@@VIP-ow3ck I heard, she has a video where she sings absolutely without any digital processing and it is gorgeous. But on youtube, almost all of her uploads are pitch corrected or autotuned.
Great reaction. You cannot go wrong reacting to any of her songs but the stripped versions or live performances really let her voice shine. Faouzia is 23 years old born in Morocco and moved to a small town in Canada when she was 1 year old. She was an incredible singer at a very young age and is also very good at several instruments including the piano.
Hello! I stumbled upon a rather exciting development regarding Faouzia and am spreading the news to Faouzia fans that I have come to recognize in the comments of Faouzia reactions. Faouzia is competing in the Chinese Singer 2024 competition and you can already watch her episode 1 performance of "Crazy" (by Gnarls Barkley) if you search 'Faouzia Crazy Onetake' -- it's on the MangoTV TH-cam channel. I'd post a direct link here, but sometimes links are not allowed in comment sections and cause comments to never appear. If you have contact with other Faouzia fans, share the news with them!
Absolutely, welcome to the wonderful world of Faouzia's music! She is a fantastic writer, uses personal experiences to be her 'muse' for the songs. She's got such a richness to her voice and is self taught vocally, classically trained on piano, violin and I'm pretty sure guitar. She's not just putting all her 'eggs' in one basket as she is currently in university, she was studying computer engineering (not sure if she finished) but saw some say she's now studying psychology. One of her best (and favourites) is Tears of Gold (stripped version), some great covers are Middle Child by J. Cole and Blue by Eiffel 65. She will be a great 'new' artist to explore! Enjoy the rabbit hole!! Great reaction!! ❤❤❤
Faouzia is incredible and still underrated even though she is still so young. She writes almost all her own songs as well. I think she has potential to be one of the most influential artists out there. She does do a handful of covers and does a stunning cover of Desert Rose (Sting) where she sings both the English and Arabic parts.
Yes 👍🏽 you cannot go wrong with FAOUZIA …her vocal runs, melismas and scales are STUNNING. MY favorite by her is “SO LIE” and “ANYBODY ELSE” although my Sister who does not have my great taste in 🎼 loves her “LA LA LA” song. Her songs have lately included ARABIC SCALES and it’s incredible to listen to. She is not as well known as she should be. Love this Singer. Thank you for taking the time out to listen to FAOUZIA. 🎧🎼🤍🎶🙌🏽💐
LA LA LA! The melody is awesome alright! but it just a bit too short so it doesn't make much sense lyrically for the sake of dynamic rhythm. I don't know if you're referring to this song or the others in Arabic scale? but I think she's composed in what's known as the modern western scale, octatonic. Traditional Arabic sounds organized more by mode than by scale and they use 3/4 tones which allows for a variety of note combinations

