- I finally got the new single seat and cowl for my 2019 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and in this video I'm going to show you how to install it.

I inherited this exact bike (same year and color) from my brother who passed and he had both seats. I was debating switching from the double to single and now after seeing how simple it is I'll be switching ASAP the single looks so rad. Thanks for the vid!

I put a single seat on my Ice Queen too. I chose black instead of white thinking the black matched better with the frame and fenders. Both look nice though.
I’m going to paint everything over the winter so thought white was the best place to start.
@@BurtoniMotors I see you removed the mufflers. Do you think there will be any back pressure or engine wear issues with that? I put a set of TEC mufflers on mine and removed the baffles. It's plenty loud!

I bought mine in the Black Magic paint scheme but had the dealer swap the silver painted fenders for black ones. Also sprung for the solo saddle, fork gaiters, fly screen, and centre stand. Left the exhaust and mirrors stock. It is a stunning motorcycle.
What dealer did you buy it at? It's super nice that they switched out some of the parts! I've wanted to put the fork gaiters on my bike for a while.
@@BurtoniMotors Shail's Motorcyles in Langley BC. I payed full price for the machine in December to take advantage of a 500 dollar discount and they agreed to store the bike free of charge until the spring riding season. Can't say enough good things about this small family shop.
@@BurtoniMotors I payed to switch the parts; they are running a business after all. Great shop and they didn't charge to let it sit in the showroom for four months.

I have the same bike. Fitted the cowl too. What else I did is fit some black trim to the petrol tank. Its the stuff that just clips on. Once piece fit around the curves of the tank so no joins. It looks a bit cleaner with the trim on.

The shorter cowl makes the back look long. I wonder how it look without the mudguard or a shorter one
There's a rear-end, rounded, tubular replacement piece that can be fitted to the stock frame's two tubular horizontal members that extend-towards the back end.
Those two tubular frame members can simply be hacksawed-off, and the new end fitted. SINCE the frame is black, it's not some "big deal" to color-match!
Be-sure and look-into how you'd want to handle the tail light/signals/reflector/brake light situation. My opinion, for what little it's worth, is that the VERY-tiny replacement lighting that people often install are awfully-SMALL, purely from a SAFETY/VISIBILITY point of view, but they LOOK good.
What I think "SOMEONE" (hint, hint) needs to come-up with is a rear lighting fixture that can be larger, and integrated into the bottom quarter, or bottom third of the REAR COWLING.
That'd keep the single-seat/cowled look, but result in a bigger, better amount of rearward illumination. I totally "GET" your concern about the frame's looking overly-long, to some people's taste, though! He already HAS removed the excess rear mud guard.

I’m just as comfortable on that seat than the touring seat. I actually think it holds you better into the bike.
was there any weight loss with the new seat?
Truth be told, I don’t think there was much of a weight lost as foam in the two-person seat weighs basically nothing.

Yeah that gap over the rear tyre is just 🤮 I reckon maybe put a seat on there!🤣 I think it looks pretty good but the dual seat does look ok. Pity unlike Triumph they don’t have a cowl to just attach, then take off when 2 up!

For some reason I think the dual seat fills it better. And the dual seat looks like a single.
I think the rear fender messes things up. It’s too long and creates too much blank space.
Exactly. The single seat creates too much empty space with all that subframe extending out the back.
Still waiting for someone to get a decent tail tidy option on the market, because I'm not cutting and custom wiring lights myself.
Next project is to install a cowl for the headlight
