Natasha Arvanitis .... I totally agree one kind word to a total stranger could make someone's day… I wish everyone would be a little more compassionate sometimes… Kindness does not cost anything🤷🏻♀️💜😁
This was probably the best 13 minutes I have ever spent watching TH-cam. Not only are you gorgeous physically, you are a wise woman who is an incredibly eloquent speaker. Thank you for passing some love around a female community that, as a group, can quite often be a really tough crowd!!! Much love❤️💕❣❤️💕
So happy to be following this lovely lady too, Sherri!!! Thank you for your kind words, Deanna! She makes 50+ seem more appealing than our 20's lol .....love it🙋🏼🙋🏼🙋🏼💗
Hi @JC More! I really appreciate your lovely comment...You are so sweet and you too are passing the love around...Thank you...we are all in this together... Have an amazing week 💕
Brought tears to my eyes. I moved out of my hometown because of gossip and bullying. Isn't being beautiful all about building character anyway? I recently read something which said: I don't want friends who talk about me behind my back, I want friends who pray for me. I am like you and can feel energy. I simply do not spend time with anyone anymore that drains me. Would rather be alone. Thank you for this incredible video. You must be a wonderful friend to those around you.
Hi Kasey! Thanks so much for your lovely comment... Im sorry you had to experience that, it must have been traumatic...I think it is very healing to spend time alone and regroup before going out into the world again...Have a self care weekend 💕
Omg. Me too. I was happy in high school with the whole town not just my school. After college and a year in Atlanta, I moved home to teach high school. I was single and very rejected by people who had once been my friend's, CHURCH PEOPLE. My social life was in Atlanta, Tallahassee, Jacksonville. I moved to a larger city in my early 30s. Everyone here likes me. I love the people here and would never go home.
I grew up with a sister a year younger than me and she is absolutely beautiful. I was always compared to her and adults were not kind . Now I am 51 and she is 50 and I still am the plain Jane and she is gorgeous. I have struggled all my life with low self esteem. But I do compliment other woman and girls because I know how important it is to be kind. You are so beautiful it seems strange to hear you had low self esteem. Your smile is genuinely that of a beautiful soul.
@Jacqui McArthur Im sending you a big hug 🤗❤️ Start seeing yourself as gorgeous too...You have a kind heart and that is so attractive...Lets imagine that you have 40 years left to live...and your whole belief system changed from thinking physical beauty is the be all and end all....to believing that kindness, caring, compassion, creativity and vitality equals beauty....do you think you could experience the next 40 years in a different way? Do you think you would see yourself as beautiful? Do you think this would be do able? 🙌
@@fabulous50s I am so blown away that you replied. LOL. I have 2 beautiful sons. They think I'm gorgeous so I suppose that is all that matters. Thank you for your kindness!
Jacqui McArthur Oh Jacque, the fact that your sons KNOW you to be beautiful should settle it for you! I so encourage you to begin... from this moment forward to DO... think, speak, act just as Schellea said in her personal response to you. Just do THAT! If you do so, instead of the way you have felt and believed about yourself in the past... you will begin to unfold and bloom, because it IS YOUR TIME to shine! To begin with, you probably will feel ridiculous... and that it is not authentic... but just continue following this plan of action, regardless how you feel about it. Focus more on building others up in a genuine manner, but build yourself up at the same time, inwardly. IF you will do this, consistently, your next 40 years WILL convince you that this truly works! Best wishes in seeing the truth and living it! Practice makes better, so practice only what you want more of! -Hugs!
My sister is just like you! She still to this day at 46 is jealous and people still tell her how gorgeous I am and ask if I am a model in front of her. Mind you she is attractive but just not nearly as good looking as me and as confident as me.
I'm so glad I found you. Have you written a book on this and related advice? I have just turned 70 y.o., retired and divorced two years ago. Now I don't know what to do, what to wear, how to carry myself/ present myself. But you are teaching me everything, from makeup, importance of exercise, consider others first. A week ago I met a man while at the exercise club, I haven't been back since, he seemed "interested and interesting".......I panicked. Now I can go back feeling confident; your advice has empowered me and given me a place to start and enjoy my retirement. Thank You! You are special.
I value this statement greatly. It’s hard not to want to criticize a coworker out loud especially if they have gone out of their way to make you look bad so they can make themselves top dog at work. Thank you for sharing 💗
@@coffeebreak247 Yes it's hard yet when we don't react & join their chain of pain their behavior will expose their true motives & people eyes will be opened
I couldn’t agree more with all of your tips! When I hear women talking about another woman, I always say “Really? I really like them” it takes the sting out of the tail of the conversation many times ❤️🇬🇧
Thank you for this video. I clicked on it thinking it was going to be about makeup or clothes but I was pleasantly surprised. I love that you focused on inner beauty and how to treat others. I’ve just discovered your channel in the last few months and really enjoy the content. I’m 54 and I enjoy watching someone close in age because they can relate more to my life and experiences. Keep up the great work! 💕
Thank you Schellea for this beautiful message. You made me cry and feel better about myself. I never feel confident when walking in a room, yet I know I'm a good person. I never feel like I'm as good as everyone around me. You just taught me some techniques that I can use today. You are truly beautiful on the inside and out - thank you!
