@@MJComix They might not be super valuable, but I get excited for stuff from around the world!! I've already had my childhood/teen years collection destroyed after moving out and ANOTHER sizable collection had to be liquidated as a "friend" stole my car and blew it up. Now, I just try to get INTERESTING things for the walls and that make good conversation pieces. No longer collecting for possible future gain on top of just loving it was VERY liberating!!!! Lmk if your friend would want to trade a few for some American books, and I'll try to accommodate to the best of my ability!!
@@bobtrottier8178 apologies, I have just seen this comment. I will ask them, I can get hold of some UK Marvel magazine size comics if you want. Contact me via the website contact form or through instagram.
Nice collection. They all look like they could use a press and clean, looked like foxing and mold/dirt on some of them. The market is picking up a bit for non-US books, even the UK Marvels The better places to sell are the Foreign collectors facebook groups, rather than eBay.
These books were stored for the last 20+ years in either the attic and shed. Not bagged or boarded, just sat on top of each other. So they are already not stored in the correct condition. Due to this the majority of books had foxxing which spread, you can easily see this on the UK comic prints as the outside is white paper. Any book that I perceived to have any significant value I believe I handled with the utmost respect.
Very pleasant surprise to stumble across ur channel, great vid mate and even more surprising as a South African myself was to see a spawn (first Angela) from here in Sa😮in that collection.
I'm about half way through, hope you find something. Cool Captain Britain, X-men& Panther. , it would be tragic to have so many books and nothing at all with any value. It wasn't looking good with all the uk books.
I think “tragic” is a little extreme. It looks like this guys dad enjoyed his collection, and did it more for fun than profit, unlike so many collectors these days
@@literallyunderrated I will agree on your evaluation on the situation, but for the first half of the video there was nothing of any value. Given the time period of a lot of those books like the video says if he had been collecting in America it would probably been loaded with key issues. Sadly whoever now has those books probably just wants the value of the collection. Its got me thinking though. I'm at that stage in life where I'm wondering who I would pass my books to. Whilst I have people to leave things of value to, I really don't know anyone who appreciate the collection for itself or even know what to do with it. My girlfriend would probably get very frustrated trying to open those odd ones in the plastic slabs.
@@Whalewraith Yes, I’m kind of in the same boat. My collection means a lot more to me than to anyone I could pass it down to. And if I died with my comics my only regret would be leaving my loved ones with a chore of figuring out which ones are valuable to them. I guess the easiest way would be for them to sell it in bulk and at least get a fraction of the value. Like you said in this case the pence variants aren’t as sought after as the US so while its disappointing I guess its not a big loss either. My plan is to start to reduce my collection, instead of building it bigger. That way I can enjoy some of the profits from the care and work I put into it, and leave less stuff (if any) for my heirs to figure out. So while I pretty much stopped buying a few years ago I am still enjoying the ones I have. Cheers 🍻
I never held onto them but I bought all the uk Marvels for around 10 years when they 1st came out, then I discovered an actual comic shop and switched to the American editions.
Very much liked your exploration video but for the love of god don't use the background music loops again. It's really like listening to a dentist's drill.
Im in the States but would LOVE to get some of those Spider-Man etc weekly issues!! And some of that horror stuff, look AWESOME framed on my walls!!!
Thats a great idea. Thank you for watching 👍

How fun!!! I did not know about mask. Looked it up. That’s very cool. Nice X-men.
Yeah I think the mask if bought by itself is probably more valuable than the comic! 😂. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff
Thank you so much for watching 👍
Captain Britain's were a nice score !
Thank you, it was fun to go through. Thanks for watching 👍
The property looks amazing!

Thanks for the info. I will pass this on to the family looking to sell it. Really appreciate you watching the video! 👍
Awesome video thank you very much.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for stopping by.
dude. the way you handled some of those books, i bet you added enough spine ricks to cost a few hundred dollars damage

Plenty of awesome books in there, and a such a breadth of fun stuff. Some of those oversized magazines make the comic art look great.
Thank you for watching 🙏.
This is awesome
Cheers Mike! Hope you’re well 👍

Oh wow! Thank you for watching. Crazy it was in there. I knew it was a variant of some kind. Hope you enjoy the content 👍

Awesome mate, well done!
Thanks a lot!
Good watch mate, some great finds there. Awesome thing to do 👍
Thanks Darren. I just enjoyed going through the boxes. I hope it helps them. Thanks for watching Bud 👍
Are those Fantastic four books magazine size? Very cool video and very cool books.
Yes they are UK comic reprints with the comic inside in black and white. Appreciate you watching the video and commenting 👍
As soon as I saw those UK comics my heart sank. Lol. Couple of nice books there though.
I know it’s a shame the market isn’t fond on them but there were some great books in the end. Appreciate you watching buddy 👍
I never held onto them but I bought all the uk Marvels for around 10 years when they 1st came out, then I discovered an actual comic shop and switched to the American editions.
Fair play for doin all that one handed 😁
Seems like the previous owner was reading those care bear comics one handed too 😏
Thanks Fuzzy, I really enjoyed deep diving into those boxes!
Those UK Image variants are worth a good dime, spawn 9 is probably a $30-40 book here if in grade. Good luck
Thanks for watching!
The American civil war cards can be a few quid each if in good condition.
Amazing I will let the family know. Thanks for watching 👍
هل مازالت تطبع هذه المجلات ؟
The UK magazine style comics are no longer printed. Think they stopped in the 90s. Thanks for watching.
A fun video! Requesting no music next time. It's annoying!
😂 that’s noted. Thanks for feedback and for watching.
Great video, but for the love of all thats holy...NO MORE MUSIC!

😂 thanks for the honesty. I appreciate your feedback, I won’t do it again, I’m glad you liked the video though. Thanks for stopping by and watching.
