@@KaylasMusicalDigest545 my biggest memory is he had a Rickenbacker bass guitar made for my son when he was 15 and sent it over to the UK. I adore this song. It sounds very much like our sweet, precious, wonderful Mo. Can't you just imagine his joy putting together the tech heavy instrumentation. On this album all the brothers brought individual work to the table, as well as the ones they collaborated on. I love Mo's great voice, and you are right, it is a treat to hear him with a lead. The impact all the brothers have on me and others is that somehow we feel like we actually know them. Of course, that's not the case, but what a great gift they gave us all. Keep us going Chad. Miss Maurice and Robin so much. The Bee Gees were so versatile and progressive. They never felt fully successful so I think that made them hungrier to experiment and challenge themselves. Thanks to you, Chad, I have been exploring their last few albums...brilliant!
Poor Mo only lived about a year and a half after this Album was released. Great album and solos to go out on.....Maurice was the kindest , most modest man. They were never disco, really unfairly treated after fever...Good choice Chad....

And the pleasure, you give us, goes on and on, Chad! Well spoken. A triangle has three lines. Take away one of them and you get two separated ones or an open side. What they did over the years, was expanding the room inbetween that triangle to enormous greatness. Once, they tried to bring Andy onboard, just to build a square. Who knows, what would have happen then. Wasn't sadly given to them and to us, their fans forever!

This is beautiful and one of my favorites of Mo!!! I believe this was written by Mo while he was in rehab waiting to be reunited with the love of his life, Yvonne. They lived in Miami and had a beautiful home on the bay. He adored Yvonne. There is a you tube video of him talking about his alcoholism and rehab called Maurice Gibb - Fighting Back. Very insightful as to who he was. When I watched this I fell in love with him. Wonderful story not to be missed!!! I believe that is also when he wrote Man in the Middle. You can see the pain in his face in this song thinking about his drinking days and the pain he caused his family. So proud of what Mo accomplished in 1991 and beyond.

To answer your question, I have experienced that feeling before "When summer love is in the air, it feels like I'm walking on air" I have to agree with you it is an AMAZING feeling 🎆
Watching these videos and their Live By Request show, they all seemed happier and as easy with each other as they had ever been and Maurice had put his drink problem long behind him. It makes it all the more tragic that he died so soon after this.
Great song, Maurice had a great voice. He sang lead on some of the early years 1965 they put an album out which all brothers could be heard in leads. I love the Bee Gees!!! Greatest group ever. Love your playlist this weekend. Thanks Chad for all you do for us fans.
Just a quick note Chad, they have those figures wrong. If you remember the video reaction you for them doing the wall of death, the album "Size isn't Everything " they said was their 30th album. Which would mean this would be their 31st album.
What a song. It's a shame that Maurice didn't get more lead songs. He has some great vocals too. I guess It's why we cherish the few songs he's on. I would like to request a new song "My life has been a song" from their album "Idea".
Some aditionally thougts of mine: Buying their TIWICI-album those days in 2001 (having all their material) and hearing about that they did it just like a back to the roots thing, brought me to an idea. I recorded a kinda timeline-cassette, searching for songpartners. The result was: 1. 'Technicolour Dreams' and 'Halleluja I Love Her So', 2. 'She Keeps On Coming' and 'I Want Home', 3. 'Man In The Middle' and 'All By Myself', 4. 'This Is Where I Came In' and 'New York Mining Desaster 1941', 5. 'Sacred Trust' and 'To Love Somebody', 6. 'Wedding Day' and ''I've Gotta Get A Message To You', 7. 'Deja Vu' and 'Close Another Door', 8. 'Voice In The Wilderness' and 'Jumbo', 9. 'Embrace' and 'The Singer Sang His Song', 10. 'Walking On Air' and 'My Thing', 11. 'Loose Talk Costs Lives' and ''With The Sun In My Eyes' and 12. 'The Extra Mile' and 'Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You'. What I found out is, these couples are doing very well together. Something wrong with me?
@@janicetrimmell6897 Thanks, Janice! Was very helpful for me, playing and singing many of their songs by myself. To my surprise first thing I realised was, mostly more different chords and minors were needed than in so many well known songs of other groups. And to sing their songs, is a great pleasure but also a big challange. So I got deep and deeper into their catalog. Some of the couples, I listed up, doesn't really match perfect by first view, but listening to the lyrics in combination with the music is also an important aspect. So I found out, they've not only been huge musicians and singers. They also were poets!
Disco group is a ridiculous moniker. It's taken years and people like you to help them shed that so old and new fans can appreciate the depth of their talent and the many genres they crossed. They wrote over 1000 songs but they are often relegated to a dozen hits. A reminder Chad, speaking of spirits being with us, End of the Rainbow - Barry's song to Robin when he passed. It's a tearjerker, but so beautiful. Cheers, thanks for the post!
I agree a loved ones spirit does remain after they pass. Shot, when the dog in the picture passed I felt the spirits of all the pets I had in my life time including a parakeet surrounded me and helped me grieve. The dog in the picture also visited me, and still does occasionally and it has been 6 years since he passed. My current dog also gives me great comfort. By the way the dog in the picture is Sean. My name is something different.
Hi Chad! I recommend that you see, if you have not seen the documentary "How can you mend a broken heart" the history of the Bee Gees, it will take you from its beginnings until Barry is left alone without his brothers, it is very well documented. So you will know more about the lives of the brothers Gibb. Regards
To me, this is Mo’s masterpiece. I love this song. One of the great things about this song is the background effects. Starting at 7:27 if one listens, one can hear ghosts like vocals.
Thank you Chad. I have always loved the Bee Gees. Never saw them in concert but I was fortunate enough to see Andy Gibb on his first tour in Hartford, Connecticut.

