Im one month away from the one year anniversary of my husband and fellow warrior of light (and darkness) passing away. I played this song for him at his memorial, and everytime I hear it I think of him. I wish this version had existed so he could have heard it before he died. I introduced him to FFXIV in 2017 when we started dating and we played together for our entire relationship, but now I am starting a new journey in Dawntrail without him and I dont really know how to tbh. Thank you for this amazing cover, he would have loved it....

This song is basically what is in G'raha's heart come about from everything he has witnessed, everything he has seen you accomplish in BOTH TIMELINES. Don't forget, he woke up in a timeline in which we died. He read everything we did, how hard we fought, the fact we pushed through losing our friends one after the other, and at the end we died preventing the 8th calamity from totally destroying everything. Something that had me replay Shadowbringers 3 times to catch, The 'Exarch' pays attention to Alisaie specifically when she is interacting with you. His head follows her in a way it doesn't for the others. She died protecting the WoL from a fatal blow. She has a crush on the WoL that Krile and Y'shtola both tease her over (so does Ameliance later on if you do her custom deliveries, she blatantly wonders when you will marry her daughter and join the family if you are male...a comment she apparently does not make if you are female). The way it is worded was "The Valorous one dies in their love's arms on the battlefield." Her painting is known as 'the scion of valor' if you didn't do the content to unlock the Scion's paintings.

I love this song so much. The line "the sun will shine again" always make me tear up. Especially with all the depression metaphors in Endwalker. Not many other games have me as emotionally invested as FF14.
Seriously, I always thought this song kinda had the ringing of a Killswitch Engage song and this cover just supports that feeling, especially the guitar riff on the bridge. Absolutely amazing cover. 100/10

Amazing cover, close in the distance is a song i connect to on a personal level. At the time i was recovering from a serious injury and my free company at the time helped me the whole way through the second half of endwalker and supported me through the recovery and to hear the song as a metal cover hits different, i love metal music

This song, this game did things to me that made me fall in love with gaming again. The fact that FF14 is an RPG-MMO is incredible - its telling a story that you can experience with friends but because its story focused, you can share the highs and lows with everyone who experiences it for the first time and this song playing when it does in Endwalker is perfect, with all that's been lost, what you could lose should you fail but all that can be saved should you sucssed.
