Chewing students out like that is a dead giveaway you have a trash coach unless you’re an aggressive / unpredictable sparring partner. Even then he should have taken the time to teach you to spar safe. My current gym teaches everyone heel hooks and leg locks and has no issues because they know to how to show us to approach it & arent d**kheads who take bjj seriously
This is one of the easiest ways to injure an opponent accidentally, or on purpose if you’re a dick. If you do it to other low level belts and they try to roll or move out of it, or if you turn incorrectly you can shred someone’s knee. Not worth it to say you won a practice match.
As a white belt, you should not be doing this. It’s very easy to seriously injure somebody with a heel hook. You’re not experienced enough and should not be trying to injure your training partners.
I had a white belt in my academy go full on out with the heel hook and that fucker somehow Tore the dudes hamstring, ACL and Achilles tendon. (This dude was also going to compete before injuries)
I always appreciate the occasional instructional video. I hope there's more of these and the fight breakdown videos in the future.
Great technique! And I must say excellent cinematography and very well illustrated!
Thank you I really like jiu jitsu. In my mind it was, stand up, break their guard and get a knee bar or heel hook.
That is a Buck Diesel technique 🏆💯
Hows my coach gonna like me doing this as a white belt? Should i ask first?
as a white belt, definitely ask. I got chewed out from my coach for trying this during rolling without his permission.
he wont like it because then youll learn something and maybe stop paying him 😂
