faouzia is Moroccan and was raised in canada. she uses a lot of Moroccan influence in her song such as melismas which other people might mistake for yoddles. the last note of the song reflects that, her songs desert rose, dont call me im pretty, rip love and elon reflects that Moroccan side of her.

I've never heard of this artist but Fur Elise is on of my favorite compositions. Never heard vocals with it before. Cool

She should just do stuff like this, her vocals are the star, no need for the overproduced studio versions.
the overproduced studio versions are what's gonna make her get her money, fame, status etc. she needs it! she can't just sing live that's not how the industry works but i agree her voice shines more when it's acoustic, stripped and live

She has a duet with John Legend of all people. She's pretty well known already, although like you I only found her out recently. Of the breakout stars of this generation I would say she is the one with the highest profile and most exposure Ashlena. The Social Media age is wierd, the musical space fragmented a lot so to be big is not the same thing as it was, I'm still introducing people to The Warning and they're already pretty huge. Faouzia is also an engineer, so the time dedicated to finishing Uni probably also reduced the number of gigs she did and consequently her exposure. Yes, she is a computer engineer too. She's so overachieving in life it's quite frankly ridiculous.
Another tip on the power vocalyst bandwagon is a russian artist that goes under the artistic name of Miravi. If you want to get in on that one she is happening now. Another strong deep powerful voice with immense songwriting talent. Sometimes I think we're entering a golden age of female vocalysts. Even Lara Fabian is back. She's almost canadian :D

Here are some recommendations for future reactions: "Tears of Gold," "Bad Dreams," "You Don't Even Know Me," etc. (in no particular order) just make sure to check out the stripped versions, there are so many more amazing songs but these 3 would be a great introduction to her music
