    As a Moroccan, my little sister is 14 years old. She speaks Japanese professionally. Since her childhood, she has been watching anime and has been influenced by Japanese culture a lot. Hey George!👋
    Glad to see you in chillin' Morocco! 🇲🇦🇯🇵
    As a Moroccan, I would say I love:
    1. The family sense: Unlike Europe and other advanced countries, family members support each other a lot and family gathers too,. We're totally family-oriented/driven.
    2. Impressive architecture: either talking about modern or traditional ones, Morocco has always been number one in taking your Instagram pics or TH-cam vlogs; from Riadh, and traditional old gates to modern airports, and new stuff...
    3. People: Mostly friendly, speaking multiple languages (it's normal to find people speaking 3-5 languages, I by myself speak 4), trying their best to welcome tourists to make them feel they're home and very welcomed.
    Of course, there are a lot be said but let's hop into what I don't like much:
    1. People, again: yes, but only few of them... They're desperate to sell objects/services to tourists, they REALLY insist, and sometimes they manipulate the process to get a HUGE profit. It's their business to buy and sell but, not to make someone feel forced..
    2. French: Exactly! This language should be removed and not stay as our second language as we're getting more independent and English is absolutely the diamond.
    3. Some politics: As every country, we live with some corrupted heads, WE LOVE OUR KING, but not the government much, I said some heads but not all of them. I hope we fixing this soon and fight the immigration problem (either poor or well-educated ppl)

    Most of these people couldn't really describe their ideas about what they don't like about Morocco, so I'm here to speak for them, they all said they love the culture, weather, lifestyle and people, there's no discrimination or racism, everyone lives in harmony and everyone is very helpful, but what they don't like is the collision of generations and cultures, for example youngsters are always following the new trends but elders usually dislike that, also some politicians are a bit lazy, other than these two things we love in peace ❤

    • @6rawler6a6y
      @6rawler6a6y ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@joaojoao6423 think of it as things that youngsters would do but elders won't, for example the usage of electronics, you wouldn't find an old man dancing on TikTok hahahaha it's mostly younger people, also the way they behave or do stuff, you'll always find that older generations judge younger ones alot and they can never agree on the way of doing things, elders tend to follow the traditional hard ways while youngsters lean towards modernity more (we still preserve our old heritage despite that tho), or also the way of dressing...and many more things that these two can never agree on hahahahaha, we sort of care for our reputation in the streets that's why there's always problems and our parents would always say things like "what would people say about us if they see you do this ?" Or "you're bringing shame on our/your family by doing this"...
      You'd find this in most contries but in Morocco it's more common, but if you're a foreigner you don't need to worry about none of that hahahahaha

    • @joaojoao6423
      @joaojoao6423 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@6rawler6a6y ohhh, i think I understand what you mean! I believe that clash between generations happens in every country with different intensities :) ! I guess a part of being old is judging the younger ones haha!
      Im also curious: you said in your initial comment there's no discrimination in Morocco. Does that mean gay people would be welcome there? Me and my husband for example

    • @6rawler6a6y
      @6rawler6a6y ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@joaojoao6423 well actually i meant racism towards darker skin people or different religions, but as i said, you as foreigners don't have to worry about anything that have been said because these are our social issues and we welcome everyone so yes you're welcome, however, you should understand that you're visiting a muslim country and should respect the culture while you're outside, even women & men couples holding hands or hugging in the street isn't a very commun thing here (depending on where you are) , it's in our religion that intimacy should be private, except for that you'd be completely good.
      I think I've seen a gay youtubers couple visiting Morocco and they didint face any problems but truth be said they were respectful hahaha, i know it might be against your personal beleives to be respectful but it is our culture.

    I loved the last guy to comment who talked about politics. It seemed to make a lot of sense.
    I think my list would be similar to George's, only changing one point, and apparently, a lot of Moroccans complained too.
    1) I loved the architecture, as I've mentioned more than once.
    2) Followed by the weather, this coming from a woman from São Paulo who can't stand the rain since November here anymore hahaha.
    3) the delight of seeing so many people speaking Japanese, it was completely unexpected.
    4) the opportunities that the desert offers, which is something unimaginable when you think of a desert region, and the camel ride, the fire show, and the dinner were the best part of the videos in the region for me.
    5) the food and the relationship that Moroccans have with it, enjoying everything, parts that I honestly don't know if I would have the courage to try, I think it's very beautiful on their part, it shows respect for animals.

