this was an incredible story to share with the world. Cody is right, we don't know what tomorrow will bring or if we'll even see it; as Oogway put it "the future is uncertain, yesterday is history, and today is a gift, that is why it is called a present!" I my self have not been living my life on the straight and narrow as well as I should, or could, but I am still blessed that I can wrestle with god one more time everyday and every time I get up in the morning.

I'm 74 now it's been many years since I've hunted elk. I also have relatives who have MS. So I know a little of what the Austin family is going through. I'll be sure to say a prayer for them. I only bow hunted never got a nice bull like that one. Think it's great he was blessed with such a beautiful animal.

Very cool and inspiring. I take it for granted being able to hunt elk every year in my state. To see someone on their dream elk hunt brings back those days of being a beginner hunter and not being able to sleep the night before opening day because of being so excited. Never stop hunting

Great story, beautiful video and fantastic elk!!! I was recently on a guided bear hunt in Maine and one of the other hunters was heading to WY right afterward for an elk hunt. Me, having just retired I asked him if he wasn't a bit shy about spending the money for a second guided hunt so soon. He answered me saying that "...we don't know how long we're gonna be here, so why wait..." I took his advice thinking (like Cody), and booked a Colorado elk hunt when I returned home. Fingers crossed. Congrats Cody!!

What a beautiful moment that you both will remember forever. I went on my first elk hunt with my dad this September. I feel you Cody, after surviving kidney cancer and a gunshot wound (39 years as a cop) my son and I went on a life time hunt to Maine. The hunt was great, but the time with my son in the woods was priceless! And, since I started hunting with my Dad back in 1968 Leupold has always been my only scope. This really hit home for me. I’m basically this guy- similar age, city government worker recently diagnosed with MS. I am driven to hunt by that sense that time is running out. The hardest part about MS is that it’s invisible-everyone around you tends to forget you have it. I appreciate this video because it raises some awareness for something most people don’t understand.
