I have this piece for my grade7 exam. You played it beautifully 😀 really made me like this piece
Thank you! I really like playing this one, it’s a super choice for an exam. Good luck with yours!
Super helpful! Thank you so soooo much!❤️🎹
doing this, melodie and soho for my grade 7 i really love the way you play!!
Fabulous performance. I just wish you could show us how you bring out the melody so beautifully in the chords. Thank you very much for the lovely recording
Thank you for your comment! Bringing out the melody is a mixture of having the weight in the right place in your hand, careful listening as you play and lots of hard work! You have to be patient but the results will be worth the effort :-)
@@jillmortonpianist thank you Jill
I am doing the ABRSM Grade 7 Performance Exam, which means that I have to pick a fourth song. I had a listen to some of the Trinity songs as I can rest assured that these are definitely Grade 7 level. I heard you play this song and fell in love with it. I’ve been playing it for quite a few weeks now and I’m enjoying it so much. Thank you for introducing me to this song!
It's a super piece, I love this one too! Actually, all grade 7 Trinity pieces are worth learning, it's a super set. Good luck with your exam!
@@jillmortonpianist thank you! :)
I decided to take Trinity Grade 7 purely on the basis of hearing you play this piece. I love it and listen to various bits when I get a bit stuck!
It's such a fun piece, I love it too! Good luck with your exam!
Love it! 💯
Thanks! It's a great piece to play!
Just starting to learn this having heard you play it when looking for another piece.
I’m only grade 5 now, so this song will be gone because of the new set when I get there ☹️☹️☹️ I love this song so much and really wanted to learn it
It's a super piece. Don't forget, you can still learn the piece even if it's not on a syllabus list! It's definitely worth spending the time learning this one, it's one of my favourites from this list!
I'm learning it now
Yeah me too so i learned it and it sounds so nice
Perfect performance!! I will take my TCL grade 7 in 2022. Your video is very nice for me to familiarize the pieces! Keep it up!
Glad it was helpful!
Such grace and passion.
Amazing 👏
Wow!! What an amazing interpretation and beautifully communicated.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love listening to you playing all the Grade 7 pieces and only wish I could play more like you. Re use of pedal in this - can you explain a bit more where it’s best used ? I find the sound just goes mushy which doesn’t suit the jazzy sound so obv not doing it right/at the right places !
jazzy
How do you glissando in bar 32? As in which technique?
Literally just drag ur finger down the keyboard, it’s in C after all!
Probably a bit late but use the nail of your thumb and drag it down
What's they key for this piece?
C major
Have u used pedal?
Yes, you need to use carefully it throughout, except for the 'tap dancing' bit in the middle!
Sounds like the toy story theme
does this song fall under the category of jazz?
No it's not jazz but it is written in a jazz idiom. It's a super piece!
thank you!
