The Soma Laboratories Lyra 8 is one of my favorite synths. You can't really describe it and listening to it doesn't allow you to know what kind of an instrument it is.
I know this sounds "new age" but the Lyra 8 is a synth that you feel like you're connecting to when you are playing it. It's truly wonderful.

I am considering getting one of these soon. LOVE the tones.. and enjoyed the choice of video selection to accompany visually. Very inspiring, has manifested ideas for future project concepts.

That's great. Looking forward to more of this. I've been producing some dark ambient using virtual synth but am wanting to buy the Soma Lyra 8. This has made me even more eager to get one!

@@jbowmanmusic Oh, I love the Stargazer. It's not exactly as playable as the Lyra since it's a drone machine. But it's got a TON of possible soundscapes. I ended up selling mine because I'm going to build my own version and then share how to build it on youtube. stay tuned and you'll be able to make your own!

I really enjoy that kind of meditative side of the Lyra, where even the lowest, minimal movements introduce more than enough changes in the sound ...
