GW2 is the one game I keep coming back to, I love it (and that doesn't mean I like every aspect of it, but it's a part of me and my life that gave me a lot of power and made me face a lot of my problems)

I remember hearing this first time in The Grove while viewing a vista, such a magical place. Then hearing it again when purifying Orr almost brought a tear to my eye. And then hearing it with the lyrics after the personal story was over. So beautiful.
I hope they bring this back someday maybe at the very end of Guild Wars 2.

As a 7 year old GW2 player without interruptions and a super lover of this song (chills when it appears in the last missions), I have to say this is the best cover I've heard. Screams were in the perfect place, good orchestration, INCREDIBLE drumming and amazing atmosphere for an epic metal ballad. I'm in love with this.

Once long ago I was playing through GuildWars2 with an Order of Whispers character. In one of the later missions Zaitan taunted my character with the death of Lord Tibalt. I went berzerk, like never before or since. When I came-to it was somewhere in the after-victory stuff after defeating Zaitan. I had been so filled with rightious rage I did not recall the previous five or so hours, when I apparently gathered a party to enact vengenace upon the slayer of Tibalt...
That was seven years ago. I have not yet forgiven Zaitan.
More years have passed...still no forgiveness.
Nor should you! PS was one of the best storyline imo. I love what they did with the mentor storylines and the personal stakes with the BBEG. I, too, have had rage episodes at Elder Dragons for similar crimes. And this is the perfect song to rage at them with XDDD

Really great cover, I really like it. But I also wanted to say I played GW2 for almost a year now and I haven't knew that some GW1/GW2 soundtracks were composed by Jeremy Soule - the same composer who made OST for The Elder Scrolls games and Harry Potter games.

I remember hearing the original for the first time in the "credits"(for my very first gw2 toon ever) back before the first expansion, Heart of Thorns was released.... it brought tears to my eyes and every time I help new players through the end I always tell them to stay and listen to this song that plays for how beautiful it is and how well it went with all that you the player, as the Commander, went through facing the Elder Dragon Zhaitan...

Reminds me of a really dark time in my life when I lost someone very close to me this helped me through . Sure, it was a dog, but he saved my life and it just feels like he is still here hearing this song, even years later. A white and golden husky looked like a gold and white wolf with floppy ears . I lost him about eight years ago. Fond memories to say the least! Sounds sappy but he was amazing.
