@@DJtheEmoPirate Indeed. Like, I enjoy the fact that the song has a few different connections and ideas that players can draw from, especially as they go through the story. At first you might think this is the citizens of Eorzea asking why they must suffer this horrible fate? IE The Garlean's and their attempt to use Dalmude for conquest. Or that line "Mired by a plague of doubt, the land, she mourns" could be interpetrated as how the land suffers irreparable harm each and every time a Primal is summoned, corrupting not just the land, but the summoner themselves... sometimes... (honestly it seems a bit inconsistent as we saw with Shiva's followers and Ramu.) But now you realize that this is more referring to the Ascians, specifically the sundered souls of the Ascians who have been reborn time and time again, and made to suffer and strive, when in a past life they had everything they could want and more.
In typical "Answers' fashion, a few tears were shed. It's okay, they were definitely metal tears. My eyeballs are now rust. Worth it. Amazing cover and video.

In all honesty, I was scared when I clicked on this, Answer is one of the most important piece of music in my life. It means more to me than anything else. Final Fantasy XIV means more to me than any video games ever did. While I firmly believe that the original song just can never be replicated in emotion and meaning, this cover is magnificent. As a fan of metal and the original piece, I was not disappointed. It was well worth the 7 minutes watch.

So I just discovered this absolute gem on Skar's Spotify account. My brain literally exploded. Especially when I heard Kristin's voice. This is one of the most epic songs of any entertainment property or genre. FFXIV has so much amazing music its insane.
I have listened to the original time and again and each time it gets my emotions riled up. It means so much to me, this song. It reminds me of a simpler time, a time without the shadows in my life. The fact your version does the same just shows how serious you took this and the long wait (I don't know anymore when you first mentioned it) and it is everything I could have imagined, nay, it is more than I could have imagined. You got the perfect people onboard for this. And your vocals were over the top, I never heard you sing like this before (at least I can't think of any piece right now)
I just came from a very long day at work and saw this popping out in my recommendations. I consider this song to be untouchable and the best piece of music ever made for a video game. I had unrealistically high expectations. And holy damn. It shook me to my core. I knew from the very first few piano notes that this would be an experience. It would be disrespectful to call this only amazing. It was unbelievable, and if I didn't know the original, you could have told me that this cover was the original in the game and I would have believed it. You are a bunch of incredibly talented performers. Out of this world, I wasn't expecting that today. Thank you for that bundle of emotions !

I have some insight on the issue too so I would like to say some things you might benefit from: if you are in a very dark place you may feel that everything is static and you can't finđ the power to do anything - there are actually brief moments in there where your ability switches momentarily for the better. Notice these moments. When they occur, do anything, things you like or chores, just to keep yourself active. You may notice that your visits to the dark place become shorter. Sounds simple but can give you great results. Also, if you are into self-help stuff, Acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapy books provide practices that can be not just helpful for depression but also mind-opening in general. Brighter days for you.
Honestly the first minute with just Skar and the piano is my favorite part, it's absolutely beautiful. Such a good voice, such a good expression of emotion in voice and body language. Completely sold and drew me in to what he was singing, so captivating. The lyrics also fit FF16 so extremely well even though it wasn't written for it. Fantastically done! Begging somehow for a 7 minute length of that part Skar! Pleeasseee. It would make for such a good soundtrack for cinematic short of FF16!
I absolutely love your songs and covers but I had doubts that metal would do this justice. When you started singing I was already in tears, and when the song kicked in I was blown away. Bravo!

Final Fantasy has comnected lands and cultures in my case, i made friends from europe and we even met in real in my homeland in the middle east ,it did defeat the stigma and falshood spread by global news corps and bonded us as besties for life, each 1 of us an Azem the traveler with eyes and hearts unclouded by hate
Answers was the song I played over and over again for myself and my kiddo fighting n for his life in the NICU. It’s his favorite song being 2 almost 3and still recovering from it. I hum answers to him every night before he falls asleep if he’s able to that night. Thank you for making this cover.
Pure chills from listening to this! My gosh the five of you put so move love and passion into this cover and it really paid off. I've listened to so many covers of this song, but this one just hits so much harder. The biggest and most pleasant surprise was hearing Ariah and Bard ov Asgard lending their incredible vocal talents to the chorus. Hearing Myuu's vocals during the piano sections was really a treat! Of course, Skar and Kristen absolutely killed it on vocals. I love this cover and thank you to everyone who leant their time and talents to making this come to life!

This is such a transcendent piece. It continues to amaze me how they've been able to continually expand on this for 10 years, adding new context to the lyrics and making it so central to one of the best stories I have ever experienced in my life.
I'm convinced this song is impossible to make bad. I have listened to countless covers and not a single one is bad. But this one just hits so amazingly that it really deserves to be picked out of the crowd and praised for how well it handles such an amazing song.

