@Brendan Davis I just realized I didn't your $5.00 donation to the channel, I apologize for not seeing it and answering your question! Here's the answer to your question "What are some good indicators you made a good impression on a station visit?" 1. They invite you back. 2. They seemed genuinely interested in showing you the station/talking with you. 3. They asked you questions about yourself and your interests. Thank you again for your support Brendan!
Hey Mike! I missed this stream, but thanks again for posting and answering so many questions. I have a few that I'd really value your input on, but I learned a lot from this (and your other content) and am looking forward to continuing this journey. Appreciate what you're doing for us aspiring FF--and for opening a dialogue about the community. Tangent: not sure if it's on your radar, but I think there's a criminal lack of FF guests on well-known military-esque podcasts (Cleared Hot, Jocko, FNG Academy come to mind), and I think you'd make a great representative. I know there are a few FF centric podcasts out there, but I haven't found one that strikes the same chord as the others I mentioned; I feel like you and your friend on the SWAT team (or whoever) would be a recipe for dynamic content that could be a great extension of the channel. Thanks again.
Hey . Possibly unique question but an interview question I had was what do you value most in a department you want to work for? Not sure if there’s certain points to hit for that or just a person to person basis. Along the lines of family/brotherhood, training, etc.?
@firefighterNOW You need to check out @swedishfirenerd on Instagram, he rocks a massive beard. In Sweden, they apparently passed a law that doesn't allow employers to dictate personal appearance, so as long as these guys pass their fit test, their beard is a go!