Thank you for your kind words @Tracy Price 🙏 I appreciate you taking the time to comment🌸 Start making a mental note of all the good things you have achieved over your lifetime and focus on that...
@@fabulous50s Thank you for your nice reply Schellea ... The day after I watched your video I went to work with a different mind set. I was friendly with a coworker that I would normally avoid & she responded positively to me. It made me feel like a better person. Days later her daughter passed away suddenly & I feel so bad for her. I'm just glad I watched your video. Thank you again!
@@tracyprice3314 I'm so sorry to hear that, Tracy.... it's very beautiful that you were able to send some kindness and love to that coworker... we are all passing more love around because of this beautiful video message!
I don't know why I care so much about the way I look. I just feel like something died when I lost my eggs. I am no longer reproductive..I feel like I don't have a place in this world. It's very confusing. I know that it is stupid. I really want to feel better. I want someone to see me as a valuable person.
Thanks Lisa Costigan! Can you even imagine? It would be so healing if we all got the chance to go back and reset our belief systems...Have a fabulous day 🌸
My childhood was exactly like that and you’re right, I too developed empathy and a sixth sense. I finally overcame the negative! Thank you, great video! 💓
Funny how this turns around, completely.....The same people/types that I USED to allow me to feel inferior to, I now have a sense of pity for, in a loving way.
What a beautiful message!!!! I am a highly sensitive person and an empath. This has made my life quite difficult in many ways, but I also understand a lot more about people because of it. You are so right about everything you said here, and especially about cruel things from childhood that stick in a person’s mind . Thank you for this wonderful message, it’s so needed in today’s world ❤️🌈🌷😊
I am saving this to my favorites...the 8th grade mean girl’s words took decades to overcome. You have good advice for how to engage people in a new social setting. Well done.
@@misskit866 And then she grows up into a drop-dead gorgeous girl. If we only had the confidence we have now and if we only knew back then what we know now, how extraordinary would that have been to have the wisdom and insight to know our worth even if we are not accepted into the world of popularity and acceptance. 🍒🌼🍒
Hi Teresa, I am so sorry your feelings were hurt and that you carried it with you for a very long time. I truly hope your heart and mind are filled with every beautiful thing that brings true happiness. I know exactly what you are talking about, though. The girl who also said a very mean thing to me in front of a mix of 7th and 8th graders was also an 8th grader. I was only in 7th grade. She was tall and thin with long gorgeous silky hair and very beautiful. She was going into modeling. She had the world in her hands but felt the need to elevate herself even higher by hurting my feelings. Those things can stay with us for a long time. I never fit in anywhere. I was always on the outside looking in. When I turned 17, I blossomed and everything changed for me, and I have never looked back. I am confident and happy and love being in my own company and love being me and don't need anyone to validate my existence. However, as Schaella has said, I think my experience has made me empathetic to girls who are going through the same thing I did, and I want to build them up and help give them the confidence to see their beauty and worth so they don't go through the heartache of not being accepted but to be confident enough to be her own person at such a vulnerable and awkward age 💓
Hi Schellea, I think growing up, you were bullied because others saw your beauty inside and out. It was a beauty that you were not aware of, but clear to others. I developed that 6th sense too, because of the very things you have described here. I can tell immediately who people really are opposed to the people they pretend to be. Great uplifting video.! Thank you.
This is great! I do Tip #4 frequently at parties: If I find someone standing alone, I go up and start a conversation with that person. Then someone walks by, and I introduce the two of them, trying for a three-way conversation. Eventually, I can continue mingling, but I've just made a connection between two people. It also helps ME not feel awkward at parties. I love your approach to life. Thank you for doing this channel. I also have a question: I like your jewelry in several of your videos. Where do you shop for accessories? Thank you!
Every day, I go out of my way to make someone feel good. It can be anything - the color of nail polish, an article of clothing, pair of shoes, hair color or style... I've also noticed that if its someone who isn't nice, it will soften her heart. After that, we have an instant connection everytime we see one another.
I didn't consciously realize this, but the most attractive and admirable women in my life do many of these things. Thanks for distilling all this wonderful info into doable tips!
This video was so meaningful to me and it will definitely be one that I will watch over and over! I am 65 and still dealing with feelings of not being good enough. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences and knowledge. You are a great motivational speaker! ❤️
Me too. I never felt pretty, smart, or that I fit in. To make matters worse... we moved a lot with my fathers promotions. So I was always the "new kid." I learned to fake being self assured.... I should win an Oscar. Lol. I'm 56 now.... a bit more confident (a lot more "I dont care what others think.")
I completely relate to the first part of this video about being a child and carrying burdens into adulthood. Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful tips. You are a special empathetic person, beautiful inside and out ❤️
The most important thing I’ve learned so far when relating to others is to be the example of what you want to see in a person. It’s the best way to bring out good examples in others that will truly make a difference in the world.
