I love the fact that they turned the fact that they designed an unbalanced and broken weapon in the first game into an absolutely epic plot point where you draw this completely unassuming pistol and hold it up like some kind of holy instrument of vengeance and then go on and murder rampage where you're utterly unstoppable
One of the best points in the campaign. You're literally unstoppable.
I love seeing this moment in playthroughs, you can tell who is new to the franchise and who is a TF1 veteran from facial expressions alone LMAO
Its a REALLY good writing technique too for a video game. If you compare gameplay in first chapter with the Last chalter you can see the difference night and day. It shows the character development Jack went through with him being a simple grunt at first to becoming an unstoppable force by the end. Also the real gauntlet section is so beautiful.

I think the best way to explain why the smart pistol was given at the last moment is because it is great against grunts, but not great against other pilots that are probably inside their titans. So, it is better to give the pilot a smart pistol as an emergency as it can only be used as a last stand or escape.
I always assumed it was to expensive to use. Like millions of dollars per bullet expensive.
@@Brandonious15987 Smart Pistols likely have advanced on-board computers and ammunition that can't be easily or cheaply mass produced, and they seem to require a pilot's helmet to even function. With the IMC starting to become exhausted by the events of Titanfall 2, and the Militia not having the factories necessary to produce more, they likely had to reserve it to survival kits or other one-man scenarios.
I swear, Wendy's just saw an argument with Light and L, and Misa doesn't even what's on a fast food menu.
I wish Jack would join the Apex Games. Just so he can stomp on the Apex Legends cast and show them how a *REAL* Pilot fights.
No ult ability, just a pilot. He should have to fight on solo squads only.

Probably do it for fan service and nostalgia. Also he doesn’t technically have it. Blisk left it on top of BT’s Chasis and Cooper never bothered to pick it up. It just fell off the chasis when he stood up and was presumably destroyed when Cooper and BT destroyed the superweapon.

As much as I loved Overwatch back in 2016, I spent too much time with it. That same year gave us gems like Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. Only got into Titanfall 2 this weekend during a LAN party. Wish I would've played it sooner
It was glorious, too glorious and almost failed a year of school, but glorious non the less
I hope, that one day we will finally witness Titanfall in its well-deserved fame. This is one of few FPS games that i keep playing, it is such a unique masterpiece
