@@prajaktlade not really! All those wild tackles on him like they wanted to chop his legs off was the reason he got injured so many times. Those turns probably weakened his knees but not that much!
Talk about pace, In his "peak" he was absolutely fast, faster than anybody else on the pitch. Even with bad knees (2002 onwards) and health conditions that made him losing his rapid pace and forced him to change his style of play by relying more on his clinical finishing, he was still fast. To me, there's only one Ronaldo and he came from Brazil.
At the age of 21: Ronaldo scored 152 goals in 163 matches Cristiano scored 42 goals in 184 matches Ronaldo already won a Ballon d'Or at 21 yrs 4 months. 1 Copa America and 1 World Cup (even though he made no appearance in that tournament.) This quick display of stats speaks volumes (its just a supplement to the fact that he is the best, not a primary comparison method.)
Ronaldo the phenomeno was a freak of nature. 183cm 80 kgms from 17 years old till 23 when he got injured badly the first time. Speed 99 Stamina 99 Physique 99 Technique 99 Creativity 99 Dribbling 99 Shoot 99 Power 99 Headers 90 He had 90% + percentage in shooting penalties, and he has many free kicks goals also. One of a kind player. He is the only player I saw in my life time that every time he got the ball he was heading directly to the opponents goal post without any hesitation and tremendous speed!
The owner of Torque, it's amazing how you can see him dueling against opponents on any side of the field, running with the ball at his feet, imposing his own laws on the scorers. This guy had the greatest field presence I've ever seen, especially after his return in 2002.
If you were opposing team fan you start sweating as soon as he gets the ball, turns towards goal and starts running even when he's near the center of the field. He was the most feared player ever. This is coming from Milan's fan.
Yeah that turn + sprint was deadly af. Cant believe legendary defenders got caught by it like a bunch of amateurs but that what makes him phenomenal. He makes legends looks like a fool.
The fitness trainer he had while at Inter said his 60m sprints were 6.2 - 6.5 seconds (36 km/h) At Madrid his 60 sec sprints were around 7.5 - 7.8 (31km/h)
I totally understand how people would think the numbers are fake or lies. However from my memories of his entire career to the many videos of TH-cam.. NEVER EVER have I seen the acceleration that R9 had in particular when he first went to Barca. Kaka also said that when the Brazilian team trained for the World Cup none of them could beat Ronaldo in sprints.
I remember a game vs Valencia when he was playing for Barca, when he scored the hatrick, he was fouled or tackled first..down to the ground, but then get back up and dribble past 4 defenders(without losing the fcking ball)...the last defender tried to bodied him but he didn't fall down....and scored. goddem.
And they mention Cristiano and Messi 😂. Ronaldo won basically EVERYTHING apart from champions league before 21 in the hardest era. That there alone is scary
R9's top speed was very good but there are other players with top speed at that level, the secret is his acceleration. R9 can burn you in two or three strides.
@@ivocoelho6588 Not a chance Kaka is touching him at top speed , Kakas great ability was there wasn’t much difference between his top speed with or without the ball but in a 100m race a prime Ronaldo would burn Kaka .
@@leolare I think Messi is better than the others, simply because Messi is so good, in so much. R9 and Maradona are all time dribblers Ronaldinho, R9, Maradona and Neymar are all time technicians Laudrup, Xavi, De Bruyne (yes he is recent but his skill is undeniable) are all time creators Pirlo, Xavi, Scholes are all time passers Juninho, Beckham, Mihajlovic are all time dead ball specialists CR7, Müller, Pele, Puskas, Romario, these were all time goalscorers. I say Messi simply because he is all time in everything. Take the last decade for example. People see Messi and Ronaldo (CR7) as goalscorers, so it's no surprise they were the most prolific in 2010-2020. However, people don't also realise that Messi created more than anyone else, assisted more than anyone else, scored freekicks more than anyone else, passed better than *almost* everyone else (through balls, short-quick, long balls, all of it). The argument for Messi is that, he is simply amongst the best of all time in so many categories. All these other major players mentioned excelled in one, maybe even two or three things, but Messi is so proficient, and so prolific in almost all aspects of the offensive game. That's the difference. R9 could pass well, but not 'amongst the best in football history', well. Laudrup could score, but not at a high level level. Pele and Romario had great control and technique, but not the highest level, i.e. technique on the ball like R10, Messi or Neymar. Messi is the odd one out, because I have never seen this combination of being amongst the best in football history, in: Goals scored Finishing ability (not always directly correlated to number of goals scored) Passing ability Assists Vision - through balls etc. Creativity on the ball - ability improvise and create a goalscoring chance out of seemingly nothing Strike Technique - linked to finishing and passing ability, this is just the way in which the player strikes the ball. For example, amongst active players KDB and Messi have the best strike technqiue. Control - both controlling a ball to a dead spot, and controlling it on the move, and close control as part of the next category, which is Dribbling - not much needs to be said here for Messi, we all know. Tactical awareness - the impact a player has without necessarily having the ball at his feet. Off ball movement is up there with CR7, although people tend to miss it. All I'm saying here, to wrap it up is, Messi is amongst the best passers, playmakers, goalscorers, dribblers, technicians and finally dead ball specialists of all time. That's why I think he is the best. I have never seen that combination. R9 had the unusual combinations of being strong/stocky yet very skilled, and also being extremely fast yet controlled on the ball at the same time. But at the output end of it, this didn't equal absurd ability in every aspect of the game like Messi. R9 was rapid, could score at will, extremely skilled on the ball, but only passed well, created well - that is, he did it well, no doubt, but not " _amongst the best passers and creators in football history_ " well. That's what I mean. What do you think?

