The problem with tanks on hills is gun depression. The only go up or down so far. Some tanks are much worse than others. One of those hidden stats like turret rotation speed.
Man this is such a fiddly game. I actually appreciate all the little details, it makes the combat feel really unique, but the game never explains any of the mechanics at all. Without videos like this I straight up wouldnt be able to play.
Thanks! AA sightlines mattering is something that still doesn't make sense to me from a mechanics perspective. I kind of understand the reasoning for it, but I keep running into this problem where if I put AA with good sight, the enemy will see it with recon and kill it.
You don’t have to put it out completely in the open. You just don’t want to put it up right next to cover. If you zoom down and look from the weapons angle you can see how it legitimately blocks the line of sight
I see, so my 155mm artillery along with the 76mm AT and the AA with then with the commander in the middle and the supply truck hauling along right at the frontline was not a good idea. Got it
Hey, can you tell how to attack when you completely overwhelm the enemy? In team games and 10v10 I sometimes rek by opponents hard and then I'm left with shit ton of units but I can't attack over open terrain because a single AT gun kills everything. Any tips for attacking with shit ton of units?
Combined arms is the key to a successful attack, especially over open ground. Set up AT, support, and arty to attack any units that reveal themselves. Use smoke to cover your advance if available. Don’t just attack move a bunch of infantry and tanks. That’s how you get them all killed
@@atkpwrgaming thanks man, I like big battles the most but I fail to micro them properly and just sit there on shit ton of units or send them all to their deaths.
Because the unit in the support tab is actually a commander which has a different function. When the leaders are in range of a commander (1500m) they buff the units by two veterancy instead of one
@@atkpwrgaming it's weird...my light towed AA had no problem with firing arcs while on the edge of forests, in light woods (haven't tried inside deep forest tho...even if i could it would seem cheesy), BUT my self propelled has those line of sight issues you mention when on the edge of deep forests...maybe just maybe the mechanics considers line of sight for AA to match ability to travel through? if so maybe deep forest towed AA might actually be a thing
@@macelharen it’s cause the vehicle stuff is not in the forest so the forest blocks them. The non vehicle stuff is in the forest and shooting out of it
@@atkpwrgaming re: AA positioning. I'm noticing that low flying planes will be out of sight for deep woods towed AA (until they get to what you said about right on top of them) ...and some hill crests will easily prevent LOS as well for AA trying to look over deep forest. But, i swear AA will work in deep forest against certain targets and i'm starting to suspect that it's more than merely "deep forest = no los"...unfortunately, playing around with AA deep in forests means all you'll really be able to shoot at are high flying recon planes and heavy bombers - other stuff closer to the ground are gonna fly under the radar. i've only got about 500hrs playing so far so i'm sure i'll get a better feel for why AA hidden inside deep forest can shoot planes eventually
that 100m range on grenades seem awful optimistic. QBs in the NFL are considered pretty good if they can throw 70yds. And thats with lighter, grippier ball that is aerodynamic (when thrown properly).
This is really primordial to get good at the game.
It is a big thing that separates good from not so good players

Yes, it is a serious pain!

Super happy to help! Yeah complex games like these tend to be quite under explained
@@atkpwrgamingwould love to get into this game with you. Would you be open to playing a few rounds? Or just BS’ing on discord?
@@atkpwrgamingLove the videos. Your videos help so much.
@@CJR505 thanks so much!
This is a really good guide that every new player should watch.
Thank you!
Very very good tutorial! A must watch for every new player in the game.
Glad it hit the mark!

Probably your best video so far! A lot of really handy information
Thanks a bunch!
08:00 - ahhh the infinite aligning icon explained. cheers.
Worst thing in the game haha
Lots of great advise. thank you for your service for the community!
This kind of things should be in the official tutorials
Thanks a bunch! I definitely should look into them linking them on that front page

hahaha exactly
Great tutorial!
Now even a fool like myself can be decently competent in this game, thank you!
Love this game and games like it, but it’s hard to get good at. I’m a newb and get overwhelmed lol.
That is always the challenge haha
Super helpful even though I've been playing for 6+ months
Thank you.
Absolutely, hope it helped!

Did they fix the hill firing problem?
Nope.

Thank you for the video btw

Awesome!

why are leaders on support tab much more expensive than the ones on infantry tab or arty tab?

09:45 - god d*mn*t! my poor abused AA shoved into the side of forests for green cover
Thats where it needs to be haha

Oh it’s unrealistic but it’s one of those things for in game purposes needs to happen that way