Hi, Shellie, yes that is so true, everything you said, I was that shy person, mostly because I grew up with a super critical mother, my faith has helped to focus me from myself to others and it really does work, thanks so much, such an important message for the younger ladies as well as we more mature ladies xxx
Thank you for your video. I was bullied in elementary school and told I was ugly. That stayed with me my whole life and I'm now 56 yo and still battle with those feelings. You're beautiful. I enjoy your videos. This one in particular ministered to my heart.
It's true, people will do that. I know a man who has 3 daughters. One is very naturally attractive, I nearly gasped the first time I saw her. One I've never seen, he tells me she was so physically beautiful, she was bullied by other females all the time out of jealousy. She ended her life as a teenager. I worked with a woman who was evil toward me. We were both in early 30's. Finally one day, I had the courage to ask why? Because she was envious that I was so thin and had discipline with my diet (healthy) and that she couldn't do it. Another time and job, I worked with a woman who displayed absolute disgust with me. Finally found it was because I got the secretary job she applied for and didn't get it. It's so sad what women do to each other. Women should be supporting each other in sisterhood. We need that more than anything right now.
As we say here in Texas, “Preach, Sister!” Watching your video was like having an honest counseling session with a very wise woman! You definitely reminded us what “real beauty” looks like. We all need “real wisdom” to combat the lies the world seems to tell women “over a certain age.” My aunt used to say, “Pretty is as Pretty does.” You certainly display that by taking time to share such an important message! Focusing on others truly brings real validation that we have worth and something left to give! Those people who were mean to you probably have no idea how much they helped you grow into the beautiful person-inside & out-you’ve become!
Hi Schellea, you are beautiful lady inside and out! I grew up very shy and insecure never feeling comfortable in my own skin. Growing up in a dysfunctional family didn’t help ! Growing up with two sisters that were jealous of me was sad. People outside of my family would always complement me on how pretty I was, but never felt pretty. Never was bullied by strangers, but found I was bullied by my sisters. I now work on complementing others and being kind ! It really dose make you feel better about yourself! And people want to be around you. Thank you! For this video😃❤️
Omg Schellea. I do this, I can feel a vibe from people.its a gut feeling. I totally agree with all these things . Schellea you’re such a beautiful person. We definitely need more of this. Kindness and humility. Treating people from all walks of life equally. Thank you for such an uplifting, fresh and honest vid. You’re wonderful. Sending you sunshine from Qld. Off to Tazzie tomorrow to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary so I’ll be sending you snow tomorrow xxx🌞🙏🌺♥️❄️☃️🌬
You're awesome Tracey Higgins 👍 Thanks for your comment and have an amazing anniversary trip to Tazzie...Its the only part in Australia that I haven't visited...Congratulations ❤👏
I’m crying at just the mere suggestion of what I can be. I was that girl who felt unworthy for many years too. Your channel has added to my recovery. Thank you, Schellae.
Such a good video I felt like that as a teen and most of my adult life, my Mother was not kind and criticized my looks .If get a compliment now I say thank you instead of trying to put myself down like I had most of my life. Thanks for this video it is the best pep talk
Thanks beautiful free meow! If a mother is comfortable making her child feel bad about herself...the problem is not the child! Please remember this...You are not what someone else thinks of you ❤
This is better than any TED talk I've ever seen! I've heard and read about a lot of this advice. Some of it new to me. You present it in a slightly different way with great examples I haven't seen before. The part you spoke of in the beginning, I absolutely relate to 110%. At 59, I'm still struggling with self-worth and appearance. You reminded me about the part I've heard before about taking the focus off ourself and instead focusing on how we can serve someone. Finally, I do notice those who seem to be with low self-worth/shy (shyness is sign of low self-worth), and I will engage with them and try and help them feel good. I always thought I was just attracted to those more like me, when it would be better to hang with those with high self-esteem who are more positive (and tend to be naturally physically beautiful). The saying to "surround yourself with positive people." They can be intimidating for me, though, to where I feel even worse about myself! Maybe being attracted to shy, quiet people is also a case of having empathy, like you said. Thank you so much for this video!
Your manner, tone, and soft facial expression is so warm...yes you are beautiful, but the light that comes from you is from your heart...I love how your advice is always from a loving place!
Hi Schellea what a beautiful message. You are so right on all points. Yes lose the ego and focus on others. I was painfully shy as a young girl which is really a lack of confidence. It took a long time to come through that but even still struggle with it at times. The one tip about mirroring I learned a long time ago and it truly does work. I am an introvert and learned in order to communicate with extroverts or a dominate personality I had to do just that and it works wonderfully. Thanks so much for sharing this to the world xxoo Jackie
Hi Timeless Beauties Studio by Jacqueline! Thanks so much for your lovely comment... So much respect for introverted personalities doing TH-cam...Not easy...Ladies, may I suggest you check out Jacqueline's channel and give her some love xxx
Thank You Schellea, beautiful video many of us have had the same things, thank you for being caring enough to open up about the pain you endured, and have triumphed over and giving us what works so we can have Victory. You are a beautiful soul...thank you ... Thank You
