@@jannie6605 oh great, now there's one of YOU spamming the replies...
2:45 Not to mention the pride flag doesn't abide by national flag rules. The confederate flag however is flown by a group of people that tried to identify it as the symbol of a sovereign nation making it subject to flag etiquette at which point flying a larger or higher flag than any other national flags on display will be interpreted as a sign of disrespect at very least, but as such could also be read as an act of war.
I applaud OP. Thank you!
Which is probably why confederate flags are not as common in the central US as you think. (Or rather have been lead to believe.)

@@tuluppampam then what's white in Italian?
@@MunchaBuncha Looks like it's bianco/bianca. I'm pretty sure that most of the Romance languages (which English is definitely not a part of) use something near "blanca."
Negro is also the general Romance word for "black" (not necessarily Black, like people) in with different tweaks to it. How English speakers even found the word negro to incorporate into a slur is actually kind of bizarre, considering it's just not part of the language. I'm guessing they heard a Portuguese sailor call them that once and only took the word as it applied to the skin color of the people that were being sold, rather than focusing on the color that the skin supposedly was

Except that professor has an entirely valid point. Sure he could have been more tactful about it, but I guarantee along with the already busy schedule you have to work as a college professor, he gets hundreds of emails in a week from students, colleagues and staff. In almost all college courses literally everything you will do, down to the day you do it, is listed in the syllabus. So if you were a professor who has hundreds of backed up emails to go through, and you see one where a student fails to identify themselves, fails to look at the material you've already provided them, and tells you that your class isn't important, you'd probably be a bit upset.

I never understood why people think gender is completely a binary thing (I never understood why I thought that it was, as well), I've been watching biologist TH-camrs; people with actual degrees in biology not the fakes, the type of people who debunk unscientific rhetoric while also citing trusted scientific information and explaining examples in a way for the layman to understand.
And with that, they talked about how gender actually works and it's interesting how many DNA codes are involved to make someone be a male and within that biological process something can change in many different ways such as giving someone male genitalia yet still have neurological brain structures associated with the female gender; not just that but it comes in a sequence for humans particularly, it's hard to explain because I'm not a scientist but how I understand it.
Parts if genetic code to determine gender at birth are used to stop another piece of genetic code so that other piece to make someone male instead of female, it's a longer process than people realize; if something in-between has some sort of change that can result in someone having male reproductive organs while having the brain of a woman, the brain being designed to take in estrogen and not testosterone which can result in pretty much no puberty; same with woman, something happens in the gnomes that cause a woman to have a male brain structure instead, causing someone to basically never have a period even during puberty.
I don't know at all how to explain this I would have to look into it further but the societal idea of gender is greatly misunderstood.
You do realise those are rare deformities? As in something has gone wrong. You dont describe humans in general as having 2+ arms do you? It can happen, but only if something goes awry developmentally.
So yes. It is binary. But some people are unfortunate to have been born with certain bits mixed up.
It would be nice if we could develop our medical understanding and technology to help fix those deformities so they can live a normal healthy life.
