Hi Steve, absolutely brilliant mate, and I wouldn’t worry about the drama on the 2nd night, a trip this long will always have drama, it’s character building! 🤣 The dehydrated meals are fantastic, my favourite is the summit to eat Salmon and broccoli pasta, it’s amazing. Keep it going mate, you’re smashing it so far. 😀👍⛰🥾🏕️🏴
Hello Dave bit late with this reply, Adventures are very unpredictable and can throw up all sorts. Keeping a positive attitude and mindset are key. There will always be a downside to it as you say its how we deal with that that counts. Glad you like the videos and more out soon, just been busy editing lots of footage but getting there. It really is a great trip and seeing parts of Scotland i have never been top. Will have to look in to that Summit to eat Salmon meal 👌 Cheers Steve 👍
Enjoying the videos Steve. That thunder storm on your second day was quite epic. I was up on Bealach Bhernais on my TGOC as it started and managed to get out of the worst of it. It's heavy afternoon rain that's the reason I opt for a fly first pitch tent for TGO's, I can just throw it up and dive underneath until the worst has past. Most things stay dry then.
Hi John That Thunderstorm was pretty wild and made a few of us pretty miserable that night and probably want to jack it in haha. You made a great choice of tent pitch. I love the MSR i have but the down side it its inside first. It would be so much better if it was fly first. You can never win with tents haha. Steve 👍
Nice one Steve, I've got Ur past couple of days to look forward to catching up with & watching... Really enjoyed this & the last trip that I watched was when U were out with Ur daughter, which was really lovely to see U out together in such an amazing location... I love camping in the rain, if it's not too windy & cold, but it's no fun if ya get soggy...! Best wishes & look forward to following the rest of Ur adventure...👍👊
Hi Kev thanks for the comment , Glad you like the videos and hope you get some ideas from them. I think most times i am pretty lucky with locations and more good timing with the weather. Its a good feeling when you are in a tent and its pouring down makes you just want to get into your sleeping bag and keep warm. Been soaked many times and it can be a hard place to get out of mentally if you feel miserable and cold. I have a few more videos of the TGO Challenge to get out one scheduled for the 21st at 5pm i think. Thanks again for the kind words Steve 👍
Ahh plenty time to get out and about. Midge season now so not sure how the repellant would react with sunburn but sounds like it would be sore. More videos out soon. Steve 👍
