of using pokemon to encrypt, although i'm not sure if typing/height would work as markers if not unique? perhaps a combination of all of the above though would be enough to guarantee a unique code for that pokemon that's difficult to unravel

    My favourite thing about the internet is that after years of people telling me maths is awful and sucks and making me feel bad, in about five seconds I can suddenly be around people who go "MATHEMATICS ARE SO MUCH FUN" any hour of the day.
