  • Cleaning your DTF printer is the most important thing you can do to ensure it is operating properly. The capping station is just as important as the rest! Without a properly working capping station, your printer can not effectively perform cleans or print jobs.
This video will show my cleaning process as well as the products I use. All products are avialble at ssvcustomtrans...

I'm not sure how long to let the wetting solution set before parking the printheads over the capping station. I waited five minutes, but by the next morning, the capping station was bone dry.

You have to lift the waste line so it doesn't drain out.

Iftou put cleaner in the pad, can you pull from the waste line? If so it's not a clog. Could just be a bad capping stationyou need to replace. I have 1 in stock. Message me if you want it.

I had this same thing happen to me, but than I got it unclogged, but now my colors are barely coming thru. Done a few head cleans no white, no blue and very dull colors on the rest. Any ideas?

Hey I have a DTG pro printer as well....
I had a question. I had an issue where my motherboard had a short circuit... I had to get it replaced. In the meantime, i think inks have dried on my wiperblade & cartridge... The print head will now not lock in place.
Have you had a similar experience before? I am getting an error that it will not lock on WICRESET.

It is also the L1800 printer

That sounds like a cable isn't plugged correctly. Unless dried ink was totally coveringthe capping station and wiper it wouldn't cause the error. I would recheck all cables are plugged in correctly.

I'm thinking it is the encoder strip. I have some ink on it. Would it cause this issue?
The ink on the strip is exactly where the capping station is. The print head moves to around this position, wiggles back and forth, then just stops.
Also, thank you for the reply.@@ssvcustomtransfers

@outlaw4016 it could cause it. Turn off, unplug then gently clean the stip. Don't scrub. Very gently. If you scratch it it will have to replace.
