I just think all of the works from Rachmaninoff’s Moment Musicaux are splendid, my guilty pleasure is no.4 ngl, but Lughansky’s interpretation of the 6 works is simply stellar
This is one of my favorite Rachmaninoff's Moments musicaux! 🤎 In my funeral, I would revive to hear this whole piece for the last time and then, goodbye cruel world! Haha.
@@scottdotjazzman I was introduced to him through his performance of the ever popular Moment in E minor. Never heard such nice phrasing on a piece like that.
At least, if you play this at my funeral, I won't have to hear it. Rach's most mind-numbingly tedious piece. I would choose death over having to listen to it for the rest of my life.
I don't agree, but he is surely one of the best pianists alive. He is like Zimmerman: everything he touches becomes gold, there are no bad performances from him.
@@Bohh574 I haven't seen a bad performance from him, true, not even an average one. I don't think anyone plays Rachmaninoff better, nor maybe Chopin. This is still the best performance I've ever seen of my favourite nocturne: th-cam.com/video/QHAo6v7cryI/w-d-xo.html Who's your favourite pianist?
Same key Also has the like transcendentness And also the melody is a sad melody despite being happy somehow so it makes a bittersweetness that is also in rach 2 (if you really listen to that last movements final version of that theme, you can really feel the sadness and bittersweetness despite it being so glorious) So yea whata a great observation they are pretty similar!

what’s playing at yours? might drop by
Rachmaninoff cello sonata
the curb your enthusiasm song, it'll start as my grave is lowered.
is this a threat lmao
I haven’t decided yet but told my wife I want some Bach, Beethoven and Brahms played by my best friend.
John Cage 4'33
I'll definitely play this at my funeral
At your own funeral!!! How???
😂

@@Populous3Tutorials HAHAHA
Playing this will be my funeral
lmao
It’s too hard, you either have funeral march or toccata and fugue in d minor.
You have to be an extraordinary man to have c major played at your funeral
iN siMpLiciTy Lay gReaTneSs
B-sharp major*
🤣
Well just let the 2nd Movement of the Eroica be played then. You'll get some 2 minutes of C-Major in the middle of it. ;)
This is one of Rachmaninoff’s hidden gems. Love this piece!!
Lugansky is also my favorite pianist, so this is perfect.
Lugansky is also one of mine favorite pianist too😍

ikr no6 is so magnificent

love your channel, let’s be friends
@nobody you are here?!? 👍👍
My goal in life is to be able to play this at my funeral.
ok lol
Luganksy's playing is so stunning for these pieces
Indeed. He is my favorite classical performer.
@@scottdotjazzman I was introduced to him through his performance of the ever popular Moment in E minor. Never heard such nice phrasing on a piece like that.
“Maestoso” is literally the perfect marking for this piece
If this isn’t played at my funeral, I’m not going !
Classic comment 👌
This would probably resurrect anyone who's funeral it was played at.
I won't be playing this at my funeral as I doubt I'll be able to play it any better dead, than alive.
This video triggered an almost yearlong obsession with this piece for me. Gee thanks. 😂❤
I'll be dropping my tears from heaven and all the people there will be crying in the rain, thinking of me...
yeah, over my dead body
Lugansky! He is so amazing.
At my funeral, I want a recording of the 2nd movement from Beethoven's 3rd piano concerto played.
C'est de circonstance !
I want the 3rd mvt of his 2nd piano concerto ❤️
I have this on my alarm 😄
Thanks for the invite. What's the date and time, please?
John Cage 4'33" is going to be playing at my funeral.
At least, if you play this at my funeral, I won't have to hear it. Rach's most mind-numbingly tedious piece. I would choose death over having to listen to it for the rest of my life.
Ugh WHYYYYYY
No one cares
Oh, sorry,..
we already requested Yakety Sax!
I was almost on that but Benny Hill has cornered the market.
Much too strident for a funeral. I just went to a funeral where a recording of the theme from A Summer Place was played.
I'm thinking "Blaze Away" from Reginald Dixon's recording. Just the thing as my coffin gets to the oven.
Messiaen's regards des anges
Lugansky is the greatest living pianist imho.

Very tormentors this peace of Rachmaninov for me…!!!!!!!
Just played it, came here to say it was effective.
Pero, ¿por qué? Si yo ya no la escuchar en mi funeral :'( Que me la dediquen estando yo vivo y no muerto 😏
I will rise from the dead to conduct Totentanz by Liszt
I want can can played at my funeral
sounds like you are having a party at ur funeral
That will awake the Dead.
❤️❤️❤️
I don't know why, but this reminds me the ending of his second piano concerto
Same key

Wasn’t written too long before the concerto
my funeral? Scriabin probably,. Fantasy in b minor.. sonata no 2..
Still prefer the Albinoni Adagio for a solemn funeral.

thanks for the feedback!!
only problem is, the cheap funeral pianist won't be able to play it...
At least I wouldn't be listening. (hopefully)
⚰️🎶
Same but Ruth Laredo's recording
no thanx for em. I do like it, but never for my funaral. i feel like someone slaps me with me mud
When is the funeral? I'll have to start practicing
how do you even pedal for this!?
A bit too heavy.......how about "Pop Goes the Weasel"?
Similar but think I might prefer Rach's Op 32 no 13 at my funeral: th-cam.com/video/nrrWp_yUC7w/w-d-xo.html
Too many notes for my liking.
Really? Try more sober-Rachm., 2nd conc., 2nd piece
I take the chopin version…
I think this musical selection is highly inappropriate for anyone's funeral.
Not bad for a 20th century composer …
The sheet music looks nice.
The sound it makes.... not so much.