This is a very special song when it comes to FFXIV, it endcapped two different eras of the game and it was the perfect song to do so. Sadly, the next era likely won't end with it because Bahamut and Venat are no longer important to the plot. Whatever comes next will be something completely new and we can only hope it ends on a song just as if not even _more_ epic.

Secondly for @mattwosrandomnoncontent I think that the song will remain to the first story arc of the game is a very good thing. I am sure we will hear snippets of it in the new story and we are all gonna crack when we do 😅 I personally wouldn’t want it to be reused and rather let’s get a new one and let that grow over the next story arc.
Much as I love Yoshi-P, I'd much rather hear what Soken would say, especially clearly being metalhead with the work he's done for the game with The Primals.

@@Ashgrom Don't forget he also listened to Husky's version of the EW Theme and hired Hyadain to do a new lyrical remix of Battle With the Four Fiends Forged In Crimson. Which was used as Rubicante's boss theme.
Holy crap, how is it that I'm 5 months late hearing this absolute masterpiece!? I've only started my own journey in FF14, and this song has been one of my favorites since my first time hearing it. And after hearing this one, I can say many manly tears were shed.

Amazing cover as expected. However, the unexpected star of the show for me was that piano arrangement. I'd love to see @Myuu release a stand alone piano solo of Answers.
My favorite was - I created a pugilist named So'Nuff was helped out by a more experienced player who created a toon named Leroy Green to run with me. :) - followed by the 10th anniversary message which came about a month after my best friend died, he was one of the die hard faithful who paid for ver. 1 and believed, believed so hard in the game.

I had such a good time with the game until Endwalker. Played it from 1.0 until about two patches ago, when I just couldn't condone the direction the game is going anymore. I hope Yoshi-P decides to reverse course before it's too late. Can definitely still appreciate the music, though. ;P And this cover? This is good stuff.
I have seen it live when the servers of 1.0 has shut down. It still give me shivers to hear it. It's such great song with powerfull and meaningfull lyrics. Stuff of legends.

@SkarProductions can't forget the secret goobbue mount. Once you saw Dalamud in the sky and the quest was open to obtain the goobbue it was like "oh, it's going to end. and soon." Felt like we were just watching the game die, and SE would just shut it down after that Glad that didn't come to pass, and instead we got a decade of highs and lows
This is an amazing cover 🥹 XIV is a game that I can never stop playing I loved Heavensward, Shadowbringers and Endwalker, Stormblood was ok but it’s the community that makes the game what it is, once again amazing cover guys 😃 My favourite moment too was in Elpis with Venat when she said had our journey been a good man that got me choked 🥹

Ok, so when I watched this at the premiere, I thought it absolutely rocked, but I was analyzing it too much to fully enjoy. But viewing it again today, my head just exploded, and I had to try really hard not to rock out in the office. This really is a masterpiece. The second verse especially gave me chills: the guitar lick in in the interlude; the way the chords and the vocals intertwined in perfect harmony; the way Skar went full throttle on the vocals, then Kristin bringing into the drop *smh*. Bravo, everyone. Thank you for putting so much love and skill into these covers. May you ever walk in the light of the Crystal.
It is simple, and not nearly as hard as he made it out to be. Did this a few times at O'hare as a new hire, and if i felt the plane was moving too fast for me, i could signal for them to slow down.

She can sing any genre. We will hear a lot from her in the future. I have followed happenings in metal for a few decades now - there has never been a female singer whose vocal versatility comes even close to Kristin's. Of course there are singers like Noora Louhimo and Alissa White-Gluz who are hard to beat in their own special areas, but if there is someone who can do all the things Kristin does and more, I would be grateful for the name.

::sits down, takes a deep quivering breath:: WOAH!!! Epic is such an inadequate word to describe just how fantastic this song turned out. Having followed Skar productions for almost 7 years now, it's been an amazing journey watching and listening to his craft improve and expand exponentially for so long. With this latest offering, we find him as an artist at the pinnacle of his prowess! This is where TH-cam truly shines as a platform. We get to see the creativity, collaboration, passion, and excitement of everybody involved in this masterpiece! Skar has never sounded more beautiful than when he sings the soft intro. Kristin Starkey of course just SOARS as usual, bringing her formidable vocal talents to bear with incredible flair and panache. Bardovasgard brings a welcome epic sense of power to the background vocals. Myuu works his magic on the piano and sets the scene wonderfully. Ariahmusica rounds out the background vocals quite nicely and adds a great balance and extra OOMPH to everything! If this is where Skar Productions ends 2023, can you just imagine where he's going to take us in 2024?!?!?

At first you might think this is the citizens of Eorzea asking why they must suffer this horrible fate? IE The Garlean's and their attempt to use Dalmude for conquest.
Or that line "Mired by a plague of doubt, the land, she mourns" could be interpetrated as how the land suffers irreparable harm each and every time a Primal is summoned, corrupting not just the land, but the summoner themselves... sometimes... (honestly it seems a bit inconsistent as we saw with Shiva's followers and Ramu.)
But now you realize that this is more referring to the Ascians, specifically the sundered souls of the Ascians who have been reborn time and time again, and made to suffer and strive, when in a past life they had everything they could want and more.
In typical "Answers' fashion, a few tears were shed. It's okay, they were definitely metal tears. My eyeballs are now rust. Worth it. Amazing cover and video.

