This performance was one of the best in history, the atmosphere and vibe might even be unmatched.
Absolutely the standard - a master class in Live Rock N Roll Concerts
best band ever!
Zeppelin is a blues rock band! Very evident in this song.
Quite simply the greatest rock band of all time
Thanks for doing my pick! Glad you enjoyed it and yes the blues is another side of Zeppelin and a very important one. It was really their starting point when they began in 1968. I was privileged to be at this Madison Square Garden show July 29, 1973. Lots more great Zeppelin to come!
I saw them in 1973 at MSG. They played three nights and I have no idea which night I attended. They filmed all three nights though. You have good taste.
Well then...I hate you +jealousy
I was only 10 🥲
Thanks for that suggestion. I was hoping they would react to some live Led Zeppelin, and that was one of the best choices.
I will envy you to the day i die...i was supposed to see them in Greensboro, NC for the "In Through the Outdoor Tour"...and we know what happened...what a great memory for you!! I am definitely jealous!!
Greatest Rock and Roll Band…. Ever!!!
The Rain Song is a beautiful masterpiece
Led Zeppelin the legendary band
BEST BAND EVER.
When the Levee breaks is a must and Kashmir both ranked in the top 20 songs of all time
Two of my favourite LZ songs.
You shook me babe Abert hall live 1970 a must
Eddie Van Halen said that Page plays live like a 2 year old with a broken hand. He also said that Randy Rhodes stole from him. I'd say that while Eddie was a world class guitarist, his fragile ego could not realize that there was better guitar players out there. He had to compensate with his mouth. Page is brilliant here. Every single Zeppelin song was different. With AC/DC hear one song and you have heard them all. With Led Zeppelin hear them all to hear them all.
Led Zeppelin is The Blues on steroids.
During the period, nobody could touch them. Robert Plant really looked the part of the ultimate rock god.
Brother and sister….you have barely scratched the surface of Led Zeppelin….they were very much about the blues…and putting their own stank on it…as well as rock….arguably the greatest blues-based rock band of all time!
*Psychedelic Blues. Led Zeppelin is for the ADVANCED music listener. 💥💥💥👍😎
Cerebral...all of it
This is why they where more than an Heavy Metal Band!
"Dazed and Confused" by Led Zeppelin is a must react to.
Live shows were fantastic in the 70’s
The GOATS
The blues is their customary sound
awww man i envy anyone who listens to this song for the first time...
Any guitar player that can make a basically 12 bar blues shuffle sound this good is a genius.
LZ has always been a blues band
The runs that Robert Plant is doing and Jimmy matching him on the guitar is one of my favorite things ever.
Yeah, amazing call and response.
The keyboard too, but its a little hard to hear in the mix. Lucky for me, I listen to all Zeppelin at 11. 😎😎
One could argue that ALL Zeppelin is blues, to a degree.
Greatest blues band I've ever heard!
So many great bands over the years ... no one better the led zeppelin
Been to hundreds of concerts. Saw Zep in 73 and 75. Nothing topped those shows. Yes, they are the GOATs.
Zeppelin is all about the Blues 💙
Led Zeppelin does not
plug in to amplifiers
Led Zeppelin
plugs in to your SOUL ❤
That's Dave Gilmour.
Saw them live in 1975 ,Long Beach Arena ,Calif. with my future wife and Bro all of us from Indiana. The most amazing concert I ever went to and there were several groups. Tickets were only $10.50 and they played a grueling 3 hours and 20 minutes. No pussy breaks, no auto tune, no dancing girls ,no extra members live. .just LED ZEPPELIN. Eat your hearts out Millenials. Proud to have been born in 1949. I saw it all as a teen and young adult, and rock bass player/.singer. Peace.
We did not get to see Zeppelin. We were over an hour out of Chicago and try to get tickets in Hicktown Rockford, IL back then For Zeppelin! And not having MTV or them on TV, ect, we never really even seen the band except on Album pictures.. Our love of Zeppelin was based soley on the music.
I wonderful what the kids today would do without TH-cam videos, phones, spotify, ect. And they had to base their liking of a band or singer on just the music alone. The music with auto tune, computerized instruments, some hack churning our the same sounding song for a dozen acts, fake music. Would they put up with it?
go to a concert without cellphones and having to sit there and watch the band in full. Would they, he or she be as exciting?
I'm late to the party with Led Zeppelin. I grew up on The Stones and The Beatles, lately ive started to appreciate how great a band they are, Robert Plant is up there with the best frontmen ive seen.
Blues with a tinge of rock!
Zeppelin was mostly Blues in the early days, but they didn't have a lane.
Studio version of this song outstanding then again everything they do is amazing
The blues and their take on it was what they were known for early on.
Just say it...GOAT!
Full emotion packed performance.
Zeppelin does blues but they always put their own twist on the form. In this case, they use a twist on the usual chord progression and it’s also a very unique and emotional turnaround. This was all played in a take in a studio on Zep III.
