    Great video, thanks! Sorry to see the disappointment and frustration with the combine again.
    We stick around because we appreciate you and what you do. We share in the joy and the disappointment.
    Watching this on Thanksgiving morning though. Happy Thanksgiving!

    I have a feral mum that lives in my house. It happened because her two day old kittens needed my help and mum still wanted to raise them. She always HATED being inside, so she was like "LET MEOW OUT!!!!" Instead, I stuffed her into a cat carrier and closed the door on it. I took her to my office and showed her that I still had her kittens, then I gave them to her. She just turned over onto her side so they could nurse. I took the top of the carrier off and she just looked at me like "so THIS is why you did this to me!" That was in April of 2020. I promised her that once I was able to get her fixed, she could leave if she still wanted to. She finally got fixed in January 2021 (pandemic) but, she had never asked to leave. She is still here and loving the life she has now. She knows where the door is, but, she never goes there. She doesn't want to leave. When she sees me bringing some wet food for her to eat, she gets excited and meows at me. When I brought her home from being fixed, I uncovered the trap and she just looked at me and started meowing at me like she was saying "YAY!! I'M HOME!!!!!" The vet said she was very unhappy and scared there and absolutely feral. She walks up to me and rubs her face on my hand and just loves it when I give her attention. I'm the only one she trusts. She was a three year old totally feral cat when I brought her in.

    In general, rabbits are smaller and have shorter ears than hares. Rabbits prefer to hide, rather than run, from their enemies. Rabbits are born without fur and with closed eyes after a gestation period of 30-31 days. Hares, in contrast, are larger, they are born fully developed with fur and opened eyes after a gestation period of about 42 days. They are runners, preferring open-area habitats such as prairies

    • @mikeknowles8017
      @mikeknowles8017 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly. Also rabbits dig deep burrows while hares have their young in small impressions in the ground or hidden nesting spots. Most of what we have in the United States like cottontails, swamp rabbits, jackrabbits, and snowshoes are actually hares. There is a rabbit show as part of the Stock Show here every year and the variety of rabbits raised agriculturally is impressive. Those are real rabbits.

    I follow you because admire the way you deal with adversity and still get the job done. We all have to deal with issues and problems in our lives. Success comes from being proactive bot by accident .

    I bought a New Holland 195 box manure spreader earlier this year, it was delivered with a nicked shaft in the Apron drive gearbox which was leaking oil. As well as a seal on the tailgate installed backwards. The seal was repaired under warranty, gearbox started leaking from a soft plug about two months later due to the sealing area for the plug not being machined deep enough into the gearbox. Problem was remedied by the factory by spreading RTV silicone behind the soft plug inside the gearbox and over it on the outside. Now I am waiting on a replacement gearbox to be installed. Also had a wheel bearing go out due to weld spatter being left on the wheel seal running surface. Obviously my spreader is much less complex than your combine and there isn't even a fraction of monetary investment in it as your combine. But CNH quality doesn't appear to be going down the right path. Happy Thanksgiving!

    There is a song that goes, “Breathe, just breathe.” It’s hard to remember during difficult times. I hope non-farmers can appreciate the level of stress today’s farmers are under. Farming is, at best, a low margin business with so many variables that cannot be predicted or controlled. Millions of dollars invested in the operation to make things more efficient and reliable; still sometimes to no avail. I’m sitting here on a small Missouri Ozark hills family farm; in our family since 1845. I last helped Grandma pick corn some 60 years ago; picking the ears by hand and tossing into the wagon box. About a 10 acre creek bottom field. Unloaded the ears of corn with a scoop shovel into a small corn crib. Cut some of the stalks with a corn knife (machete) for cattle fodder. About the only thing to break was your body. Keep heart, take a breath, this too shall pass. I enjoy your videos; telling us your thoughts and explaining what is going on is so important for all of us couch farmers.

    How about prior to corn harvest 2024, you do a raffle that selects a few of your viewers to come out and pull the grain carts. When I was 14, I worked wheat harvest in Oklahoma and started off driving pulling the grain cart with a John Deere 4840. It was pretty easy.

    Cale, running the pit/augers/legs etc…, quality of grain ( weight and moisture) will change how you make those adjustments? Keep with the narrative, believe it or not get a lot of info out of your thought process. Hope your family has a great Thanksgiving day, prayers for your birthday Father.

    It appears that you aren't the only ones having problems with new red machines. In Australia we are in the middle of harvest and farmers ae not happy with the red colured machines as there is a lot of downtime due to faulty machinery.
    Even down under farmers are feeling your pain😢😢

    The entertainment value of harvest is great. Would like to learn about some more of the business management decisions that are made. Respectfully, 100% your business and not ours, but I’ve been trying to do research and I’m coming up empty handed. Example, what happens if a farmer only gets crop insurance on his non irrigated ground? Is that a thing? What does that do for an operating loan? Im required to have insurance on my house because there’s a mortgage so do operating loans work the same way? Probably not everybody, but I would like to learn more about that side of it. Great videos, keep it up and God bless

    First, I’m sorry for the loss of your father. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Second, I’m sorry for the troubles with your combine. Hopefully it’s a simple, cheap fix. And third, you and farmers like you put in so much work throughout the year, the least I can do is watch your videos and learn something. I find your videos to be informative and entertaining at the same time. Although, every time something breaks down, I feel your frustration and tend to get disappointed in the broken equipment as well.

  • @Dennismelnychuk
    @Dennismelnychuk 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Junk ! All this technology and testing these days that we pay for and the old 7720, 760, TR85, 118 Claas were way less problematic, if they did break you could fix it yourself and in the end the harvest was in the bin. I worked for NH from 85 to 97 full time and as the newer models came out in all colors the quality of steel, workmanship and design went down hill fast.
