Woooooooowww superb and awesome place to see my friend. Breathe taking scenery out there my friend. Keep it up and more lovely adventures vidz to come.
Thank you very much. That’s exciting to know that you’re going to Switzerland this summer. You will love that amazing Country. We have 9 more videos about Switzerland. We hope you can also subscribed if you haven’t yet. If you have already, many, many thanks. We do appreciate it.
Wow - so spectacular! I so want to visit Switzerland. The Lauterbrunnen area is on my travel plans for some year 👍 Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend 😀
Switzerland mountain is a classic tourist draw that remain consistently popular after all these years.💖 When will I ever get to see the Swiss Alps? *sigh* Thanks for showing us the beauty of Switzerland💖💖💖
Your blog is very enjoyable. Thanks for making these. We were being discouraged to follow the CLOY from Interlaken to lake Brienz and to Sigriswil because of too many people. We are a group of seniors planning to follow the CLOY sites. From Lucerne we plan to take the boat to the pier at lake Brienz. Any advice ? After that we will be winging it to the suspension bridge. Need advice on bus numbers etc. Thanks
what month are you going? have you book already? If you haven't yet, staying in interlaken is recommended because Lucerne to Iseltwald takes 2 hours and has train and bus changes. too much. and it will be farther away to Sigriswil. and also it you want to go to First another film location featured here in my video, interlaken is also a good home base. You just have to go to these film locations very early. when we went there in March it was quieter since we went there early. How many days will you be in Lucerne, because you can take a day trip from Lucerne to Lake Lungern another CLOY film location there final episode. You can watch my Vlog about Lucerne since it explores Lake Lungern too. If you have already booked Lucerne, then you can take the train to Brienz for an hour and 30 minute, and depending on the time there's also train then change to bus. so obviously choose one with only a train with early departure, then take the boat cruise and drop off to iseltwald. This boat cruise is not open throughout the year. it was still not operating in March. But the boat cruise in lake Thun is open all year long. this will take you to Lake lungern.
Hi Lucila, thank you for asking. It was only offered during the ski season. We bought the Swiss Pass while still in the US, then at the train station in Interlaken West, we just asked the ticket office personnel for the best value ticket for our particular itinerary for that day (from Grindelwald to First, and from Murren to Schilthorn) so they offered us that day pass ticket for skiers, Sorry I forgot the exact name. They all are very helpful, and they print out your travel timetable if you don’t have the SBB mobile app. At this time they have summer passes I believe. Check out jungfrau.ch and schilthorn.ch The hotel front desk personnel will also tell you a detailed explanation of the best option for your Jungfrau region train, bus or boat trips. The hotel will also give you a free ticket for unlimited travel within the Interlaken area.
thank you for asking. The Swiss Pass covers 100% train, bus and boat ride anywhere in Switzerland, except those glacier and Bernini express. But as you go higher up in the Alps or Jungfrau region, it will only cover 50% or 25%, like going to the Top of Europe or Jungfrauyoch, the Swiss Pass will only cover 25%, the same thing with the gondola ride from Grindelwald Terminal to Mannlichen and cable car to Wengen, and from Firstbahn to First. and Swiss Pass does not cover from Murren to Schilthorn. However the workers at the Train station will suggest a better way where you can save. So for us, instead of using the Swiss Pass from Grindelwald to First, and Grindelwald to Mannlichen, and cable car to Wengen from Mannlichen, and Lauterbrunnen to Murren, the ticket office personnel offered us a day pass for skiers which can also be used for tourist. This one we were able to save more than the Swiss Pass when taking the train gondolas, and cable cars in the Jungfrau region. The hotel front desk will also explain to you the different day passes that they offer for that particular month or season you are going, I have another video called The Top of Europe published prior to this Schilthorn video, where I also explained The Swiss Pass and the pass that they offered, including the day pass.
Awesome video. Very helpful! :) We will be going to switzerland on dec and will take a day tour trip in grindelwald and iseltwald. Do you think its doable?
Sus! Cayoy, nag lingkod lingkod jud ko dinha pero si Hazel nahanilin sa second level Kay nag ear infection ...sakit dunggan😂good thing, naay clinic and she was given some meds. Very nice Swiss Alps.♥️👍
Mao ba Mommyette! high altitude naman gud. Nag high altitude sickness pud amo kauban ug si Lino nag slight short of breath pud. pero ikaw relax2x ra gyud ha😀 when is your next Europe trip? thank you for watching🙏🏼❤️
thank you for watching and for your questions. We have the 8 day Swiss Pass which is unlimited travel by train, bus, boat within Switzerland. However, the price for the following will be discounted if you have the Swiss Pass: 1. the gondola ride to First Grindelwald, 2. Grindelwald-Mannlichen gondola, 3. Wengen-Mannlichen cable car, 4. top of Europe, and if I was not mistaken the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Murren. and Murren to Schilthorn is not covered by the Swiss Pass. They have other passes like the Jungfrau 3 day pass, there is also the winter day pass for skiers. check out the website jungfrau.ch for more details.
it's hard to choose just one, but if I have to choose only one, I would go to the Top of Europe or Jungfrauyoch. I have a video for that. thank you for watching,
Thank you for your question. When we went in March they had the Jungfrau region ski pass which was valid for the entire jungfrau ski region area. Depending on how many days, I purchased a one day pass which was 75 swiss franc per person if I was not mistaken for adults from age 20- age 61. seniors and youth and children are less than that. you can visit jungfrau.ch for more info.
@@SookieTraveller so sorry for the late reply, but all cable cars and gondolas above Grindelwald and above Lauterbrunnen except the cable cars to Schilthorn.
yes all in one day, we have the Swiss pass but for this particular day we use the ski day pass since the Swiss Pass will not cover the rides above Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen such as the gondola to the First, and to Grindelwald-Mannlichenn gondola, Wengen-mannlichen funicular, and the funicular from Lauterbrunnen to Murren and funicular to Schilthorn. since they don't have the ski pass obviously in Summer or Fall, it's probably the Jungfrau Pass for unlimited travel to the Jungfrau region for one day or two days or three days if I was not mistaken.
Hi po, we are also planning to buy 8 days stp, just want to ask can we buy the day pass on the day before going to the mountain? Is the day pass also valid in Top of Europe?
hi there, thank you for asking. yes you can buy the day pass on the day you will be going. It usually includes the Top of Europe, but just ask the ticketing personnel to confirm. they are very helpful, and they will answer all your questions.
thank you very much for watching, and for your question. unfortunately, there's not much options when the cable car is closed, probably hiking but it is a long 3 hours or more strenuous hike probably, not so sure aobut it, and I haven't researched about the route. however, I have heard that if there is a lot of snow the Grindelwald First and Grindelwald Grund-Mannlichen bahn are in operation. But since you want to know way ahead in advance, check JUNGFRAU.CH because every year the opening for the Cliff walk at First can vary like in 2019 it opened from 30 Nov 2019-Oct 2020. but with or without snow, you can visit Harder Kulm which I believe will still be open until close to the end of November. and the Jungfraujoch,. You can just walk around the town of Grindelwald, Wengen, and Murren. Happy planning for your switzerland trip.
this was in March. March still has chances of snow, and not just showers, but yeah fortunately for 9 days, it was Sunny, and the temperature was nice. thank you for watching.
