Draven Ocklost that was a shield surf. The reason why it didnt land is because he unequipped it mid flip. The other times he went over the guardian was spinning and link did the backflip maneuver.

My favorite trick is to run up to a spear-wielding monster unarmed, then perfect block their strike (perfect block makes monsters drop spears, but not other weapons) and pick up the spear and kill them with it
i did a lot of these for shits and giggles when i started getting good at shield parrying and just messed with the tests of strength in every way possible. i think the only one i didn't do was the blue chu jelly thing
TBH i knew most of this doing a blind play thru on master mode made me learn tons of stuff the combat in BOTW is very simple with systems that u can combine and spent most of the 1st part of the game launching bokublins in any body of water i could find as at the start u lack decent weapons to deafeat a foe and they can basically 1 shot u every time
I can imagine the monk being like: “Wh- how did you- what?” “Just take the spirit orb and leave please, actually you know what? Take the entire shrine! I’m retiring.”
reminds me of an interesting combo i saw in a different video: attach a small balloon to a bomb, then use that silly leaf weapon to blow it toward the enemy base...

@@moss_on_a_tree also some armor needs certain types of chuchu jellies. I just farm the blue chuchus and then place the blue jelly near a fire to turn it into red jelly. Same with the ice jelly.

You can parry literally everything. The explosion attack that a lynel does, yep, parryable. I’ve done it before. The only thing you can’t parry are those rocks that come out of no where near cliffs
Actually, you can't because the laser gets faster and faster to the point where the endlag of the parry makes it so that you won't be able to parry the next laser in time.
I actually thought, I had a really solid method of fighting these things. I was right, but I will never look at these fights again XD HOW ARE YOU EVEN REAL!?

i had to watch this several times to appreciate some of the tricks: right at the beginning he fires an ice arrow at the spot it will appear BEFORE it spawns, so it gets hit as soon as the battle begins. then he shoots an electric arrow at a metal plate on the floor, MAGNETIZING it so the enemy gets pulled onto it. then he drops "white chuchu jelly" on the floor to freeze it. i've NEVER seen ANY of those tricks before.
Hear this one: >I had no divine beasts yet >1 Knightsword >Some Boko weapons >1 Lizalbow >18 Shock Arrows >Full Climbing Gear (Lvl 1) I accidentally did a major shrine that was on an island near a cliff I quickly ran out of arrows and weapons when the Miniguardian was at half health. I had to finish the fight with remote bombs. Dodging was easy, but it just took me half an hour to beat it.
So when I saw you had 1 health left, I thought you somehow managed to break into a Strength Trial with the 1-hit Obliterator and just flex on a Guardian Scout. No this was an even more complicated flex.
After several shrines of paragliding up and attempting to drop attack them from the sky, watching him go up into a slo mo Bow Shot made me realize I've been doing it all wrong! Brilliant Video even more than a year later
That slow-mo bow shot trick is actually called "bullet time" it's used to shoot multiple enemies with the bow while you are falling. The slow mo effect helps you shoot more enemies because you fall slower, so you have enough time to shoot them. Just a little fact that i just wanted to say after seeing your comment.
The clacking sound of the robot, even the sound of link browsing and changing arsenal really complements the music..oddly satisfying. Plus at 0:57 they changed their weapon at the same time.
I don't know what bothers me more, the number of things you did that I never thought to try, the number of things you did that were for no reason other than flexing, or the fact that you just straight passed the chest without even opening it. What a legend

I don't think you can parry Guardians' beams with just any shield; IIRC it has to be an ancient one or it breaks after a single hit.