Welcome to the Faouzia Stan Club haha. She is breath-taking in every song. If you haven't already - she has released a single with John Legend, called Minefields. For whatever reason, it wasn't a "big hit" and I honestly don't know why!
Thank you for reacting to our beautiful Moroccan Canadian song bird!!!! Her fan base is very passionate about Faouzia.... her voice... her catalogue of music and the way she carries herself with such class!!! You cannot go wrong with most of her stripped versions of her top songs.. but you have been warned.... it's a rabbit hole once you have discovered Faouzia..and her endless talent. I am sure people will give you so many recommendations of her music.. but she is also known for her killer cover songs too... like Middle Chiild by J Cole...or Sting's Desert Rose.. and even Starboy by The Weeknd and Daft Punk... To be fair... I would start with some of stripped songs.... like.... You Don't Even Know Me.... Tears Of Gold... This Mountain... and How It All Works Out. Then you could try some of her studio tracks like Puppet... RIP Love and her duet with John Legend... Mindfields. Cheers from Canada!! 🍁
It's interesting that you should react to Faouzia and Lara Fabian in such short order. I'm not sure many observers recognize the similarities these two "adopted Canadians" share. Faouzia and Lara share remarkable similarities in their musical training, vocal style, early successes, linguistic diversity, demeanor, and character. Despite a 30 year age difference, and coming from different backgrounds, both artists have made significant contributions to the music industry and continue to inspire audiences worldwide with their talent and single-minded passion for music. Both Faouzia and Lara have received extensive musical training. Faouzia, a Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter, began learning piano at the age of five and later mastered other instruments like violin and guitar. Lara Fabian, a Belgian-Canadian singer-songwriter, also had formal musical training from a young age, studying piano and voice. However, both artists have stated in interviews that they consider themselves songwriters first and each has said that they prefer classical music to pop. Faouzia gained early recognition for her talent when she competed in and won several music competitions. At 16 she won second place in "Canada's Walk of Fame Emerging Artist Mentorship Program". One year later she co-wrote the winning entry in the largest songwriting competition in the world, besting 16,000 other entries from 137 countries. Similarly, Lara Fabian's career took off at the age 18 after an impressive showing at the "Eurovision Song Contest" and followed that up with several "Félix Awards" in Canada. While having quite different voices, both artists possess powerful and emotive vocal styles characterized by their ability to convey deep emotions through their singing. Faouzia and Lara are known for their impressive vocal ranges and the ability to deliver soul-stirring performances. Both artists are linguistically diverse and have demonstrated their ability to sing in multiple languages. Faouzia sings fluently in English, French, and Arabic, reflecting her multicultural background. Lara Fabian is known for her proficiency in singing in French, English, Italian, Spanish, and several other languages, showcasing her versatility as a polyglot. Both Faouzia and Lara Fabian exude grace, poise, and humility in their demeanor and character. They are known for their dedication to their craft, passion for music, and their ability to connect with audiences on a deep emotional level through their performances. While Faouzia is relatively new to the music scene, she has quickly garnered attention for her distinctive voice and songwriting skills. She has leveraged social media to connect with audiences and her fans. Lara, on the other hand, has had a long and successful career spanning several decades, releasing numerous albums, touring extensively and earning international acclaim for her contributions to the music industry. By all accounts both artists are gracious and remain very accessible to their fans.
Faouzia is morroccan canadien songwriter singer piano player she use quarter tone that only in oriental music exist. Her vocal range fast run and vibrato are insanes. Stay safe
you forgot that she also plays violin but that's not the most known fact , i believe she only talks about it in one of her interviews but hey now you know !

I followed your suggestion this morning and I've started with "Fur Elise". As you once said, sometimes you just need to say WOW! or OMG! ☺️ What a voice! I'll continue the same journey as you. I am looking forward to keeping going on this new musical adventure. Thanks Saeed. Be well 👋
I really like this song and some of her other originals. Sometimes it feels like she blends in the R&B songs that were popular in the early 2000's with a more modern sound and Moroccan influence. For example in What a Woman
Great reaction! PLEASE do more reactions of her she's BRILLIAANT, She's Moroccan-Canadian and writes all her songs and in my opinion she's the greatest vocalist of this generation and I'm not just saying that cuz I like her music, her range and voice control is literally insane Here are some recommendations for future reactions: "You don't even know me," "Bad Dreams," "Tears of gold," etc. (in no particular order) just make sure to check out the stripped versions! There are so many more amazing songs but these 3 would be a great introduction to her music

Nice take from the lyrics point of view, not many analyzers do. Faouzia is an outstanding lyricist, majority overlook it. So bravo to u for pointing it out! the historian tell us that Fur Elise (means "For Elise" in German) is a lady that Beethoven was in love with and proposed to marry her in the same year he wrote the Bagatelle No. 25 (Fur Elise). emmm, she refused it. however, some historian say, her real name was Theresa, but others say is a Soprano named Elizabeth, which sang in his concerts. he used Elise to mask her real name. I think Soprano would only make sense to me, for Beethoven breathed & lived music. he would've chose a soprano lady over a beautiful housewife. So Faouzia wrote the lyrics from Beethoven mind, expressing his feelings with music instruments and notes...since that’s all he knew. Notice how she hums at 1:22 matching the sound of Cello. And Matching her voice to the piano notes at 4:34. And, notice how she squats down as she say “Goes Down your spine”. Also, spinning, dancing, happy, and at the end begging to say "Yes" to his proposal. There are more…she’s Genius! Faouzia was classically trained pianist & must have studied the history of that piece in school... I hope this little history help u appreciate Faouzia's lyrics that's associated to the story behind Fur Elise. Cheers 💜
She is a pure Alto singer but she can get very high notes easily, that sometimes I feel like ( m’i listening to a soprano) .. an d because Of her Arabic background she uses stunning riffs too .. Ps: always listen to her live performances they are way better than the studio versions..
