Klaus is amazing!! I’m not the biggest Morrison fan, but I loved that story. I backed the Kickstarter to get the holiday slipcase hardcover of it. Young Justice is such a fun series. It came out years before the cartoon, but you’ll see a lot of stories and story elements that came from the comic that went into the cartoon. Wonder Woman Dead Earth was my first exposure to Daniel Warren Johnson. It’s phenomenal, and I have been devouring anything he puts out ever since.
Great video! You do need to buy the Catwoman omnibus if you’re a fan of Brubaker and Cooke. They did some really cool stuff with the character in their run. I hated Daredevil Shadowland when I bought the original single issues, but then I found the Omnibus for like $40 and reread it. It’s much better when read all together and now I’m so happy I own that book. 👍🏼
I’ll definitely try to get the Catwoman omnibus someday and it’ll be even funnier that when I do I’ll have people that will clip this portion of me saying I won’t get the cat women omnibus to give me a hard time the Internet never let you forget anything!
@@TBATBDarwin does a short Ed Bradley series of back up stories and the first four issues of the regular Catwoman run. Brubaker stays with the book until issue 37 which is all in the Omnibus.
I’ve wanted ego for a while!! Individual book reviews are so tough because on one hand I’m competing with everyone else who reviews the book individually to be fast but then I’m rushing through the book and not enjoying it. They also take a lot of time and tend to do the worst out of all my videos. Then the older the book gets the worse the review video tends to do. It got me in a bad cycle of trying to buy each new book feeling like I had to drop a review right away and then I wouldn’t even want to read the book as soon as I saw other people post their review videos first. I decided to focus more on reading for fun and less of feeling like I had to read each new book fast for a review. I was toying with a monthly reading recap series where each month I have one video where I do shorter reviews of all the books I read that month. But it’s tough. That’s one of the reasons Jordan and I started our second channel. So we can go much deeper into reviewing individual books.

If you curled up in a fetal position, you could totally hide behind that entire stack. A friend picked up John Byrne's Superman Man of Steel, Vol. 4 for me recently... seems that one, specifically, is becoming much harder to find as of late. I wonder if that volume was underproduced compared to the other three. Definitely grab the Catwoman omnibus. I've only read the first 2/3 of the book, but I think you'll enjoy it quite a bit. I never saw that Watchman boxed set until I saw that at my local Ollie's. Went home, looked it up, then went back four days later and they were all gone. Someone probably grabbed them to flip 'em on eBay. Unless Bunk secretly lives near me. 🤔
I just wish the spines were all the same color! I’ve actually wanted the box set for awhile and I couldn’t believe my luck when they went to an Ollie’s. The books are all oversized and beautiful!
Man, I can tell you haven't read Waid's Daredevil... All you said about it is wrong! But that's a good thing. It's as dark and brutal as everything that came before. It's awesome! You will have a great time with it.
Yes. Get Shadowland. It's not as good as Bendis, Brubaker or Waid's, but it's still quite good and it gives context for Waid's run. The ~20 issues written by Andy Diggle are very good. You can ignore the rest.
Amazing books here, you should start with Absolute Wonder Woman so we can read it together. Just a heads up, Brubaker didn't write Selena's Big Score, that was all Darwyn
Congrats on the haul! I would avoid Shadowlands. It’s not very good. I have not read it in years, but did read it when it was coming out and remember not enjoying it.