Have loved LZ since 1970
When I bought Led Zep 3 in 1970 ,and came to the second track, Since Ive Been Loving You, the 10th time round, I knew I had bought a fantastic album.
They do it ALL!! They are brilliant!
Blues ? Check out the entire 1st album . Best blues EVER . And Definately Tea For one . Get's totally overlooked . Just as good as this one .
This song is way better as a studio version!
No it isn't. This is just as great in its own way.
“ Dazed and Confused” ( studio version) , “ How Many More Times”, “ “ Heartbreaker”, “ The Lemon Song”, the list is very long guys. Lots more fun to be had on this journey with Led Zeppelin! Enjoying what you do so far. Best wishes from 🏴 England.
You Shook Me. Another incredible song. This is an amazing song of theirs. The catalog is so deep with quality and variety. Thanks for reacting to this.
Deeply rooted in blues. Much of their music are covers of the pioneers of blues.
Led Zeppelin - Dazed And Confused 1970 Royal Albert Hall is a must see.
This is my favorite version of this song! I remember when I was a young teen listening to the wall speaker radio/intercom and hearing the breaking news that John Bonham was dead, I was heartbroken.
Most of especially guitarists, in this genre, Page, Clapton, Richards, we’re heavily inflicted by American blues artists such as Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly.
Led Zeppelin "Kashmir" But must be the live version from Celebration Day Concert. Their last performance together. Iconic performance.
Led Zeppelin's last performance together was 1980.
John Bonham was already 27 years gone by the time they did that one off reunion concert with Jason in 2007.
Kashmir @ knebworth 1979 is on a different level th-cam.com/video/hW_WLxseq0o/w-d-xo.html
Great song but studio version first then do the live version.
Studio version! Is the consummate
Version. It will give me chills to this very Day!
Led Zeppelin are GOAT best band ever, I saw half of them back in 95 the page n plant tour, best damn concert I have ever seen
Great way to start our day .... Thanks❤
Look at "In My Time of Dying"...super cool song by Zep
This is my favorite version of this song which is awesome. Page is a very good blues player.
The best Blues Rock/Hard Rock concert ever, Led Zeppelin in Madison Square Garden, together with Allman Brothers at Filmore East and Deep Purple`s California Jam! And the best drummer ever John Bonham who passed away much too soon. Please do more of Zep!
I urge you to review the rest of this concert . Including the entire 26 minutes of Dazed and Confused.
You should try the studio version. Another incredible song is "Achilles Last Stand "
More led zeppelin please 😊
One thing you will find as you go through the Led Zeppelin catalogue is that they do not have a 'usual style'. They unashameably take inspiration from a wide variety of musical genres, but make each one their own
The Gods were with Zep on that night. Incredible and most likely the greatest live rock performance. Plant was on top with his vocal brilliance and strength. JPJ’s can’t be underrated or benign in how well it stays all together and provide the bass side along with this funeral organ vibe throughout. Bravo!! So good!!
Just never gets old, to me! "The Song Remains the Same" is STILL available on DVD. I would say it is a must own, but I may be biased. Thanks!!
Yes! There are so many bluesy Led Zeppelin songs! One of the greatest bands of all time. Each member is the GOAT in their respective areas.
When God's walked amongst us!!!
Does Led Zep do blues?
Pretty much their entire first album is blues rock covers of old blues songs, and they use the lyrics from such songs throughout their career.
Check out the studio version of this one.
People expanding their Led Zeppelin listenings past the radio tracks DO often seem surprised by the diversity of their discography- Led Zeppelin was never just one thing or one sound, but carried on the traditions of their blues and folk forefathers to create so many different sounds, spanning many genres. I would suggest watching this concert start to finish, it's incredible!
I may be in the minority...but I like the studio version more. The main reason is that epic solo. IMHO, Page's best.
Its different. I don't prefer one over the other. All their live versions were different. None identical.
I like them both. It depends in what mood I am. 😎😊
I agree with all three opinions, I definitely prefer the studio versions but I love watching the live performances. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
One of the reasons they are my all time favorite band, they have many different types of songs!
There is Led Zeppelin and there is everyone else. They are the best
Yes Zeppelin does blues, and they're one of the best to do it! For another great blues track from them check out Tea For One, it's a lesser known one from their last album but it's great nonetheless.
I was at that performance in the Garden. I still get chills every time I listen to it
Led Zeppelin IS blues, but at different speeds!
There’s so much variety is the brilliance of Zeppelin. Lots of Blues, along with Beauty…
Please react to: Song Remains the Same/Rain Song
Y’all will be blown away!
The roots of Led Zeppelin was The Blues, and they do play it well. This performance from the docu-movie, The Song Remains the Same, one of the best concert performances put on film.
Tea for one is Led Zeppelin at their best blues song 😊
I just love this song by Zeppelin. There is just no band like them. This video used to have audience reaction in it that was so fun to watch-not sure why it's been removed.
