This is very true! Any regular pulling and stretching, which any up-do causes, does break hair and even pulls out more hair than normal daily fallout. At least I've found this to be true over the years. I have very long hair, so I've had to resort to easy-on-the hair methods to keep it out of the way when needed.

Schellea, your hair is GORGEOUS! I love your channel and your wonderful tips for being fabulous at any age! I am nearly 62 and have (thick) long blond hair that is just past my waist. I always air-dry it, get regular trims and wouldn't dream of cutting it. My hair is truly 'me' and it's actually very easy to wear so long as I'm a runner/surfer/fitness lover and I can just put it in a braid, ponytail or bun when I work out. Great video Schellea! I am a massage therapist, so the tip on the scalp massage is such an important tip that you shared in this video. One of the most important! I love the collagen tip... so spot on! And the biotin is also an amazing tip! The tip about the pillow case I had no idea of!! That is amazing! I did not know pillow cases could be so destructive on your hair! I am definitely changing pillow cases. I went pooless entirely a couple of years ago. My hair is touching the top of my tailbone now. I would attach a photo, but I do not believe I can on here. I will see if I can send it to you on your website or facebook page. It is always soft... even when it is wet. I only use food grade henna to stain my hair with. I do not blow dry my hair... I use the house fan. It works! They are actually making cool air blow dryers now. It is much better for your hair to use cool air for drying and cool water for rinsing. I can clean my hair with only water now because the ph in my scalp is balanced from no detergents on my scalp in such a long time. I do use eggs to clean and condition my hair with twice a month. I always have a growth spurt after using the eggs. I have been doing some research on taking a collagen supplement recently, so thank you for the tip on what you are taking that works! Greatly appreciated! Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful videos! Many many blessings to you! Heidi Lynn...

Thank you for the tips. I have one also. Every couple of weeks, I wash my hair with Biolage shampoo and then put the Biolage hair hydrating conditioner on. I leave it in for 20 minutes and sit under a heated cap or use a towel. When you get done, your hair has soaked it all up and then you rinse it out. My hair is very thick and wirery. It makes it so soft. Whenever I feel my hair is in bad condition, I will use Biolage

Shellea, your videos are wonderful! You look so radiant in that lilac and turquoise combination. I would like to share my tip for long healthy hair and though I am just in my early 30s, I am a recent mom of twins and this is what I do for years to keep my hair waist length with healthy ends and especially now it helps me restore my hair after pregnancy - I use egg and yogurt masks. Just beat in whole egg (yolk will nourish your hair while the whites will make it shine) and I add 3-4 table spoons of yogurt for my length, I add some extra lavender oil for smell and to help the hair grow but it's optional. The important part is to massage the mask and LEAVE IT IN FOR AT LEAST 30 min to 1 hour! After it just wash with shampoo. It makes all the difference and I only need to cut my hair every 6 months.

I wish I had your hair! I've been tormented by fine limp hair all my life and now I have thinning to add to my joy. I have to wash my hair every day and use a shampoo to add volume and mousse to give it another boost. Even at this, I'll never have a great head of hair. The thinning is the worst. I'm nearly 60 and dread that any more hair is going to fall out. I look at your hair and want to cry with envy!

Very excited to try all of the tips but I’m afraid I got the “crappy hair gene” in my family!! My aunt and cousin received the wonderful hair gene BUT my mother and I got the skinny gene!! Moral of story is if you have curly hair, you’d rather have straight, the list goes on. As cliche as it sounds, a confident woman that loves her family and is kind to others is what’s attractive to me, like our sweet friend that brings us these wonderful videos. She really appears to have that peace within and it’s so contagious.

I wonder what happened to my once greasy and oily hair that had to washed everyday and toned with an astringent up until perimenopause? I know that double processing my blonde hair made my hair even drier. This winter, I was attacked by sh*tty shingles of the eye and optic nerve. So I had sores, for months, on one side of my scalp, forehead and eye area. I couldn't dye my hair for months (thank Gd my light salt and pepper blended in with everything else). All I could use was baby shampoo on the roots and conditioner on the ends. It worked so well that I continue to use it now.

Thank you Schellea for your tips, I would like to add that the choice of shampoo is very important. I only use shampoos without sulfate, silicone and paraben . Hair loss can be triggered by using the wrong shampoos...Also more we wash our hair more it becomes greasy so I do it only twice a week now and my hair feels much better. It helps not to blow dry the hair too much as it dries it. I also take multi vitamines everyday and vegan collagen as I am vegetarian. Scalp massage is a nice stimulant for the growth as well. My hair grows 1 cm a month at the moment...Lucky me! Thank you for all your videos!

But recently I started to move them to the side and feel I need help. I see how beautifully long your hair is with fringe. This is what I want!!!!! fabulous50s no right now I’m into Apothecary Essentials. But for some reason I tend to change my shampoos and conditioners with the season. It’s the smell. For instance summer is ALWAYS coconut smelling shampoo. I have a very heightened sense of smell. Maybe that has something to do with it. I don’t know. 🤷🏻‍♀️ lol

I had a hairdresser tell me when I washed my hair to just wash my scalp and when I rinsed my hair, the soapy water would clean the ends and that would keep them from drying out.
Definitely, I'll splurge for the silk pillowcase. I wondered why my hair was breaking off in the back and now I know.

I am amazed I've never heard of the full moon hair cutting. When it's a full moon my energy goes into overdrive. I'm able to compose great writing etc. Also I dont/can't sleep during a full moon, which people don't believe lol. Some Amazing Tips & I thank you so much. I have a nervous habit I started 2 years ago. So embarrassing & disgusting but I'm a scalp picker. I've seen my dermatologist because I developed an infection. I'm coming out of the closit on this because my Dr. Said sadly it's not uncommon. I stopped 6 months, started back up. Half the time I'm not even aware I am doing it. It can & does cause permanent hair loss, dents, swelling & infections. Plus you can't get your hair coloured with open sores. Like biting your nails it's a battle to stop. I'm so afraid I'll end up wearing a wig. I encourage all scalp pickers to see their dermatology dr. Make sure you haven't developed staff, which I did & spread it to other family members. 30 percent carry staff but keep picking & see what happens. It's embarrassing & has serious consequences. Btw you have the most beautiful hair, as I once did. ♡☆♡☆♡

If you have a specialized jeans shop nearby or a high(er)-end shopping center, give their assistants a try. For me, with my broken local language knowledge, two assistants helped me pick 2 best jeans I've ever owned! And I got to know some brand names that concentrate on quality jeans so I can later purchase online if I need. I got one from BLUE FIRE Co. and another from G-STAR and just today in an outlet nearby to me I got another from Blue Fire for half the price!

@julijakeit check out HSN.com. Look up Diane Gilman jeans. I’m 59 years old soon to be 60 and I love rocking her jeans. She has sizes 4 thru 24 and 3 length sizes. The styles are fabulous and you have 30 days to try them out and if you don’t like it just keep the packaging and send it back.

I don’t plan to try most of these tips - it takes a couple of months to schedule an appointment with my hairdresser, I take what I can get - but medications I had to take after a transplant tend to cause hair loss and biotin is always recommended.
I have been sleeping on a silk pillowcase for years and I love them. There are some real silk ones reasonably priced on Amazon too.

I agree with the advice about the full moon. My father always planted his seedlings just a few days before a full moon and they grew faster. The moon's gravitational pull on the earth is strongest when there is a full moon. You just can't argue with science. 😊🌷🌻🌼
