What a great distro for playing old school DOS games under Raspberry Pi. Thanks for making this video and for explaining everything so nice and clear. :) I just love the passion and dedication that people like Carmelo contribute to the community. Will surely donate to his project once my Raspberry Pi arrives.
Carmelo is a brilliant man. Combian (C64), Dosbian, and even HW project called AmigaPi (although, the last I talked to him, AmigaPi is out of the picture until Pi availability improves. He predicts mid next year). Genius!
12:09 learned we can do kernel only "updates", see next line, and at 10:23 "sudo apt info raspberrypi-kernel" "sudo apt install raspberrypi-kernel, raspberrypi-sys-mods, raspberrypi-bootloader" quotes used to delimit, not needed on pi
This may be useful for those times you want to use all of that legacy software that you can't live without. In fact, I actually keep a copy of dosbox-x for this reason. My favourite and goto graphics program was made for win 3.1.
Nice video, thanks :) Yeah, I didn't work on Dosbian by very long time...Anyway, in these days I'm rebuilding from scratch Dosbian that with version 2 will bring Dosbox-X as main emulator. Check out my blog for updates ;) Cheers :))))
Pretty awesome. Wish this would boot into a Norton Commander kind of visual environment since not everyone wants to type DOS commands. Guess i'll wait for the next version since WIFI is a No No for me. Pretty interesting Distro that i'll definitely keep an eye on. My Pi3 so far is only used for Amibian so turning it into a little DosPi sounds pretty good.
Good video, all the best in 2023.
I love it! Happy #DOScember!

I type DIR and it doesn't show me additional space...
It didn't connect to Wi-Fi either.