In all honesty, I was scared when I clicked on this, Answer is one of the most important piece of music in my life. It means more to me than anything else. Final Fantasy XIV means more to me than any video games ever did. While I firmly believe that the original song just can never be replicated in emotion and meaning, this cover is magnificent. As a fan of metal and the original piece, I was not disappointed. It was well worth the 7 minutes watch.

So I just discovered this absolute gem on Skar's Spotify account. My brain literally exploded. Especially when I heard Kristin's voice. This is one of the most epic songs of any entertainment property or genre. FFXIV has so much amazing music its insane.
I have listened to the original time and again and each time it gets my emotions riled up. It means so much to me, this song. It reminds me of a simpler time, a time without the shadows in my life.
The fact your version does the same just shows how serious you took this and the long wait (I don't know anymore when you first mentioned it) and it is everything I could have imagined, nay, it is more than I could have imagined. You got the perfect people onboard for this.

Venat went through all we did and more. Endwalker was a masterpiece at tying all of FFXIV together.

I have some insight on the issue too so I would like to say some things you might benefit from: if you are in a very dark place you may feel that everything is static and you can't finđ the power to do anything - there are actually brief moments in there where your ability switches momentarily for the better. Notice these moments. When they occur, do anything, things you like or chores, just to keep yourself active. You may notice that your visits to the dark place become shorter. Sounds simple but can give you great results.
Also, if you are into self-help stuff, Acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapy books provide practices that can be not just helpful for depression but also mind-opening in general. Brighter days for you.

Honestly the first minute with just Skar and the piano is my favorite part, it's absolutely beautiful. Such a good voice, such a good expression of emotion in voice and body language. Completely sold and drew me in to what he was singing, so captivating. The lyrics also fit FF16 so extremely well even though it wasn't written for it. Fantastically done! Begging somehow for a 7 minute length of that part Skar! Pleeasseee. It would make for such a good soundtrack for cinematic short of FF16!

Pure chills from listening to this! My gosh the five of you put so move love and passion into this cover and it really paid off. I've listened to so many covers of this song, but this one just hits so much harder. The biggest and most pleasant surprise was hearing Ariah and Bard ov Asgard lending their incredible vocal talents to the chorus. Hearing Myuu's vocals during the piano sections was really a treat! This is such a transcendent piece. It continues to amaze me how they've been able to continually expand on this for 10 years, adding new context to the lyrics and making it so central to one of the best stories I have ever experienced in my life.
I'm convinced this song is impossible to make bad. I have listened to countless covers and not a single one is bad. But this one just hits so amazingly that it really deserves to be picked out of the crowd and praised for how well it handles such an amazing song.

This is a very special song when it comes to FFXIV, it endcapped two different eras of the game and it was the perfect song to do so. Sadly, the next era likely won't end with it because Bahamut and Venat are no longer important to the plot. Whatever comes next will be something completely new and we can only hope it ends on a song just as if not even _more_ epic.

Ok, so when I watched this at the premiere, I thought it absolutely rocked, but I was analyzing it too much to fully enjoy. But viewing it again today, my head just exploded, and I had to try really hard not to rock out in the office. This really is a masterpiece. The second verse especially gave me chills: the guitar lick in in the interlude; the way the chords and the vocals intertwined in perfect harmony; the way Skar went full throttle on the vocals, then Kristin bringing into the drop *smh*. It is simple, and not nearly as hard as he made it out to be. Did this a few times at O'hare as a new hire, and if i felt the plane was moving too fast for me, i could signal for them to slow down.

I have followed happenings in metal for a few decades now - there has never been a female singer whose vocal versatility comes even close to Kristin's. So this is about the 15th time I've listened to this song today... The tears man... it's just so good...
::sits down, takes a deep quivering breath:: WOAH!!! Epic is such an inadequate word to describe just how fantastic this song turned out. Having followed Skar productions for almost 7 years now, it's been an amazing journey watching and listening to his craft improve and expand exponentially for so long. With this latest offering, we find him as an artist at the pinnacle of his prowess! This is where TH-cam truly shines as a platform. We get to see the creativity, collaboration, passion, and excitement of everybody involved in this masterpiece! Skar has never sounded more beautiful than when he sings the soft intro. Kristin Starkey of course just SOARS as usual, bringing her formidable vocal talents to bear with incredible flair and panache. Bardovasgard brings a welcome epic sense of power to the background vocals. Myuu works his magic on the piano and sets the scene wonderfully. Ariahmusica rounds out the background vocals quite nicely and adds a great balance and extra OOMPH to everything! If this is where Skar Productions ends 2023, can you just imagine where he's going to take us in 2024?!?!?
