Please make more of theses!!!! This helped me more than any other video you ever made!(the other ones were amazing too this was just more personal and real!)🇵🇷
This is really good for learning new vocab for someone who considers them self conversational please more of these I been learning Spanish two and a half years I’m done going through all the grammar and I really wanna just learn words and Puerto Rican Spanish , all my PR friends say I speak more Mexican and I get a lot of “ we don’t say it like that or we don’t use that word” por favor mas videos así , yo soy árabe y español es mi tercera idioma
Cooking was something I shared with my dad, and since he passed I’ve been learning Spanish (his native language). You welcoming us into your kitchen makes me smile and brings back memories. Thank you!
Thanks for posting this! It's interesting to see another way. I grew up seeing my Mexican aunt make arroz con gandules for her Puerto Rican husband. I think his mom showed her. She sautés the rice in oil first, until it's all toasted, and then stirs in the seasonings. Last, she adds the water and beans. I make it from time to time but I completely rely on Goya; canned beans, jar of premade sofrito, and Sazón. I'd like to step it up a notch and make homemade sofrito, it's healthier too. I really like your icecube tray trick. I'll find a sofrito recipe online, since you're keeping yours locked up tight. 😉
When making arroz con gandules your liquid ( water) ratios are CRUCIAL! That can’t be stressed enough. Account for all the liquid, from the beans, sofrito, ham, etc. and don’t over sazon it either. If you wanna be old school bout it toast the annatto seeds in oil. 4:32 facts
Been watching and learning from your channel for years now. I’m Puerto Rican and lost my spanish from when I was a kid because in California, English took over and now I’m relearning. My husband is Guatemalan and we have a baby now and we usually speak English but I want my son to be bilingual but not sure how to teach 2 languages at the same time. Any suggestions?
Yo quiero cocinar con esto hombre, y bebemos cerveza (I tried saying “I want to cook with this man/dude, and we drink beer”) Also I know he says he’s vegetarian, I haven’t watched the whole video yet so idk if he mentioned not drinking, forgive me if you don’t drink
This is so much better than having to sit in a class and this is better than language reactor