    • @lost9050
      @lost9050 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now what I didn't like:
      I'm not even a nationalist, but I'll defend Brazil on this one: from the videos, which is a very small spectrum, the Brazilian people seemed more friendly and respectful. With the exception of a few people who participated, like the gentleman who called for the camel barbecue with his mother, and the hotel manager that was at the same level of Gaba's cameraman, people seemed very open and friendly but a little invasive, I was always left with a feeling of risk and tension (and was something that people complained about as well), I don't know if I would like that.
      The second factor was the urban chaos, with narrow streets and motorcycles going by like there's no tomorrow, I would be scared and here in the favela it is like that in a certain part. And the third religion has a beautiful material influence, but it also generates bad factors, which I believe the first guy illustrated well. And this is not a problem with Islam, but with religions around the world (especially if we consider Christianity, Judaism and Islam as sister currents).
      It seemed like a very interesting and safe place to visit. And I think every place in the world has positives and negatives, for me this video is the best part because it concludes a chapter to start another.
      Good luck on the next destination, George, have a good flight

    George you should definitely redo this interview with younger people in universities specially if you have time. I feel like people had a lot to say but there was the language barrier. Most university students are fluent in english. You can go to ENCG / FST... They are like in the same place if you are still in FES of course.
    And i'm sorry about the kids throwing stones at you. In Morocco there is unfortunately some poor places where kids aren't that well educated and open to foreigners or maybe cameras but as you said it's like 1% The majority as you already saw are nice, open minded and welcoming.
    I get that you want to see the traditional places but sometimes you just end up in poor neighbors. It will be a good experience if you try to see the other parts of the city as well. I mean the traditional aspect will still be there. Have a great vacation.

    From your videos, it does seem like the best thing about Morocco is how friendly people are, and a lot of them speak enough English as well! And the architecture there is really unique - I’ve always wanted to visit Morocco to see the architecture! But, as a woman, I’m a bit on the fence to go to muslim countries, even though I know that Morocco is safe and not too conservative. Anyhow, thanks again! I assume that you’re going to Spain next - have a safe trip! 😊
    Edit: I was just noticing that a big change from Brazil to Morocco is that, in Brazil, the subscribers were taking you around and brought you home; in Morocco you made friends with the hotel staff and guides, but I guess that you had fewer subscribers there, so you didn’t get the invitation to people’s houses the same way. In Brazil I find that people treat you like an old friend right off the bat, but there’s a bigger language barrier because fewer people speak English suuuper well. But I still can’t believe that you got your concierge in Morocco to make a snack tasting video 😅😅😅 that was the best!

      " I’m a bit on the fence to go to muslim countries" or maybe you need to get over westerns propaganda and visit the world btwn the conservative countries in Arab world are the most safe not only of the region but they are in world top ten safest country with less rate crimes (Qatar, UAE, Oman, Koweit). Morocco is beautiful country and the most visited country in whole Africa. I did solo trip there.

      If people were really to follow Islam, Morocco will be the best country in the world. The real Islam is far from what the media shows. It's all about peace, love (not the sexualized one) and coexistence.

      @@missyana8746 no need for an aggressive response like that. I’ve visited a few countries around the world, have zero problems with muslim people, but I have problems with the government of certain countries. Your comfort zone is your business. I would probably be OK visiting Morocco, it seems to have a really good infrastructure for tourism, but I dislike conservative regions. It doesn’t seem like Morocco is too conservative, though.

    I feel like these people can't describe themselves very well, it might be the language barrier or that a foreign person (it's not common here) took courage to approach them and suddenly ask them these questions, but I think they tried their best :)
    Personally what I like about Morocco is that there are many cities that have historical monuments and that it has a beautiful natural sceneries, forests and nice views, people here are very generous, kind and welcoming. Morocco has some unique and delicious dishes and traditional food, it's very cheap to live here as a moroccan but there is this controversy that the government doesn't provide much job opportunities, and that the new prime minister increased prices of food & gas, but what I know is that our education system is surely not the best but if one has persevered and set a goal and a correct mindset, he will eventually reach it, great things never came from comfort zones.
    Generally, I think Morocco is definitely a good option for people who like traveling and discovering new cultures and traditions.

    -Firstly, I really like your Japanese name, Takuya, better than George. Please don't take it the wrong way, it's a compliment.
    -Secondly, this is your best video about Morocco so far, interesting, sincere, and truthful about what Moroccans think. No lies. I also like your other videos ,that show how much you love Morocco. Much respect.
    -Thirdly, you are right about the things you dislike about Morocco, and I don't take it badly. Although some Moroccans might they are a minority. As with anywhere in the world, there are good and bad people, i'm somehow agree with you , fully agree with you .
    -Finally, as a Moroccan, I love the diversity of nature in Morocco, from its beaches on the Mediterranean and Atlantic, to its mountains, deserts, and unique wildlife like monkeys, snakes, scorpions, and gazelles, atlas lions( for lions ,lives only in rabat zoo). I also love the culture, music (gnaoua especially , and some others), and traditional architecture, as well as the good people.
    -However, what I hate most about Morocco is the behavior of some bad people who are ignorant or bully others, even though they are a minority. Also, the lack of respect for nature, such as littering and throwing waste everywhere.
