I think as the 4 engine motor mounts wear down and that big engine begins to move around on you, the engine starts to suck air/dust under the throttle body boot. Replace the mounts with stiffer aftermarket mounts!
...and suddenly you made my day!° I am just back from a trip with my KQ750. I think my trouble will be also very expensive. Now I will study your words and go for it... Thx Dude, good job!
Hey man....don`t feel bad with you back motor man....At my cottage I have a Kawa mule that has hardly know compression ...as long as it start....away we go ...I`ve learned with time and rebuilding engine....you do all the gob or you don`t touch it.....I wish you good luck and HA>>>>>HA>>>>>just use the money your mak`in with you tube to pay for the motor job....I`ma pushing your way ....don`t get discourage .....I see now I use to be like you and at 67 I don`t take it apart no more.....they is not enough years left for it to be worth the work and the money....I SALUTE ya sir and respect the work and effort
Sorry for taking me so long to get back to you. Christmas = Busy...lol.. You have a machine shop up near you? Maybe ask Greg at Bills garage he may know some one. You might be better off putting a new sleeve in the jug.
Hi well done on the proper wording of parts and details. Would it be possible to send a copy of the service manual you use please. Also the phone number and address from were you got your boring of the cylinder and matching piston and rings. Thanks a lot great help
Here is a link to the company I used: www.millennium-tech.net/index.php?osCsid=03lluf0k6r45urs1nnd02a2134 If you send me a PM either on here or facebook I will send you a link for the service manual.
I have a playlist with multiple videos on this project. In the end, yes this resolved the noise I was hearing. I thought the clutch at first as well. Use some sort of hose like a 3' piece of garden hose, put one end to your ear and with the engine running put the other end of the hose on different parts of the engine. DIY stethoscope. This will pin point were the noise is coming from. Good luck!
Hi timmer77, I actually still have my KQ torn down. I'm currently still looking for a good place to send the cylinder to but I think I finally found one that seems to be good and closer to my location. It's surprising that your going though oil but it's not smoking yet. The oil must be going somewhere, your either leaking it or burning it.
Good job on showing the damage as well the walk through on what the parts are called. Yes thousands have done this job on the king quad as the early years 2005-2008 the air filter was junk. Many needed to do this job over the years. Twin Air or UNI over the stock filter will protect that top end. Happy Trails! Nyroc nyrocatv.com
Thank you for stopping by and the great comment! Before I tore the motor down I found your forum and posted a few questions in it. I got a lot of help in there. Thank you very much!
Your very welcome. FYI I put your video in the our top end link. www.nyrocatv.com/top-end-rebuild Between the info posted and your video posted it will really help many down the road. As well it should help with new subs on your channel. Best to you and your channel. Nyroc
Thank you very much Nyroc, I appreciate it! I actually have a 7 video playlist on this rebuild including which company I ended up using to do work on the cylinder and much more. The links are with in this video so people should be able to click on them and maybe find the help they need.
Can you update this motor to the new oil injector they use to help with the problem you have??? Can any of that damage be from not warming up before riding?
From the research I did this was caused from the stock air filter letting dust through. I simple aftermarket air filter swap and should be good to go. I don't know anything about an oil injector upgrade. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Magnetic Touchdown! I made a little series of videos on my top end rebuild. I hope the videos help you out! Cheers!

Lapping compound for matting the valves to the seats

That's a good idea to ask Greg. I'll stop by there and see what he says. Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas!
The labor guarantee 👍

Can you tell me if this corrected the noise? Mine is doing the same thing and I replaced the whole centrifugal clutch hoping for the easier job

I’m aware this is a very old video but how did you remove the timing chain to get the head off?
Remove the tensioner. This will give you enough slack in the chain to remove the cams.
How do you do a compression test when you have a compression release on your exhaust cam I would think you'd have to do a leak down test
2005 Suzuki 700 how in the world you get the timing chain I've been messing with it for hours
What do you mean get the timing chain?
They should be able to just renikisil the surface to stock bore.
You are right. Didn't take much for the machine shop to get it straightened out for me. Thanks for watching!
How did u take the head out 😊
How do you set the valves
Hey there...How did you make out with your top end job? Might be doing my 06 700 King quad soon....Its taking alot of oil but not smoking yet ..

Why would you just not get a new jug seems a lot easier
It would be easier but more expensive. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have a king quad 750 😂 wanna rebuild it for me
I'm just a DIYer. Not a professional at all. Thanks for the compliment though.
Signs of dirt entry into the engine ?
I do believe it was dirt getting past the old stock air filter. After rebuild I put a new Uni air filter in it.
Which engine is more durable suzuki or yamaha??
Both are very good in my opinion. I've always had good luck with yamaha dirt bikes and have had good luck with suzuki 4 wheelers.
what is that company your sending it out to i need to send my 700 jug out to get bored. thank you.
Here is a link to my video explaining were I sent it and how it turned out: th-cam.com/video/3Z52l86VJ44/w-d-xo.html
what was ur compression before u took it apart?
Great video thanks 🙏 and Do you have the link to the manual? Thank you
I don't have a link but it use to be downloadable off the internet. Just search service manual for your king quad. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Can you resleeve it?
I'm not sure if that could of been done or not.
Lapping compound.