You are sooo beautiful in every way 💖 This was sooo uplifting !! And I was thinking how when I am at a party it is not the best looking man or woman that I find beautiful but the person with sparkling eyes, a genuine radiant smile and a warmth about them - that is soooo BEAUTIFUL and attractive 💖 The people that are only judging by looks are not worth the time - especially at this age. Thank you for a beautiful uplifting vid 💖💖💖💖💖
Wow! This video made me cry! I understand the bullying and even at 48, the impact of it is still there! Even at my age, I still walk into a room and immediately think people are judging and talking about me! As we know, some adults are no kinder than a lot of kids! But, this video really helps! Thank you!
Very good advice! I especially like the mirroring technique you shared. Have never thought of doing that. Thank you for sharing wise tips that are simple yet powerful!
You are so sweet and relatable. You show yourself in all honesty, but at the same time you do not self-deprecate. I opened this video not because I'd like to be the most beautiful woman in the room (ie not to compete with other women), but because I want to feel more attractive in my own skin, for my own self and for the man I love. The first part of the video where you tell that you felt unattractive for a long time really moved me. I have too, all my life, to this day. So, thank you for sharing your story and how you've overcome it. You are doing good in the world. I firmly believe that women need to stop seeing each other as rivals, and start uniting and empowering each other. You are doing this. What makes you beautiful is your soul shining through. Hugs.
Thank you so much for your kind words No Name 🙏 I appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your experience. I have the same wish for how women treat each other as you ❤️
Whenever another woman starts to gleefully gossip about someone we both know, I interrupt her by saying " You are telling me this because...?" It kills the conversion stone dead!
Great tips Schellea! Thanks for sharing all these wonderful lessons you have learnt along the way. I also learn't to hold my head up when I walk in the room, smile and look people in the eye, even offer to shake hands. This is a very charismatic way to introduce yourself and certainly gets peoples attention!! Great to use when going for a job interview!
Without doubt this is your best video so far! I agree & can relate 100% to everything you shared. I love that you took your earlier negative experiences & turned them into a positive powerful way of living!!
"other peoples opinions of us does not matter" we were created by the universe and we were all made perfect just the way we are!! 🙋🏻🙌🏻luv yourself 💜 we don't have to conform to societies ideas of what s beautiful and what's NOT ..… BE YOURSELF!! 🤷🏻♀️💯
Yes I agree, and I'm not talking about not taking care of yourself or your health … I'm talking about self love and acceptance and not always trying to fit in with what everyone else looks like and will be excepted by everyone else… Be the best version of yourself for sure!! 🤷🏻♀️💜 don't live for validation from other people… Please yourself, be happy with yourself!!! 🙋🏻🙌🏻⚡️😉 this is not a competition… When you compare yourself to others you insult yourself!!! 😘🤗
Anita: Perfectly stated! I believe God made me, however, you are spot on! People that try and force their opinions of “responsibility to take care of yourself” do not pay for healthcare or suffer any possible consequences of other people’s choices!” I’ll bet they’re the ones sitting around gossiping about how other people SHOULD be taking care of themselves!
This is hands down the best video on TH-cam about beauty. Your tips will help women with their own anxiety, fears and insecurities, while helping people around them, as well. Very wise words, thank you.
Such a great video I can really relate. I went through the same thing as a child and young lady never feeling good about myself, yet now when I look back at old photots I was nothing like the images I had in my head, I wasn't fat and my nose fit my face yet I never saw that back then and grew up shy and unsure of myself. Once I hit 50 I saw past that any my confidence has grown, love your advice your a gift to us ladies over 50.
Shell I absolutely love this video! Again you are a total angel brought to us to help women by empowering themselves. I was never the blonde bombshell I am today. I was skinny lanky with mousy Brown hair. That ugly duckling turned into a beautiful Swan but I too had many poor experiences. For me the best thing you touched on was when you walk in the Room shoulders back chin up, own it girl. However I am a culprit of talking about my experiences that I need to work on. We all have talents given to us by God and sometimes they're hard to be seen. There's a saying and show business common never never never talk bad about somebody, No matter how much you don't like them. It's very unbecoming. I hope we can all start trying to raise our daughters to become ladies and not trash talking selfish girls. Forgiveness goes a long way. Have a wonderful day my friends!!!
Hi Beautiful LA Kierstead! I love that you are feeling great about who you are today, despite what you have been through...Sound advice from you xx Have an amazing week ahead ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing with us. Life can be difficult, but we can each help make life more enjoyable with a little thought and compassion for others. You are wise, appreciated and lovely!! Hugs & Smiles to you!!
This is the best video ever. In a me me me world, we all need these tips to be a decent human beings, to care and respect others. We always feel better when we don’t just focus on ourselves and make others feel important
The absolute best video I have seen!!! I have self confidence issues and fear of rejection. I have improved over the past few years and this video will help immensely!!! I also think we are all of the age where we should be supporting each other in a positive manner, not judging or tearing down!
