    Very atmospheric stuff. Great job especially considering it's your first time playing with it!

    Ha ha! The music is so otherworldly and awesome. For your first encounter with the Lyra your playing shows such an intuitive sense for it and for sound in general. I was thinking you as something more than human!

    Valhalla Room has for long been my my go-to reverb for anything electronic, and anything acoustic that just needs a bit of stereo widening. To make something sound like it is in a natural acoustic space, for voice and woodwinds and such, I usually end up using Native Instruments RC48.
    I've tried many other reverbs, but I always go back to Valhalla Room and RC48.
    Anyway, nice video and great sound. When I first heard of the Lyra, experimental music wasn't my thing at all. Now that it is, I find it rather tempting, but at the moment I am also exploring using recorded sound sources for textures, drones and ambiences, and that holds a lot of potential too.
    Very often it is the feeling of being in the moment that defines this kind of music for me, and sometimes when you listen to it, it transports you back into that sense of spontaneous, chaotic, impulsive, intuitive creation, and it feels so relaxing to listen to.

    I'm seriously tempted to sell some gear to be able to buy one of these. Can you sync them in any way? I want to somehow add a beat but can't figure out if it's possible to get my Elektron Digitakt and a Lyra-8 to place nicely together.

    • @liamsparling
      @liamsparling 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      well you could play the elektron into the lyra but lyra doesnt have midi but it does have CV so you could use the ext IN or out of digi into the CV of the lyra, either way you could also manually use the lyra and get more of an organic feel of ot with the digi just sequencing on its own

      Liam Sparling thank you. Nobody else so far has been able to explain that to me. I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s probably no need to sync the Lyra to anything at all. Because the sounds are so ‘free’ a beat either will or won’t work with it. It’s going to lead to some fun times on stage!

    Very nice. What are the settings on the Valhalla reverb for this?

    • @rudetee
      @rudetee  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the Valhalla Room plugin with the preset "Gothic Cathedral". 12.5 sec

    Very nice and trippy! Did you replace some of the knobs? Are those standard push on 6mm knurled knobs? My Lyra-8 arrives in a few days... Might be doing some knob mods as well! :)

    • @rudetee
      @rudetee  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! This is an all original Lyra-8 no mods.
