- With the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War (La Guerra de Las Malvinas) we tackle the NEW 1/72 Avro Vulcan from Airfix and finish it as one of the most famous Vulcans... XM607.

Just a little bit of info regarding the pylons, although the pylons themselves were basically “knocked together” out of mild steel girders by RAF personnel they were mounted to the original mounting points on the Vulcan B.2’s that were designed for the Skybolt missiles, these mounting points were only found on the 61st production Vulcan onwards.

If you ever get to Omaha, there is a Vulcan in the collection at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum near Ashland, NE. They also have a B17, B1, B29, and B36, among many other SAC related aircraft.
Airfix and Revell both seem to drop the ball on a regular Basis !!!

I'd love to see a full in depth video of how to build the ECM pod pylon. The ECM pod is available in resin on the aftermarket, but still no pylons, so it would be much appreciated

If you think this one was a bit tricky to put together in places, you should have a go at the old tool one! Joking aside. most TH-camrs who've built it have praised he engineering of this one. I'm looking forward to building mine.

I've just built this kit and really enjoyed it, but I had some real trouble attaching the front fuselage to the wings. Much filling and sanding hasn't really concealed the joint. I notice that you don't bother putting all the stencils on too.
