I'm from London (living in TX). Girl the bus will take you anywhere you want to go. Don't waste money on uber. Get a bus pass or combo (oyster pass). I'm excited to follow your vlog! Now I need to go see WHY you moved to London!
@@catherineuwagboe2864 It depends. I'm only a student so I haven't experience the working life yet but my Mum says it's difficult and says things back home (in Nigeria) were easier. I think compared to the USA there are fewer opportunities but there isn't much racism over (well openly). Idk if this is the type of answer you're looking for.
I dont know anything about you or your channel because this video just popped up in my feed out of nowhere. But the title caught my attention so I just wanted to drop by and congratulate you on making such a huge move. I moved to Dubai from Texas for a few years and have no regrets. I think every young person should live abroad before settling down, if possible, because you will grow and learn so much. Anyway good luck!
I live in Greenwich you should get the bus instead of uber it is cheaper, if you have a contactless credit card you can use it on the buses in London cause the buses don't take cash, and plus it would of been quicker for you to go into Lewisham to Argos, buses 199 and 180 will take you there
Congrats on going back to school and moving to the UK. Such a courageous move. I look forward to the vlogs from abroad during this chapter of your life 😊
It’s so mad seeing areas you go through all the time in someone else’s eyes! You’re so close to areas like Peckham, Deptford and Brixton aka the plug. A lot of culture, African/ Caribbean markets, food and hair shops I would definitely check them out.
I can’t even tell you how much relief and encouragement your videos have given me with my visa process that’ll start in June and my soon to be move. I’m nervous and excited. You’ve been a HUGE guide. I can’t thank you enough with sharing
Well let's start off by saying TH-cam is doing there job for you because u were a video on my home page but I have never watched a video of yours. Anywho I found the title intriguing and started watching. I'm glad I did because I want to follow your journey. I think it's great that u followed your own mind and dreams. So many of us look for reasons to say no to our dreams. Your parents were sad and stop walking around London like u from there but I get it. You learn a lot that way! New subbie
Aww this reminds me so much of when I first moved to the Uk. The first two years or so was such a learning curve. I’ve been here now like 6 years and I love it. I could never move anywhere else now. You will get there!!
wilko's are pretty great for basics such as toilet paper and toothpaste!!! and it's super cheap, but still branded!! so excited to come on this journey with you, welcome to the UK x
Welcome to London. I’m also and expat and happy to connect because the hardest part is being away from all you know and having a laugh with someone that gets it. All the best!!!! It will be great
I’m an American as well and London has been my dream since I could remember. I’m also about to be a senior in High school. The thought of moving to the UK for college is now has me considered it. Nice video !!
I travel to London allll the time my boyfriends family is there . I love it ! Enjoy your time there . It’s beautiful to see someone chasing their dreams 💓
Like others, your vid popped up on my feed, so I watched because I liked the title. Keep the videos coming and show more of London (public transportation, restaurants, parks, nightlife etc.) Even though I have been to London before, it can be a little over whelming in the beginning. The reason people will watch your channel is because it can be fun to travel vicariously thru others. Just remember to keep it interesting. Congrats!!
I almost went to Greenwich university as well, but ended up choosing somewhere else. My university had a package of duvet, pillow, bedding and towels that you could buy as an international student. It sat there waiting for me in my room when I arrived at 6pm. So easy.
you're so incredibly brave & strong for this! i moved from montana to los angeles & have lived here for the past 4 years, london's my next goal but it seems like *so* much work... good for you, girl! please keep these updates coming 💖
So exciting!! I travelled to London and Paris for the first time two years ago and would love to live there. Good for you! I live in NYC now but hope to live abroad one day. You are so brave and inspiring! ❤
Hey girl, firstly i hope you enjoy your stay in London and England generally! a little tip is do not get the uber unless you really need to. buses run constantly and are much more affordable so are trains it's best to get the oyster card (you could get the student one which will give you discounts on your travels too). Also eating out in London could be extremely expensive and therefore many people prefer to cook at home.
congrats on the move!! uni halls will be some of the best time of your life! savers is a great store to go for discounted toiletries - also the bus is a life saver - you can use a contactless card or oyster card (im sure you know that by now!) - the whole dryer thing sounds bad but its not too bad. in my halls we had 10 washer/dryers to share between like 500+ people and if you time it right you literally never have to wait any loner than 5 mins