@@DianaJG8 Mo was quite fetching from both sides!!! I'm happy to hear from you. I know sometimes the struggles snowball. That's your mother-in-law? Is she doing okay? I hope you feel like you are healing. Every year older I am, the harder it gets. A 70's jumpsuit was a REAL thing. Were you an Ohio Players girl too? Another guy friend (I would have chosen something much more) in college was nuts about them. "Fire" was his favorite song. Now HE would have made a jumpsuit work!!!! Perfectly feathered "Barry" hair, big green eyes and a sax player to boot. Wow that was a very very long time ago. Hang in there!!
🥀Amazing Song I love it!!! And yes I agree with you on the ones we've lost are with us. I have more film on orb's than I can count. Some say's it's because I'm mainly Cherokee Indian on both sides of my family. I don't ask for these things but I see people that has passed. True ghost busters came to my house they picked up film of tiny orb's and it scared them lol I've got some as big as baseball's. God Bless you all & believe in the here after. 🥀☝️🥀🕊
Another favorite track - with marvelous Mo doing lead vocals!💖
Great choice, thanks Chad!
To answer your question, I have experienced that feeling before
"When summer love is in the air, it feels like I'm walking on air"
I have to agree with you it is an AMAZING feeling 🎆
Watching these videos and their Live By Request show, they all seemed happier and as easy with each other as they had ever been and Maurice had put his drink problem long behind him. It makes it all the more tragic that he died so soon after this.
And died unnecessarily. Malpractice big time. 😞
Thank for such pleasures and surprises!!
I loved that album. They all seemed to be having more fun than ever. I love Maurice. So sad he died too soon.
Great song, Maurice had a great voice. He sang lead on some of the early years 1965 they put an album out which all brothers could be heard in leads. I love the Bee Gees!!! Greatest group ever. Love your playlist this weekend. Thanks Chad for all you do for us fans.
If they were alive they would still be making records
Barry went out on his own and has done a couple of albums. He is still so sad without his brothers.
Each Beegee has a different style but yet sound amazing together...They never thought of their selves as disco..DJs named them..it was unfair..
Just a quick note Chad, they have those figures wrong. If you remember the video reaction you for them doing the wall of death, the album "Size isn't Everything " they said was their 30th album. Which would mean this would be their 31st album.
I love this album too - and this is one of my favorites on it. Mo kicks ass!
Please do “Time Is Passing By” from 1960.
Thanks Chad!!!!!
bee gees i will be there
What a song.
Nothing wrong with you. You have a great knowledge of their catalog. Amazing how some songs from decades apart work together.
I agree, they were poets. They were so precise with lyrics. They didn't use extra words, just fit the idea they wanted to convey with the melody.
I had forgotten how brilliant this song was/is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mucho gracias......very Beach Boyish but totally excellent.
First for once!!😳🔥👍
On the chorus, when they come in with "Here comes the summer...." I hear a Beach Boys vibe in the harmonies.
Very Beach Boys, this should be a huge summer hit. Unfortunately not released as a single
So well said. Thank you!
Thank you Chad. I have always loved the Bee Gees. Never saw them in concert but I was fortunate enough to see Andy Gibb on his first tour in Hartford, Connecticut.