The audience reaction hasn’t been removed, this is a different video which was filmed on a different night. The other one is better in my opinion.
I think a lot of reactors are getting copyright problems with the original SRTS version that's in the movie. This different edit seems to be getting through.
no, same show, audience portions removed.

Has always been one of my favorite live songs of all time it just does it for me🎉❤
I have seen Led Zeppelin twice..Plant pure sex appeal. Page guitar God. Still my fav after all this time
I saw this entire movie (The Song Remains the Same) when it came to the theaters and saw them live in 1977 for just $11!. Incredible. So damn glad I was young then and grew up with this music! My 20 year old granddaughter loves them too!
The Song became a cult classic . We used to have midnight shows where it was a party , open bottles etc...
Sounds like a love song. I've been working at 7-11 every night and it kinda makes my life a drag. Lol. Great song.
When music was music and real musicians were involved.
Love Since I’ve Been Loving You!!!! My favorite, especially this version, saw them do this live, Incredible!!! Such talent, if you watch the movie or have ever seen them live, John Paul Jones playing bass with his feet and keyboards at the same time! There will never be musicians like that again! Plant’s voice is his instrument! Great stuff!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ RIP John Bonham!
For some better Zep (in my opinion) try: You Shook Me (also from their 1st album). And, I agree that this concert was awesome. It's the one they used to make the video; The Song Remains the Same. (Released in 1976.)
Jon Bonham’s drums… perfection.
Please listen to “When the Levee Breaks”. A cover of the 1929 song by Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy”. About the devastating 1927 Mississippi Flood. When he talks about how he sit on the levee and moaned, it’s about how nearby black plantation workers were forced at gunpoint to sit on the levee to keep it from breaking. (Like as if they could. It was basically a death sentence. A death by drowning.). It’s one of their most acclaimed songs. And a Delta Blues classic.
You should check out Nobody's Fault But Mine or In My Time of Dying will blow your mind by Zeppelin.
Firstly, as a long-term Zeppelin fan (45+ years), thank you for your minimal interruptions to this masterpiece - imho The GOAT by The GOAT. You might well want to go back and listen to the studio version from Led Zeppelin III (from the first few notes, you will be hooked), then come back and listen to this masterpiece again and realise why so many life long Zeppelin fans rate this above and beyond Stairway To Heaven. God Bless you and keep exploring. Have you listened yet, to the live version of Untitled #8 (Official Live Video), by Sigur Ros?...Try it Fullscreen, in the dark with headphones
The version I like of this song is off the studio album, Led Zeppelin 3.
There's LZ blues throughout their discography. It morphs just like their journey throughout their 10+ years together. This is my favorite LZ number and this performance!!! Page and Plant continued to do SIBLY during their tours together during the 90s - interesting to hear how it changed over 20 years. Great reaction. Thank you☮
70’s baby here, started getting into music about ‘78 , today’s artists are not required to have the same level of talent as musicians from this era. It’s almost two different genres even though it may be considered the same type of music from then to now
This concert, Queen in Montreal 81 and London Live Aid are 3 I wish I could have attended.
yes!! THIS is the one!! You two will FREAK! One of my ALL TIME favorite performances EVER--not just led zeppelin--. Such a masterclass
One of the greatest live performances, Since I’ve Been Loving You is sheer perfection. Robert Plant in his prime, what can one say 🔥
You should also give the album version a listen.
What's so hard to remember about Zeppelin is just how young they were when they got together...and just 5 years later in 1973 at this concert they 25 (Plant and Bonham) 29 (Page) 27 (John Paul Jones) were still very young......a testament to their uniquely talented and unquestionably brilliant power.
Thanks for reacting to this. I saw The Mighty Zeppelin at the Oakland Coliseum July 1977. Day On The Green. Incredible concert. It was their last North American concert. They flew to New Orleans after the show and Robert Plant got the dreaded phone call from the UK that his beloved 5 year old son Karac had passed away suddenly of an infection. This band no doubt is the greatest rock band of all time in the world. No one before, during or after has or ever will surpass this band and their music and prowess and studio and live work. The four band members were synced so well during their time together. Master musicians each and every one of them. Plant was an incredible vocalist and Page undoubtedly one of the greatest guitarist of all time. John Paul Jones was a master at Piano/Organ/Synthesizer and Mandolin among other instruments. John Bonham was the greatest drummer of all time.
Led Z is one of those bands that the more you listen to the more you realize how unique and amazingly talented they are. I knew the hits, have listened to them for many yrs but thanks to reaction vids like this one I have learned so much about so many bands/artists.
Great reaction vid.
I was there for all the shows.. first time I saw them was Fillmore East N.Y 1969
I never had the chance, but ever since they put out their first album,I've been buying their albums.
Wasn't that gig,the first in their American tour?
was a bit surprised to find you have not reacted to Gallows Pole ....such a lovely little tale of the hangman!!
