@@Good.Fellers So 33 hours of work time, plus idling and whatever so it might be 50+. A plug-in test will tell it more precisely. Anyway, this is just breaking in for these saws. Thumb?
Long gone,lol
Lost thumb and pointer finger splitting wood some years ago
Wow! And you still cut like a pro! Amazing. Great videos!
@shedder1104 Thank you very much!
Board feet numbers are impressive but also irrelevant lol. How many work hours/gas tanks on the saw? That's the only thing that matters
Honestly know what of knowing
Maybe 7-10 min per 500 ft
@@Good.Fellers So 33 hours of work time, plus idling and whatever so it might be 50+. A plug-in test will tell it more precisely. Anyway, this is just breaking in for these saws. When I saw (hehe) those numbers and board feet, my mind went to chainsaw milling. My 881 is closing in to 1000 work hours and there's no wear on the piston skirts yet, and the cylinder looks as new with no scoring. Running 25:1 motul 800 offroad for milling and 33:1 for the rest of my saws, thats my secret after some costly issues at 50/40:1 with all kinds of oils.
@em4703 yeah if you can cut a million ft of timber with a saw. I call that great. There’s wear and tear besides the motor, that can be a big concern. Av mounts etc.
@@Good.Fellers Yea, true. To be fair my 881 is on the mill 99% of the time, and its quite easy to rack workhours doing that.
Sure, what I'm saying is I've never had to shorten a pipe on a Stihl dude
Ok, dude.
@@Good.FellersYou're welcome buddy. There are many Stihl dealers in your area, check em out buddy.
Honestly, I don’t plan on running a stihl saw. 500i is cute but it’s not for me.
The 170 is pretty awesome too ...
170, are you cutting kindling.
Aôoooo caboclo 🤠 bão
🤘
Its an awesome saw but stihl is a way to go
Why?
@@Good.Fellers worked with various husqvarnas and stihls, stihl just feels better in every way for me
@berempamuk123 ok 👍
Doesnt sound as cool 😎 as a 395xp. More power and torque though.
I agree and it’s a lot lighter
It's decent, but it's not a 500i....
Not a similar saw.
If continuously cutting big timber 592 beats the 500i. I'll probably go 500i though due to the fact that I dont have much for large timber and its 3lb lighter
@chrispalmer6502 right on, I have no opinion of the 500i other then it’s not my cup of tea.
@@Good.Fellers if I had big timber it probably wouldn't be for me either. Just boils down to everyone's geographical area of what they are cutting
@chrispalmer6502 I think depends on your personal preference. We’re I come from loggers run 395’s or 592’s.
I have run Stihl professional model my whole life. I'm 62 and aways appreciate the advancements in forestry equipment. I ran a 592 xp last weekend. and im here to tell you that 592 xp is SWEET!!!. My 661 is almost a year old and pretty tired. Im replacing it soon. It won't be from Germany!
Awesome!!!
