Another must have :Magnetic pick up tools a must have the small and larger size ones for when you drop a nut bolt wrench etc down the gaps of engine compartment
Great setup! Simple and straight to the point. You are the first small setup mobile tech who I saw carry a generator, air compressor, and a welder. My favorite ratchet was a Mac 3/8 flexhead with the hard red handle. Wish Mac still made them with that handle!
I don’t know how mobile guys do it without at least a compressor and generator. I’ve seen guys carry inverters, but generator is way better. Plus it fits fine in the truck. Thanks for watching.
Jeremy Keith Hey, so do I that’s why I d ex used to make one. Thanks, yes it’s been so hot, I’m out in Santee/La Mesa area so we feel the heat a bit more.
Those are nice, I like the Mac flex heads with the button it has to lock in place. It’s flush with the ratchet so it doesn’t get in the way like the Snap-On.
I do mobile repairs too dude. I have certain days at my garage, other days I travel but I work on commercial equiptment and fleet vehicles for industrial Laundry factories and I do boat motors time to time . I like the set up, nothing fancy but its everything you need .
Nothing Fancy! All this Snap-On, Matco, and Cornwell stuff sure is fancy priced. Lol. The biggest jobs I do are head gaskets timing chains/ belts and transmissions/ clutches. If I can do them comfortably and without doing half ass work, I’m cool with the tools I have. All my specialty ones are mostly in my home garage along with other sets I have, but yeah I get by pretty good with my setup. So far.
Great set up im trying to get a little organized myself... just a tip here but take your batteries out of the tool when you put them up in a mobile rig... I learned the hard way by having a grinder cut a hole in one of my boxes on the highway.
Muchas Gracias. Te invito a que mires mi otro video. Ya conseguí troke mas grande y mas equipo. Muy pronto haré otro, ya que sigue creciendo mi negocio.
Greeting from Oceanside, I have the same 3 box setup for work, it took me about two yrs to set it up to be the most efficient. I had to get creative with the limited space. I do general maintenance everything from tree work to plumbing, fencing and landscaping
Hey bro, gearwhrench bolt biters! Dude used them 3 times and they worded awesome ! I got the 90 dollar set so have mostly what a diy guy like myself would need! Cool truck tour
I watched project farm truck do a video on stripped bolt sockets, and those performed poorly. I really like my snap on spiral sockets. Worked well for me.
Nice setup mine will be sort of similar to this I don’t do primarily mobile mechanic work but I have a Landscaping/Construction company and I have a need for multiple tools when out on the job site or in case of any repairs I need to make to equipment while away from home and the the 1 tool box I have now in my truck isn’t enough room so I will be buying two side tool boxes to go along with the the one I currently have now at the front, until I get enough income to get a utility body like you have now.
Nice video! I really like the set up! Have you ever worked out of a van? I’ve been working out of a van for about 10 years now. This seems like an easier way to organize and access tools.
A Sid Not much of a Van guy myself, plus I got my compressor which I use a lot and generator, which throw a lot of exhaust fumes. I’m saving up to buy a truck with a utility box. I find them more practical.
Mac axis is probably my favorite ratchet but I’m also a big fan of my stahlwille 3/8 locking flex head ratchet. As for pliers I agree snap on are my favorite only bad thing is here in the mid west they are prone to rust.
I have a milwaukee packout box, been really wanting to get a bed toolbox, i just dont want to have to remove my tonneu cover as i like my belongings covered. Might have to go that route though. Love the setup you have
I just recently went from being mobile in a box truck that was awesome with a big back door woth a lift and woth a easy access side door cabover to a shop if you would ever be interested it a available option for sale!!!
An impressive setup of about everything you would run into "out there". You didn't mention what scanner you use. Also, do you subscribe to Alldata or Identafix?
I did, the scanner is a Zurich Zr-Pro. Yes, I am subscribed to identifix. Thanks for checking my video out, if you haven’t I welcome you to subscribe. Thank you.
@ICS Ivan Do you use repair software like Prodemand or Identifix? I am currently a GM tech but thinking about going mobile. What do you do when it is raining or storming outside? Living in Louisiana we get most of our rain/ storms in the afternoon majority of the time.
I use identifix, but it’s pricy for a dingle tech. Also keep great relationships with your past employers or co workers. Anytime I need diagrams, specs or any info I call my buddy/ old coworker and they have Mitchell and identifix. As for the weather, I live in San Diego, Ca, we get minimal rain. I do keep a 10ft waterproof umbrella though, helps with the rain and hot sun. I also see some techs that have canopies, but too much in my opinion.
CW Mobile Repair llc They’re not, I checked the part number as soon as I heard about the recall. I still did get some new 3 ton from Ac delco, just to play it safe.
Morgan Hatfield How did you mount them, the mechanic time savers socket holder I have is magnetic and holds them in place great. The only one I have issues with sometimes is my wrench holder. But the wrenches are heavy, and it’s only the bigger ones that fall at times.
It’s okay, for that price it’s one of the best ones I’ve found. Almost as good as my autel. I believe I paid $900.00 out the door, and i only did it because I found a coupon or else I wouldn’t have.

My go to pliers are snap on high leverage pliers
Those are some good pliers.
Make sure you take those jackstands to Harbor freight and get them swapped out they are known to fail if they are the ones I think they are

Klein slip joint pliers, 42 years and counting!
Nice! I Didn’t know Klein made slip joint pliers.
I know it's not tool truck quality but I love my carlye ratchets.
Nick Persenaire They’re pretty good ratchets, I honestly think there the same as Snap On they are extremely similar.
Where did you get that wrench rack that has your snap on wrenches @7:28
It’s from mechanics time saver, either on Amazon or eBay.
Tools might be more expensive then truck
Depends what people are willing to pay for either or used.

Mac 90 tooth ratchet
Somebody else mentioned that, so I went out and bought a 3/8 locking flex head, 90 tooth Mac ratchet. It’s now my favorite.
Would a van be a nice set up. Seems pickups are costly. No room. And boxes are costly too.
