This makes it really hard for people with disabilities to get jobs. So by lowering the minimum wage for just disabled people, this makes it easier for them to get a job, and they can still work towards a raise. I know it sounds REALLY shitty at first glance. But a lower income is better than no income (ignoring government benefits).

All had strict earning limits and all are legally entitled to a day program. As a guy who should, by traditional and stereotypically biased gender standards, love the hair growing anywhere beyond just the top of my head or on my face, I actually don't. I currently tutor a kid in piano with ASD and he's slow to get things at times, but he has got to be the most empathetic person I know. Like if I'm having a bad day, or I'm getting irritated, he'll give a hug and it's honestly one of the most wholesome things ever.

There are also certain careers where experience is practically necessary. What college is supposed to do is provide you the information you need without the bs and provide you a safe environment in which you can gain said experience. So the question isn't "Why pay for something we can get for free?" It's "Is what I would pay for college worth the work I would have to do otherwise?" And depending on the field you go into, the answer to that question is occasionally no, but is more often than not yes. Unless you're going to be a surgeon. Or any other profession in which you can inadvertently kill people. In those cases the answer is always yes, go to college. The experience you get can (and probably will) save lives, and any lack of knowledge can end them.

Funny thing is that surgeons actually do watch tutorials on youtube about surgery before they do it. Most of the time just as a refresher because they can’t perfectly remember how to do every surgery.

While you can technically learn anything online, you also have to recognize that there's a lot of ignorant bs that you'll have to sift through. There are also certain careers where experience is practically necessary. What college is supposed to do is provide you the information you need without the bs and provide you a safe environment in which you can gain said experience. So the question isn't "Why pay for something we can get for free?" It's "Is what I would pay for college worth the work I would have to do otherwise?" And depending on the field you go into, the answer to that question is occasionally no, but is more often than not yes. Unless you're going to be a surgeon. Or any other profession in which you can inadvertently kill people. In those cases the answer is always yes, go to college. The experience you get can (and probably will) save lives, and any lack of knowledge can end them.

On that same topic, most of the time I learn more from youtube than my uni, most of my teachers there when asked questions were like "idk go ask one of your fellow students", or "idk shit about this in depth thing, I just know what I am teaching you, because this is just a side gig, my main job here is research not teaching kids." Some teachers even used quite an interesting teaching method, whereby they ask a multiple choice question, then via voting we answer, and if 70% gets it, it's fine, and we move on to the next thing.

There are tons of informational resources online, but you just need to be discerning about what you are studying. Facebook is not a scientific database any more than the inquirer is a text book. I learned a good amount of quantum mechanics and special relativity from TH-cam videos and Wikipedia articles. Gullible people will be fooled no matter where they get their information from.

I think he misinterpreted the "let's just be friends" situation after a proposal denied, to "let's be friends".