I loved this video. It was so motivational! I actually do a lot of the things you suggested. I call it "My Shine". Getting my shine on. And it means I'm going to be me and make everyone happy and full of life.
Thank you for this wise lesson. Like you and many others here, I grew up with unkind, mean, and unending derogatory comments, until those outside voices became my voice. Your guidance on how to overcome this is wonderful and truly works. I recognize myself in the woman sitting alone in the farthest corner, wondering how soon she can leave, and will anyone really miss her if she just goes. When I was her, what would have made me feel welcome and at ease--kindness, genuine interest, gentleness--and I try to give that. It isn't easy--I'm in my mid-60s and still learning to overcome my insecurities (why would anyone want to talk to ME?) but learning serve not self really does make me feel beautiful.
This is wonderful, thank you very much! As a performing artist, I can confirm how true is what you are saying: stage fright or any negative thoughts kick in only when I am thinking about if I look fine, how will I sound like, is my technique alright, how will my audience like me, what will they think about me, me, ME. But when I sing with the intention of communicating the pictures and emotions in the song, giving nice moments to THEM, it changes everything. Then I can be in my sneakers and an old sweater, with the most minimal make-up, hair undone, problem teeth - and people tell me all the time how beautiful I am, what a gorgeous smile I have, etc. And don't you think this also works just when you walk in the street? I noticed that when I am out walking and can manage not to have any attention on myself or thinking about anything special, but I can truly be in the present and focus on the surroundings, people smile at me very friendly all the time, just strangers who pass by.
These tips are like precious gems and they eminate from your kind heart to touch each of us in a profound way. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom ...focusing on others is so important and can be life changing. Blessings and Hugs..... Sherry
I'm highly sensitive in life and was bullied in school never fit in. I did not have the right clothes etc.. I was just always different. As I got older I'm glad to be me and walk my own path. I appreciate you sharing this. Your a caring gentle soul. Hugs xxoo
Oh my, I’m so sorry you had to experience those bad feelings about yourself growing up. No one should be made to feel that way about themselves. That being said. You certainly have done a wonderful job of healing yourself. I’m sure it took a lot of work and self help to over come that. You are so sweet and caring and inspirational. You are beautiful INSIDE AND OUT. You are a huge inspiration to me. Your videos have become my go to when ever I need tips or information on anything from makeup to self help. Thank you Schellea for sharing. 💕
Thankyou for this common sense advice that we know but dont think about when we are in these situations!!! You are a beautiful genuine woman...it just shows right thru the screen!!! Much Love!!will try these tips!!❤🌹
I believe this has been the most inspirational TH-cam video I have ever seen. I would have thought your youth was entirely charmed and protected as you project such self confidence and radiate inner beauty and kindness. To now know that we all seem to face the same obstacles is enlightening for me. I admit that I see myself as one who can’t wait to share my own experiences that are similar to stories being told and I need to work on that - I think I feel that I need to be entertaining to be liked. What a lot we women have to work through just to feel like we are enough. With tears in my eyes and gratitude in my heart Thank you Shellea!!
Thanks so much Terry Ensslen!I acknowledge the kindness in your heart ❤️ Charmed and protected was what I would dream of as a child..But as I can see now, that wouldn't have served the me I have become...Thanks so much for taking the time to comment ❤️
If you haven't written a book yet you absolutely NEED to. I just found you on YT about a week ago and I'm watching every video I can find. You are such an insightful, graceful woman. Thank you for that 💗
Hello beautiful Schellea! 😀 I love love love this video !!!😍😍😍 I felt really sad though when you talked about your own experience in the intro. You are such a gorgeous lady inside and out! I too suffered from bullying when I was a young teenager. It was at school and I started suffering from depression at that time. Women (or young girls) can be quite cruel indeed. But I developed confidence and self-esteem over time and I have excellent inter-personal skills now. I was quite unpopular at school but now I have tons of friends at work 😀. Thanks a lot for all the hard work you put into making these videos, they are amazing and they really brighten up my days 🌞. Much love, Sophie
Thanks so much for your comment Sophie Acapella! It seems like we don't have a leg to stand on when we are young and vulnerable...Im happy that you have found your true self and lots of friends as an adult... and I'm sure you have true compassion too...Have a fabulous day 🌸
Hi Sally God bless you. After my husband died i moved to another city. I started neglecting myself until i saw you on youtube. Im turning 70 jrs and was so excited when you teached us how to aply makeup for woman over 50. And how to care for our hair. I have been using your tips and started getting compliments. I also started feeling happy and starting to feel good. Thank you soo much for all your wonderfull tips. You are absolutely amazing and so beautifull.
Thank you for your videos, I have learned so many things in the short time since I subscribed not long ago, from how to apply makeup with little tips, to dressing tips, to exercise(I finally ordered a rebounder after your video on it!) I have been wanting one for 2 yrs and just got overwhelmed when looking to order one and I just bit the bullet and bought one on amazon! Now I have to set it up. Thank you again for all you share with all of us!
Thanks for taking the time to comment MySharon! Im so happy you bit the dust with the re-bounder...Im sure you chose the perfect one...mine is nothing special but I still love it...Have a great day 🌸