The owner of Torque, it's amazing how you can see him dueling against opponents on any side of the field, running with the ball at his feet, imposing his own laws on the scorers. This guy had the greatest field presence I've ever seen, especially after his return in 2002.
If you were opposing team fan you start sweating as soon as he gets the ball, turns towards goal and starts running even when he's near the center of the field. He was the most feared player ever. This is coming from Milan's fan.

The greatst footballer of all time in the world
What's amazing was his acceleration point. Reach his Max speed in about 2 second he started running. It's like he got some kind of overpowered engine.
The fitness trainer he had while at Inter said his 60m sprints were 6.2 - 6.5 seconds (36 km/h)
At Madrid his 60 sec sprints were around 7.5 - 7.8 (31km/h)
Can’t be 6.2 that would mean he is the fastest man to ever run 60 meters
haha 6.2 - the world record is 6.32.....
The trainer at Cruzeiro, his first club, said that he run 10.2 at 100m
@@allcorts5997 haha what an absolute pile of shit. 11.2 maybe.....
I remember a game vs Valencia when he was playing for Barca, when he scored the hatrick, he was fouled or tackled first..down to the ground, but then get back up and dribble past 4 defenders(without losing the fcking ball)...the last defender tried to bodied him but he didn't fall down....and scored. goddem.

Very good observation
Explosive pace and power from a standing start , no defender could live with him
His top speed was very good i agree.
But dribble speed and acceleration made huge impact
Exactly. I think kaka could beat him in top speed, but definitely not in acceleration from a start position.
@@ivocoelho6588 Not a chance Kaka is touching him at top speed , Kakas great ability was there wasn’t much difference between his top speed with or without the ball but in a 100m race a prime Ronaldo would burn Kaka .
I beleive that he is the best player ever in history (fast, skillful, accurate shooter)
I've been saying this for ever but people usually disagree and tell me Messi is better.
@@leolare
I think Messi is better than the others, simply because Messi is so good, in so much.
R9 and Maradona are all time dribblers
Ronaldinho, R9, Maradona and Neymar are all time technicians
Laudrup, Xavi, De Bruyne (yes he is recent but his skill is undeniable) are all time creators
Pirlo, Xavi, Scholes are all time passers
Juninho, Beckham, Mihajlovic are all time dead ball specialists
CR7, Müller, Pele, Puskas, Romario, these were all time goalscorers.
Messi is the odd one out, because I have never seen this combination of being amongst the best in football history, in:
Goals scored
Finishing ability (not always directly correlated to number of goals scored)
Passing ability
Assists
Vision - through balls etc.
Creativity on the ball - ability improvise and create a goalscoring chance out of seemingly nothing
Strike Technique - linked to finishing and passing ability, this is just the way in which the player strikes the ball. For example, amongst active players KDB and Messi have the best strike technqiue.
Control - both controlling a ball to a dead spot, and controlling it on the move, and close control as part of the next category, which is
Dribbling - not much needs to be said here for Messi, we all know.

Lio? Magnet and running at full speed. Conducting the ball while running for me is messi 1st and then a close 2nd between R9 and Maradona
But r9 is faster than Leo. R9 hits the ball slightly forward but still in control and that let’s him run faster. Messi has the ball glued to his feet, so that slightly reduces his speed.
