Thank you Mathew for your book, I listened to the audiobook during covid lockdown here in Ireland and it was a real game changer for me. It inspired me to reframe my thinking and then set me off on a mission, a mission to come out the other side of the pandemic a better person. I decided to try and focus my energy on something positive and so I wrote a story for my nephews and nieces, about a giant from Ireland who loses his harp during a storm but goes on an adventure to find it with his friend, a little girl named Cara. Fast forward 12 months and it’s almost ready for print as a fully illustrated children’s book. It’s called ‘Cara & The Giant’. I would love to send you a copy if at all possible? As a token of my appreciation for your book and the impact that it had on me during one of the most difficult periods in my life.

And having the questions on the journal it kinda prompts a person to do some introspection, maybe helps anchor that habit. Definitely a cool concept, rather than a totally blank journal.

Sometimes you’ve got to write it out over and over again, what you want or what you think can come your way. The more you write it the more you believe it. Fake it till you make it. Or “walk now as though you do, and though you don’t, you will.”
I work for a mental health organisation for youth and journal routinely. I have a friend who is currently suffering from depression, and although I encourage him to journal and show him how it can be intimidating if you've never done it before. I bought your journal for him, because he's listened to your audiobook he values your opinion and is happy to put it to use. He's gratefully journaling his way to a healthy headspace. I feel like it's helping me more than the 10 other journals my therapist had me write. Don't get me wrong they help, I can blow off steam and put my fears (I have PTSD) from a life altering car accident in these journals but they don't make me think deep into my soul like your little prompts. I loved your book, I always considered you not to be "above" us because you are an actor. Your book just solidified it. THANK YOU ❤️. PS. You loved being in my city, when you filmed White Boy Rick.
