Great analysis! Y'all earned a subscribe. I also think it may be necessary to say Black men (African - I'm Zambian), often have different body shapes. I ran track and field and while i a slim, I have a rounder/fuller butt and thicker thighs than would be expected for my size. Always makes buying off the rack difficult,

That is interesting, I have personally only seen side vents OTR. Anyhow I would only suggest side vents for city suits, and recommend that one only get a single vent if you are getting a more casual country suit/jacket. As I have understood it was originally made to accommodate horse riding.

Good video guys! Champagne should be served before the videos more often. 😂😂😂 Jackets must have vents, not a fan of non-vented jackets. Even though I own one.

The overcoat was originally designed for horse ridding. The middle split allows the coat to lay on the sides of the horse/legs.

Love your videos! Could you do a video on how to pull off a brown suit? I always wanted to get one after watching The Godfather, but I am hesitant on how to wear it or if it is still as usable as in the old days....

Overcoats were originally given a single vent in back, balanced with how the overcoat flaired in front, so that it would splay out over your legs while riding horseback. The way the coat flaired at the waist when cut like this also allowed easy access to a gentleman's pistol or sword.

Is it possible to take a suit jacket in in the waist if it has side vents? My tailor told me it would cause the vents to overlap more and not look right.

I'm a slim guy and I prefer a single vent. I like a simple look and this seems to fit it - seems less fussy.

Thanks Jon. You're a lucky guy. When single vents work they look good.

My man's tea was on the BRINK of escape, couldn't focus on what y'all were saying while watching your tea kiss the edge up your cup while talking with your hands 😅
(how has it been a YEAR and no one talked about this??)

Double vents in my opinion are more suitable in Europe. Double vents go back to the days of horse riding in the Middle Ages. In the US they introduced a more cheaper single vented suit. Double vents every time for me.

for the overcoat is fine for women especially Asians who like to wear on top. Indians and Chinese but its a light fabric not overcoat fabrics that we know men do.....

You don't want to use the expression " tea" when speaking as a gentleman or when referring to voluntering information. "Giving Tea" comes from the Black Gay/ drag queen/transexual scene in New York city. Made popular by black housewives reality TV. Only Gay men use that expression in America. Straight men do not use that expression " Tea" if you speak like that straight men will shy away from you . "Spill the beans" is the proper expression if you are talking about volunteering informations in the form of gossip. Watch out with these American expression y'all!!!😂😂😂😂