Ive loved all your videos but this video has helped me so much because im 60 and i have grown up with that conditioned voice in my head my entire life. Thank you so much xo
What a wonderful video! I have always struggled with being my own worst critic, and I think I have missed out on many opportunities because of that. But, because of that I have learned that we should be kind to others and build them up, instead of tearing each other down. I always try to give a kind compliment to people I interact with throughout the day, for example, the lady who is ringing up my groceries at the store and you can tell is having a bad day, etc. You can see a whole person's demeanor change with just some kind words. These times are hard enough where there seems to be more negativity than positivity and we can change that by just one person at a time. Over time, that can make a tremendous difference. Thank you for making such positive content on YT. You truly are not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too!
This is a fabulous message and you are so right! Beauty is as beauty does. Early on in my channel I was unfairly attacked by some of the mean types of girls you referenced. I didn’t fight back. I just wished them well and walked away. Don’t associate with the mean girls as you become like those you associate with. I love your approach of focusing on helping others, not ourselves. That is the way to true happiness. Love your videos! You are on God’s path for you helping others in mass. Blessings to you in all you do. You are truly the most beautiful woman in the room, and you help us become more beautiful too. 💝
FiftyPlusBeauty I can’t imagine why someone would treat you that way as you are a woman who is so beautiful, so genuine, fun and wise. You have a lot to share and you’re my sunshine. I love every time I log in to youtube and see you have posted a new video. I learn something new every time I watch you. 😘
Thanks so much for this lovely commnet FiftyPlusBeauty! Beth I acknowledge the kindness in your heart ❤️ Im so sorry you experienced the mean girls! I can say that I was in shock when I realized what was going on behind the scenes here in this space too...Definitely not what I expected...Im happy for you that you walked away with grace...sending you a big hug ❤
Having a bad few months...I just can’t seem to get a break. Needed to hear your wonderful tips. Still wish I could get my makeup right. My son is getting married soon and I just want to look nice and make him proud. He is my heart.
Hi Gabby Street! Your son will already be so proud of you...Our kids see our hearts first and our makeup and outfit second....If you practice with your makeup every day, you will get so good at it you will amaze yourself...Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
I love your message about focusing on serving! Women supporting women! We need more videos like this! Thank you for sharing your positivity and confidence. GREAT video!💕
Schealla, you are so precious ! thank you for being who you are, it's so rare to meet people like you, even if it is through the screen of a computer ! Love from a French fan !
I am so glad I found your channel! The content of this video is wonderful, and your tips after perfect, women can be so hard on other women, so lovely to hear constructive ways to treat others and in turn, be treated! You are beautiful and your inner beauty shines through! Thank again!
Thanks so much for this! I adore your positivity & class. My self condemnation, believing bullies, or even negative talk in my upbringing, history of sexual & spousal abuse, plus societal expectations, has completely demolished my self esteem. Not because it has continued, but because my internal dialogue has cemented it. Thousands of times, while looking in the mirror, or passing a window, or the harsh lights of clothing store dressing rooms, my harsh assessment of myself is my worst bully. When I enter a room, my self talk prevents me from feeling confident. My shoulders slump. My gaze is floorbound. My face is impassive, or even defiant, daring people to judge me. I have been my own worst enemy! Why?! My heart is sweet, & I have such a love for everyone else. What can I do to change this damaging self dialogue? I love your beauty & confidence! Arriving at a point where walking into a crowded room would be exciting instead of inspiring dread, sounds absolutely heavenly. Apparently, my work has just begun.
I don't usually make comments on videos but this one is close to my heart. I believe everything your saying, its all about how you make the other person feel around you. My son is 19 and in his profession working with much older people than himself. I've told him to let the other people talk and make small comments if he has questions. Not to just be quite...smile and make simple greetings when you meet someone for the first time. As well have a joke to tell that everyone can enjoy on hand. Laughter is always a wonderful way to have someone open up to you. People will remember you when you make them laugh and listened to them. As well one thing I have always done, is when entering into a large room, pause at the entrance of the room before going right in. Almost like your being announced!.. lol It shows you have confidence, gives you a chance to see the entire room and know were the fire exits are.. lol..
Your story is my story. The words that made me feel bad about myself were from my mother. After years of wasting time hating myself and lots of counselling I am finally the person I wish I always was. I am 50 and I have let go of all those negative messages and thoughts. I am free and it is not about how I look but who I am and who I have always been. I agree 100% with what you are saying in this video. You are amazing Keep spreading the message ♥️
Hi this is Supriya ! I started loving your videos .. excellent .. I am 52 . And your videos are helping me a lot .. the way you talk is very graceful ... thank u
As Maya Angelou said, "people will forget what you said and people will forget what you did, but people will always remember how you made them feel".

