Hey Lambkin- I just want to say I really appreciate you as a Tekken teacher. You’ve been my primary resource to up my game as a Law main. I went from a really casual player only playing others at home since Tekken Tag, to playing onine with Tekken 8, and slowly becoming what I guess I might is a solid player. Don’t know if I would say I’m good… yet. But yeah, I like your overall humility (but having the appropriate ability to let that go when needed like when getting trolled🙂), and your engagement with your followers (like with the analyzing our gameplay). You have an easy going good vibe that helps the learning process go smoothly. I hope that’s not too gushy, but yeah I’m sincerely glad you’re making these videos, thanks!
@@jjensen1122 I really appreciate the kind words! It means a lot to me and it’s because of the gratitude and love I get in return that I keep doing it. 🫶🏻🐉
Needed to hear this. Hope I can take these words to heart though and apply it to my life. Struggling right now with my frustrations with Tekken. It's hard for me to let go of grudges and being salty. I need to let things go.
Love these kinda videos, would appreciate it if you made more like these types that help all general players instead of specific characters which I understand is still important
first time saw your video. everything u said is spot on with this crazy game. literally last 2 weeks had the same strings of thoughts and u put it extremely well. nice job man.
thanks for that clip, I remember watching DBZ years ago and just for that moment it felt like I was watching it for the first time which is something I wish I could do now. RIP Akira Toriyama
There’s actually a channel called “Manlet King” that has made the first few sagas of dragonball into feature length films. Very cool and an awesome way to consume them. He made one of the saiyan saga as well, you should check it out :)
thank you for this vid. this is something Ive been teachin ppl that be askin for tips and it feels good to hear someone else talk about this too! A positive mentality can make this community powerful af!
Loved the dragon ball z reference man. You have my eternal respect for that! Thank you for this video! I am Tekken King rn with my law. Time to become God of Destruction now.
I notice a lot of new players playing quick matches. I don't recommend that. Sometimes you'll be matched up with opponents up to 5+ times higher in ranking than you there. Losing makes them frustrated and quit the game. I recommend that you start by memorizing all the moves of your favorite character, rank up a few ranks in ranked matches, and after a couple of months you can play quick matches if you want.
The negativity already has brought down a couple of the top players in my community. I was strong enough to learn and persist in Tekken during dark times for the franchise (TTT2) so T8 is nothing, really. There are times where I just get frustrated and drop the game and invest myself somewhere else. But I eventually come back. Thanks for speaking about the mental aspect of Tekken, this is a highly under appreciated and undervalued subject that has so much importance to it and so many people care little about.
This is the perfect video for me in the perfect timing, i broke my controler and realised "tf am i doing getting so worked up when im supposed to learn and lose",tekken is quite difficult but really fun, ty for the vid
Hey lambkin I thx u so much for helping me with mental health and being a teacher to help me out with law ur the best ❤❤ i usally get so mad when I play againt high rank players and it just frustrates me so much but I sometimes manage to calm myself down
Very important video, glad you are able to teach the deep mindfulness of the game that casuals or even higher ranks dont see as clearly as legacy players.
In whatever I do in life that's hard or challenging, Tekken included, I always think to myself: My best is the best I can give. As long as I'm doing my best, I have no reason to feel angry or ashamed. I might not be the best tekken player in the world, but I can definitely be the best that I can. Also, if you're someone who is struggling to rank up higher in Tekken, just try and learn something new everyday. Doesn't matter if it's big or small. Train yourself punishing a certain move. Play on your weaker side for a few matches. Learn to sidestep a certain string. If you're a better player compared to yesterday, you're winning.
U just have to want it more than anyone else . it sounds simple , but its not. also what a lot of people dont understand , if u wanna go pro in tekken , u need to remember that online tekken and Lan tekken , are two diferent games literaly .
Nvr noticed that Goku admitted that vegeta was stronger than him… it’s crazy cus when Goku sees him again on planet namek.. he ends up being way stronger then vegeta
If i feel myself getting stressed with any new video game I will switch it off and play either streets of rage 2, golden axe or revenge of shinobi or any other classic. That chills me out every time.
I just wanna get out of blue hell and learn to time my gameplay and be able to see what opponent does. I feel like I will never get out of Fujin because I can't react fast enough
I agree with you regarding becoming a salty while playing Tekken... I am salty when delay frames and rollback frames favor a player who is using his/her secondary characters to rank up. And Kazuya players online.... IT SUCKS losing like this. I KI charge, and let them slaughter me.
I am a salty player for sure, especially since my controller disconnects frequently (which is my kryptonite). but my personal tip is: * DO NOT talk to yourself/the opponent during the match (verbally or mentally), just be present and shut that mind off. Analyze only. But if you do verbalize: * Compliment the other player in your thoughts frequently, appreciate what they do. * As soon as your thoughts are negative, even slightly leaning towards negative (like saying COME ON!) , just cut them off immediately. It will spiral out of control. * If these rules are broken you must get off the game for at least 1 hour. Remember, all your opponents are worthy to fight you and respectable for being in a position strong enough to fight you. Remind yourself of that even when spammed to death.
@@Lambkin-_- Thanks Lambkin! And thank you for bringing my Law up to Tekken king, you helped a lot! Best wishes and keep getting happier and healthier!
@@TekkenGeek8 against zafina is I just do b4 and 1+2 a lot because they interrupt many of her stances and they hit low enough that her stance evasion doesn’t matter. Then you just gotta read her low from tarantula stance and they all love to do the while running engager so I’ll just try and counter hit launch her with 1+2 if I can find the timing. Most of her stuff can be sidestepped left. It’s not necessarily an easy matchup but these should help a bit. I’m no expert on her tho this is just what I’ve had success with with
