A good idea with a tail attachment, as well as a fly. Such eyes do not last long in a fly. I started using flat or no eyes at all. I have not noticed that the pike reacts worse to "blind" streamers.
I also like that you don't use a huge amount of flush. Our rivers and lakes have a very strong fishing pressure. Pikes are cautious here. We fish with fluorocarbon or HardMono, otherwise you might not catch anything.
I would like to know what materials do you use for other pike flies with a minimum of flash?
