Lots of haters. If I had the money you guys could do all this to my truck any day of the week 😂 great upgrade im sure its a blast to drive now. I have so much more to fix before i can do anything fun 😢 we will get there I just have no patience. God that sounds good.
Been doing this for 6 years. If you check out my other channel Powerstroke central I have built 4 of my own diesel trucks one of which is a 6.0L Powerstroke and does a 0-60 in 4 seconds on stock headbolts and headgaskets. Proper tuning goes a long way.
I have not watched a lot of your content but I wasn't planning to because the three vids I did watch all were either a poor build like this one or had misinformation also like this one. I will agree with you on the tuning but I disagree with a 4 second 6.0 on stock headbolts cause that's just a poor build and in most cases won't hold.
And there is a lot more stuff this customer was reccomended that he just didn’t want to do like injectors an intercooler and an exhaust system. But he was the one that decided not to do it. If you have an endless budget i can absolutely build you a badass truck but it’s not always in the budget to do so.
Depending where you are driving yes but if anyone is towing up a mountain that's where you will notice it. In my 2001 you could tow on a race tune at low elevation and flat ground no issues but any time I was climbing with it I had to drop to my heavy tow tune and still would sometimes be dropping down to 2nd to keep the egt down. And yes I had a healthy turbo and no Boost leaks or anything like that.
Injectors in 7.3’s aren’t rated that way (% over stock). They’re rated by the cc, and the % difference in nozzle. So for example I have 205cc 80% injectors. A 300% 7.3 injector would be at least 300cc, which could be enough fuel for up to 700-800 hp
@jamesryplewski2860 oh thanks for explaining that to people . I learned that in the 90s . I have 300 cc injectors in my 7.3 and 100% s in my Cummins , and and 238/100s hybrids from full force in my other 7.3. the 238/100 injectors have been my favorite. The 300cc injectors are way to big but a lot of fun because I have all the other supporting mods for big injectors for no reason .
When going faster the bed actually makes a whirlpool of wind, so the air actively going over the truck actually jumps right over it as if there is a topper there. That’s why removing the tailgate actually makes it less aerodynamic.
Pretty much a little bit more power and a hpop upgrade, I’m on my 3rd reman pump. First one started leaking oil, second on lasted 1000 miles before it lost oil pressure
@ I’d recommend a wicked wheel, and an adrenaline HPOP. Also if you want to keep stock HPOP don’t get reman get oem ford. As for adrenaline, I bought mine used with no history on it, and it’s been strong for 10k miles now. Do you have an automatic transmission?
I will absolutely bet you $1000 that truck isn't not even close to 300hp let alone 350hp I'll bet you go Dyno it 275hp obs does now have big enough injectors from factory to even get the potential out of a stock turbo at 90cc they were only 215hp at the crank new and you won't get more than about a 70hp increase with any tuner because of the small injectors the super duty injectors are much bigger at I think 140cc stock but they are split shot injectors instead of single shot like the obs pretty much any larger 7.3 injectors are single shot which is why you have to tune the super dutys for bigger injectors or they run like complete garbage
@@formula19think you better smell the roses and go try Google my guy that's why all 7.3 injector rebuilders are sure to tell you that when you buy them right ever noticed a obs 7.3 and a super duty 7.3 sound completely different well now you know why
@@ryanprice4845I must have gotten confused. The plunger and barrel setup on a split shot has a hole in the side of the barrel to let out a pre shot to increase cylinder pressure before the main injection cycle. Everything else is really the same other than the intensifier piston, it is slightly smaller in the split shot injectors because they inject more fuel than the older stock injectors. I believe the splits were made as 120s and 140s. The first were 90s unless the truck was a Cali truck. Also some international engines had a few different setups depending on its intention.

I don't see any haters, but I agree with you.
Great video. An asset to TH-cam. Subscribed!!! Keep it up. I see this channel gaining traction.
great job guys love it!
Definitely would never let you plan my build and do it but each to thier own ig.

Go watch my second channel and then come back to me powerstroke central.

who asked dipshit? no ones touching your busted truck
Can you run the bigger turbo on a stock tune and still see performance improvements?
are we gonna talk about the 90k miles??
Hey, Idk if you tested for it but it almost sounds like it has a dead cylinder
Php recommends lower hp tow tune for heavier loads and higher hp tow tunes for lighter loads. Is that a mistake by them? I always wondered this
If you tow heavy on a high tune your exhaust temperature will be way to high and you'll melt your engine and its also way harder on the trans
I tow over18k pounds all the time on a hot tow tune and my Egts don't change.

That trucks fuel gauge looks like mine 😂
The 300 cc injectors are Fun. Gotta have All the other supoorting goodies Though or Things start to fly apart 😂

yo i’ve always wondered if a soft or hard topper makes a difference in aerodynamics when driving u should test it

What about the 6.7? any updates 🙏
Wicked
Dose the e fuel setup only use one tank
@@UnbannMe no it uses both
needs an intercooler
I have an irate efuel, Does anybody know the best fuel pressure at idle for 180/30 injectors? Im running 72psi will being to high hurt anything?
Turn your reg down to 65-68psi
Turn your regulator down a bit, but about 70 psi at idle is how a super duty runs stock
Got a parts list for a 2002 7.3?
What’re you trying to do with the truck? I have a 99 but it’s mostly the same parts I can give you my list and my current power estimate

Yes slushbox with a plus 8 quart pan, and the 6.0 tranny cooler
What ar turbo do you use
All Kc stage 2 turbos for 7.3’s are .84 ar
Did I see 900k on the dash 🤨😳
96,000 5:46
95,418 ain’t even broke 100k yet
Ok.

Cool story bro
@formula19 the new body style 7.3s 99-03 do in fact have spit shot injectors it's not my first spin around there bud

Ya he said the HP and I almost fell out of my chair! Stage 2 turbo doesnt make sense either for stock injectors or even a 160/30.
