  • Are you put on a performance improvement plan (PIP) and you are shocked?
Here are a few guidelines of PIP and how to fight back as an employee.
Is your boss quiet firing you? Managing you out using PIP threat?
Putting an employee on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) without having several discussions in advance and support is purely done to manage employees out with the cause. Which will impact the severance and employment insurance.

I’m fighting a pip right now. My managers and HR rep were not prepared for me to email a rebuttal. They have ignored my email for two weeks and in those two weeks I have found that along with HR, management retroactively changed metrics while giving me praise on my performance. It’s a weird situation. I will be writing another follow up email documenting my findings along with reference to a message from HR that confirmed the retroactive changes. The fact that I even have to do all this is enough for me to know that I am in the wrong company. I still am fighting it for my own integrity.

I did the same. You can do that for a bit, but in the end they will go after you and you will never ever ever be promoted within that company. Try you best to leave and find a better place. Corp O Rat America is broken. I hope you survive an flourish in your career. Best wishes.

That's excuse they don't want anything in writing! ONLY what they impose on YOU. They'll call you though. Once they start trying to do a zoom meeting or a phone call meeting its "curtains". Theyre CYA is on high def!

Whats ironic is....HR wasn't even a thing until emotional women entered into the workforce. NOW we have H.R. who really isn't there for employees. I guess if all the employees unionized that might take some power away from all too many HR departments that assume they have all the power.

Could you please share- did they force you to complete pip before releasing you?

PIP were recently created by corporations as a cowardly way to remove workers. In my 45 years of working I never heard of one until about 4 years ago. It was a way for the company to fire the older (and performing employees) and replace with younger workers. These were professionals and subject matter experts in the company. They finally got to me. And they did this with a 20 something that they recently made as my manager. It was an insult. I saw it and laughed and left within 2 weeks. You can listen to the bogus subjective reasons and document them, but whatever you do, DO NOT SIGN a PIP. NEVER! Once you sign it even if they try to trick you to sign by saying you understood it, DO NOT SIGN A THING. Get a lawyer to negotiate a severance and again never sign it.

You should never sign a PIP because you don't know if your signature will be placed on other documents without your consent. Adobe makes it easy to do.
Once a PIP is initiated, it means the company is really bad. I started recording all of my PIP meetings and posting them to TH-cam.
I started outing companies that did this to me. Now they are angry because no one wants to work at these companies anymore.
One firm got angry when the PIP that was issued to me got her fired from her job years later.
Recently, a boss got angry when I showed off his bad behavior to his daughter. Since he wants to blame me for bogus crap, I decided to get people to blame his daughter for lithium ion battery fires. His daughter designs batteries for Apple.

@@BadStructuralEngineeringFirmsinteresting.. what's your TH-cam so I can watch these!! Corporate America is horrible. They have no integrity and the younger generations have no integrity.... everyone's replaceable, they have no soul, they've sold out for the almighty dollar so they'll treat anyone any kind of way. It's all about my pronouns, my feelings, not professional manner or practical application or humanity. They make you play their games. I guess the LBGTQ groups played their cards right....theyre the kings/queens of the game!