I am moving to London about April this year. I was married In California to a wonderful Brit living there his whole life. We had to finish up some life in the states and dealing with Spousal visa now.💕 I'm enjoying watching your new adventures and as I've visited there with the knowledge I will be living there soon I can understand many of your perspectives. God Bless you and who knows? Maybe run into each other oneday. Keep faith in the plans God has lead you in. Oh and you talked of shipping. I'm trying to figure that out at present. 😥😊
Your channel stumbled into my TH-cam feed today, it was the why I'm not dating in a London video, and now I'm over here!! I have daydreamed about it for years, but I've always ended up chickening out for one reason or another.
A few years ago I moved from London to Brazil with my family and don’t get me wrong, I lOve it here! But recently we’ve been watching a lot of home videos from when we lived in England and I’ve been missing it like crazy...I hope you make the most of your time there, it’s one of the most interesting, diverse, beautiful places in the world, good luck!
I definitely recommend just getting a regular old power cube for your phone, rather than a new adapter (the one that you just stick your usb into and then plug into the wall). When I moved to Scotland I bought one for like £4, it's not recommended to use travel adapters long term!
Gatwick is twice as far away as Heathrow from Central London and the quickest way is on the Gatwick Express train to Victoria station which only takes 20 minutes.
this is literally my dream right here. i want to go to college in london and live there after i graduate. i’m so excited!!💕 love the video as well! i loooovvveee your hair!

Thank God it’s not raining, which is a common occurrence in London, and you’re walking....I have a gut feeling you’ll be alright once you get settled in, tho. Be safe!❤️
Greenwich is a pretty place in the summer. It does always have its rough sides though the further you go down & drama from people, that’s a South London thing. My parents still up there, I just finished Uni and moved to Marylebone. Hope you’re liking it fr fr 💪🏾💪🏾
Your video popped up randomly and the title intrigued me. I'm subbing. Go on girl and live your best, biggest, brightest and fullest life. Good luck on such an exciting new journey. I'm loking forward to watching your adventures in England. God, I wish I was 26 again. I would have made such different choices.!
oh wow! so excited and happy for you! this helped me out A LOT! I've NEVER been in a dorm (got to live at home during undergrad) so I figure Leeds and London are similar enough where I'll be needing to do a lot of what you did *when* I get there in September! xo
As I know where you're located. Aldi is great (opposite to Primark) for reed diffusers much much better than Primark. A 2 minute walk from the Primark is the Sainsbury superstore and you already been to ASDA. B&M is good for little homeware. Don't be too annoyed about what happened, they normal just get locals they know by name so probably just didn't what to get in trouble so were super cautious x Oh and Ikea opens near you/us on Feb 7 💃🏾💃🏾
I’m so happy I found your channel! I just got accepted into Ravensbourne Uni, and this vlog just got me even more excited to move to London this summer 😍 🇬🇧
Found this searching London for an upcoming trip! Never saw your videos before but I'm excited for you and wish you well. Looking forward to any interesting spots you find that I can check out in the spring. Subscribed.
You have lovely parents
thanks! 😊

@Lee Soo-man no it's not, what's your problem?
Lee Soo-man so free healthcare , gun control etc makes the UK a dump?
@@31l1ay not really free, and there's shit loads of crime...but I agree, it's not really a dump
Jon Johnson how not really free? And I guess my gun control I also mean no mass murders

Greenwich is a pretty place in the summer. It does always have its rough sides though the further you go down & drama from people, that’s a South London thing. My parents still up there, I just finished Uni and moved to Marylebone. Hope you’re liking it fr fr 💪🏾💪🏾
This is An Absolutely Brand New Place!! You've Got it:)
I was just wondering how you were doing!!! I’m so excited for you! ❤️
yayyy thank you! 😊
Your video popped up randomly and the title intrigued me. I'm subbing. Go on girl and live your best, biggest, brightest and fullest life. Good luck on such an exciting new journey. I'm loking forward to watching your adventures in England. God, I wish I was 26 again. I would have made such different choices.!
thank you SO much!! 😊
@@PaigeMariah , you're welcome and BE GREAT!
I’m from the UK and I’ve never even been asked to sign for anything! Let alone ask for a passport afterwards!! That’s crazy!!
oh wow! so excited and happy for you! this helped me out A LOT! I've NEVER been in a dorm (got to live at home during undergrad) so I figure Leeds and London are similar enough where I'll be needing to do a lot of what you did *when* I get there in September! xo
I've always wanted to move to london, but have always been to afraid. Hopefully I can move there one day too
you can do it!
As I know where you're located. Aldi is great (opposite to Primark) for reed diffusers much much better than Primark. A 2 minute walk from the Primark is the Sainsbury superstore and you already been to ASDA.
B&M is good for little homeware. Don't be too annoyed about what happened, they normal just get locals they know by name so probably just didn't what to get in trouble so were super cautious x
Oh and Ikea opens near you/us on Feb 7 💃🏾💃🏾
Binge-watching your videos! I plan on moving to London to study. Your videos certainly motivate me! Also, you are gorgeous! 💛
love how youre so grateful
I’m so happy I found your channel! I just got accepted into Ravensbourne Uni, and this vlog just got me even more excited to move to London this summer 😍 🇬🇧
Found this searching London for an upcoming trip! Never saw your videos before but I'm excited for you and wish you well. Looking forward to any interesting spots you find that I can check out in the spring. Subscribed.