Well said!
I agree 100%! So happy to be following her. :)
So happy to be following this lovely lady too, Sherri!!! Thank you for your kind words, Deanna! She makes 50+ seem more appealing than our 20's lol .....love it🙋🏼🙋🏼🙋🏼💗
JC More totally agree with you. She’s so amazing. Everything she says is true, especially about listening to people. Glad I came across her channel.
-Hugs!
Gigi CS o
My sister is just like you! She still to this day at 46 is jealous and people still tell her how gorgeous I am and ask if I am a model in front of her. Mind you she is attractive but just not nearly as good looking as me and as confident as me.
What a beautiful soul you are. Thank you for caring about people xx
You're amazing @Anita Rickey! Thanks for taking the time to comment ❤️
Sending positive vibes. You are going to do 👍
My Nana has a saying ... what Suzie says about Sally says more about Suzie than Sally ... l always remember that !!! 😊
Hi biggyziggy 577! Sounds like a smart Nana. Have a fabulous day 🌸
I value this statement greatly. It’s hard not to want to criticize a coworker out loud especially if they have gone out of their way to make you look bad so they can make themselves top dog at work. Thank you for sharing 💗
Nana has a lot of wisdom!!!!
@@coffeebreak247 Yes it's hard yet when we don't react & join their chain of pain their behavior will expose their true motives & people eyes will be opened
I live by that rule!!
I couldn’t agree more with all of your tips! When I hear women talking about another woman, I always say “Really? I really like them” it takes the sting out of the tail of the conversation many times ❤️🇬🇧
YES! It often stops them in their tracks and they stopped talking about that person too!
I love your tip Maria In Her 50s! Thanks for sharing with us 🙏

Hi Candy Mitchell and a warm welcome to fabulous50s! I'm happy you are here...Thanks so much for watching and have an amazing weekend 💕
Candy- I wrote my public comment before reading any others. After reading yours, it seems we have had the same experience.
Leigh-Ann H I love these videos. I do watch some younger youtubers but having someone closer in age knows what I’m experiencing.

Melissa Bledsoe Im sending you a big hug 🤗❤️

Well done.
I feel your pain! Boys in 9th grade homeroom, "Yeah, she's really nice, too bad she's so ugly."
Thank you.
Thank you Sallie C! Kind comments come from kind people ❤️
This is great!
I loved reading your comment Melinda! ❤️

Hi chrissie hopkins! Thanks so much for sharing your comment...Stay fabulous 💕
Thank you for your video. I was bullied in elementary school and told I was ugly. That stayed with me my whole life and I'm now 56 yo and still battle with those feelings. You're beautiful. I enjoy your videos. This one in particular ministered to my heart.
Yes perception can heal or hurt ! Don’t ever take what others think , you are your own person !
Hi Elizabeth Ann ferrario! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
I am guilty of giving my own experiences when someone is sharing theirs. I need to stop that.
It's really great that you are aware of that! Sending you big hugs from Australia xx
I am too. Sadly. I get caught up with gossip and want to give my input as if this is gonna make me popular!! No it won’t!!
You may have been bullied because you were very attractive and smart and they were jealous. I bet anything! XO
Cathy McVeigh Im sending you a big hug 🤗❤️
Cathy McVeigh yes! I agree with you on that! 👍😉
I agree with that comment
My mother always said they were just jealous
Wow, Thank you Shelley, I'm loving all your tips and starting to feel great about myself. X
I love everything about this video! So much truth to what you said.
Hey Monique MoMo! I'm happy you enjoyed the video...Have an amazing day 🤗
I've just turned 47, but I love to be part of your community even if I am 3 years early. Thank you for your smile and for the gentleness you spread 😊
Thanks Lulu I really appreciate your comment...Thanks for taking the time to say hi ❤️
Hi Beautiful Lola Kathol! Stay fabulous...Have an amazing week ahead ❤️
Omg Schellea. I do this, I can feel a vibe from people.its a gut feeling. I totally agree with all these things . Schellea you’re such a beautiful person. We definitely need more of this. Thanks beautiful free meow! If a mother is comfortable making her child feel bad about herself...the problem is not the child! Please remember this...You are not what someone else thinks of you ❤
fabulous50s you are such a sweet lady
Thank you for your pearls of wisdom!😊💕
Thanks Linda Field! Have a fabulous day 🌸
Your manner, tone, and soft facial expression is so warm...yes you are beautiful, but the light that comes from you is from your heart...I love how your advice is always from a loving place!

Thank you!

Great advice, not only women but men's can learn from this. TFS
Thanks beautiful Eloise Green! Have an amazing day ❤️
You are so sweet and relatable.
I have the same wish for how women treat each other as you ❤️
Great advice as usual, especially about the gossiping... women are very quick, sadly, to drag others down.
Hi Bernita Jenkins! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕

Hey April T! I'm happy you enjoyed the video...Have an amazing day 🤗
"other peoples opinions of us does not matter" we were created by the universe and we were all made perfect just the way we are!! 🙋🏻🙌🏻luv yourself 💜 we don't have to conform to societies ideas of what s beautiful and what's NOT ..… BE YOURSELF!! 🤷🏻♀️💯
Anita Carter the problem with this mentality is being “yourself” should not excuse your responsibility of taking care of your bodies and be healthy.
Anita Carter totally agree!

I love this Melinda Smith! Have a fabulous day 🌸
Thank you for this wise lesson.
Love your positive messages, Shellea!
Hi Kimberly Dickson! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕

Hi Sherry Edwards! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
fabulous50s I am in my 30s. I like your channel and I think you’re very attractive! 💕
Hi Rhea Rhea! Thanks so much for your lovely comment... Have an amazing week 💕
A smile is the most infectious thing you can wear...
Love it Cruising Mimi ❤️
If you haven't written a book yet you absolutely NEED to. I just found you on YT about a week ago and I'm watching every video I can find. You are such an insightful, graceful woman. Thank you for that 💗
Hello beautiful Schellea! 😀 I love love love this video !!!😍😍😍
I felt really sad though when you talked about your own experience in the intro.

Great video. Just finished listening to whole video! Thanks! Your the best!
Thanks Cathy McVeigh! Have a fabulous day 🌸
What a wonderful video!
Thanks Curl Girl I really appreciate your comments. Build others up, one person at a time 🙂 ...Have a beautiful week ❤️
Snuppeline. Bless you!! What a kind thing to say. I truly appreciate that!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! 💝😌💝

I can say that I was in shock when I realized what was going on behind the scenes here in this space too...Definitely not what I expected...Im happy for you that you walked away with grace...sending you a big hug ❤

Hi Gabby Street! Your son will already be so proud of you...Our kids see our hearts first and our makeup and outfit second....If you practice with your makeup every day, you will get so good at it you will amaze yourself...Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕

The first person I tried this on said
"Have you been drinking?"
😂😂😂😂😂
Keryn Gasparini what happened was they sensed a little intimidation because you were becoming more confident.
😂😂😂

Everything you said can be summed up like this; smile, be nice and show respect. It really is that simple!

We are all a work in progress Denise Younger! ❤ Have a fabulous day 🌸
Thanks so much for this!
Love this!💖 So needed to hear it! Thank you for sharing!
Hi AK Bold! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great weekend 💕
Almost like your being announced!.. lol It shows you have confidence, gives you a chance to see the entire room and know were the fire exits are.. lol..
Thanks for taking the time to share your comment with us Carmen Parsons! Have a great day 🌈

You are amazing
Keep spreading the message
♥️
